Kimi looked at Kyly and smiled kindly, if Karissa wanted her to leave then it was fine by her. "You can leave or, you can stay and not criticize Karissa because really, none of us has the right to judge others" she replied calmly. Kimi wasn't going to lie, it was the truth.

"Thanks for backing me up."She said. Krystal ran up to Karissa. "Thank you so much for the party sis!"She said, hugging Karissa. "No problem Krys."Karissa smiled. "Now go an play with your friends. We'll be opening presents in a minute." Krystal nodded and left to play with her friends.

Kimi smiled and hugged Karissa back, she held Chris's hand. "Thanks Karissa! Thanks Teddy Bear!" she joked, remembering her old nickname for Jason. "We're all getting married on the same day right?" Kimi asked curiously. Her eyes gleamed at the though, Chris was amazing and she was glad that she had him all to herself. She also knew that Jason was kind and caring towards Karissa and Kimi was glad that they were happy together.

Kimi smiled "I wouldn't ever forget it! I used to call him that ALL the time" she laughed. "Yes, that is amazing!" she told Karissa, feeling happy and looking forward to that magical day. The day she would be a Mrs. instead of a Ms. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, loving the life that she had. Friends that were her family, Chris. It was just a great feeling. [Epic fail lol!!] |

Chris put his arm around Kimi and smiled. "Present time!"Karissa called. Krystal and her friends ran to the table and sat down. Karissa handed Krustal the present Jason had bought for her. It was a fur real friends dog. Krystal was estatic and hugged Jason.

Kimi smiled and winked at Jason. "Good choice!" she couldn't wait for Krystal to open the gift she had gotten for her, it was the soft purple jacket with hearts on it. Krystal's name was printed hugely on the back, little gems circling it. Kimi had spent a long time looking for the perfect gift and she was pretty sure that she had hit a home-run with this one. She looked over at all of the kids that were there and she remembered the excitement of when she had birthday parties. The food, family, and the presents had to be the best. Her blue eyes sparkled, a smile on her face when she saw that Krystal was happy. Happiness wasn't something that you could buy and it was very rare... Well in Kimi's opinion anyway. "I want some of that cake..." Kimi joked, her eyes lingering over to the food table. It was a marvelous cake, designed with pink, purple, and blue icing. Yum.... Kimi smiled and hugged her. "Welcome, love" she murmered softly. She sat down on a chair and watched Krystal open the rest of her presents, curious about what Karissa had gotten her. Her thoughts flooded back to her, the building on fire. The explosion..... all random events and she couldn't figure out why they had happened. Still, she didn't feel safe, as if there was someone lurking in the shadows, waiting to destroy the peace that had finally settled in her life. Shivering slightly, she let those thoughts die. Kimi smiled at the ex
pression on Krystal's face, such joy could never be contained in a single photograph but she pulled out her camera anyway. "Say cheese, Krystal!" she laughed before taking a picture. It was a nice one too, yet Kimi found it to be decieving. Pictures didn't really show a person the happiness or the feelings in an atmosphere but it came pretty close. Kimi blinked, startled when her cell vibrated in her pocket. Quickly, she took it out and looked at the text that she had recieved. It read: Hello, Kimi. I do hope you're enjoying yourself. ~Carmile. What does he want? Kimi thought with a sigh. Carmile used to be totally in love with her until the day she broke his heart by saying that she didn't want to be with him. She hoped he would just never speak to her again but according to this text he wasn't going to give up.

Kimi smiled and replied: I am enjoying myself, but why text me now? You haven't been in contact with for 3 years.. After she sent the text, Kimi got up and said, "Cake time!!" she couldn't hold back her craving for the cake. It's probably because Im pregnant, she thought with a small smile. Slowly, she walked over to the cake and counted all of the candles. Two years before, the one you could adore. She remembered this little rhyme that she had made. Kimi looked back over at Karissa "Read this" she told her, showing her the text that Carmile had sent her. She shivered again, the feeling of danger came to her.

Kimi shrugged. "I have no idea.. But I don't want to see him if that's what he wants.." Just the thought of meeting him face-to-face seemed scary. "I don't want any problems with him" she whispered back. The whole situation seemed suspicious. Carmile didn't seem like the type of person to cause trouble but he was unpredictable, so he could do anything. Kimi blinked, her blue eyes dull with worry. "We can't let this ruin the party though, Karissa. So, let's enjoy ourselves!" she forced a fake smile, and tried to avoid eye contact with Chris. He always knew when something was bothering her.

Kimi frowned, Karissa was right. "I know... but I'm gonna have to try. I don't want Chris to be worried, it would only cause problems", she whispered. Suddenly, Kimi wasn't hungry anymore and she felt a little dizzy. She sat down and looked at all of the kids that were there for Krystal's birthday. Is it hot in here or what? Kimi spotted Chris making a face at her. He's gonna find out... "I have to go to the bathroom!", she announced, racing for the door. In the hall it was silent, the only thing she heard was the pounding of her heart. I think I'm going to be sick.... Entering the bathroom, she almost slipped but she grabbed onto one of the hand rails that was on the wall.
