(( Sorry if it seems Im copying your post a bit here Aslin but i dont know what to put as an intro >.< ))
AJ told his dad he would be out for just the night, yea right. He knew his dad was shipping him out in the morning. The rain was falling down hard and fast and soon his glasses were full with water. He zipped up his sweater and put his hoodie over his head, not knowing where he was going or what he was going to do. As safe as the academy sounded for Demi-gods, he didnt want to be there. AJ then found himself hiding from all the car lights he saw, why did he have to be so afraid all of the time..? He felt weak and wanted to cry. AJ then hid in the local park, sitting on a bench as he sobbed quietly and covered his face with his hands. He hated his life, why couldnt he be normal?

Alyssa felt a thump on the bench she was sitting on, though she didn't really care anymore. Her life was a mess, her mother was a mess, she was even a mess. It was raining, it was dark, it was cold. She pulled her fuzzy jacket around her tightly, trying to gather what seldom warmth was left. She'd recently gotten off a flight to New York, and was in a large park that seemed almost deserted. She looked over to see who was sitting next to her, and saw a depressed guy about her age. Alyssa didn't want to stare, so she looked back down at her knees, all of her scarlet-pink hair falling over her face. Basil heard a small thump outside the door, and went over to open it. He looked around but couldn't see anyone. Then, he looked down, and saw a girl on the steps. "Hey... Do you, uh... Want to come inside? It's kinda cold in the rain, you know." He backed up and gestured into the house, holding to door open. "This isn't kidnaption... And I'm not going to murderize you." He smirked. He often made up words like kidnaption, murderize, and helpededededed.

AJ just barely noticed a girl sitting next to him, she seemed upset too. "Um, are you in a state of depression as well..?" he asked, trying best to wipe away the tears knowing his father would just throw him away like unimportant document files. AJ then looked around at the gloomy city and then up into the sky, his glasses protecting him from any rain getting in his eyes. That stupid academy was up there somewhere. AJ always dreamed of going to an academy, just- not one that kept you away from civilization. Using his power, he picked a flower from the ground and gave it to the girl. Not in an impression for affections though, he barely knew the girl, just to be kind and try to cheer her up.

She lifted her head triumphantly, then her eyes widened and she dropped the flower in her lap. "I just said that out loud, right? Oh god, I hate my brain, I hate my brain..." She rapped her knuckles on her forehead, then stopped. "Wait, wait... Concussion... Wait..." She muttered. Basil's eyes widened, then pulled the girl inside, shutting the door quickly. "Yeah, yeah, me too. But you need to be quiet. Government agents everywhere." He leaned against the stairwell in the hallway, breathing heavily from shock.

AJ was a bit confused by this girl. She's right in the head, right?.. He thought curiously. "Um, yea why..?" he asked, now in full attention to the girl. If only it were clear and AJ could see how this girl really looked. (( Short post. :P ))

Alyssa slumped, placing her head on her palms. "My mom said that smart gets you nowhere. Probably because... Er... My dad was kind of a really, really, really smart goth, I guess. Mom doesn't want me to be like him, but, go figure. I keep saying Wikipedia-worthy stuff when I'm... You know, bereaved or pensive." She picked up the small flower again, holding it in one palm while holding her head up with the other. She then looked back over to the boy. "Can you even... See?" She put the flower down again and wiped his lenses with her sleeve on the heel of her hand. "Better?" Basil knit his hands together, looking at the wall. "That god Uranus. He's the god of the sky, not that well known, though." |

AJ blushed when the girl bent over to wipe his glasses. "I um.. uh, ye-yea.." he said,akwardly turning away and blushing even more. Smart and nice, that was good. So was he. AJ felt this way before but that was way back in grade school. "Um, maybe being smart isnt too- bad?" he said with a shrug. "I dont know but, Im kind of a nerd if you havent noticed.." he said stating the obvious. AJ then wanted to impress the girl by showing her his ability a bit more. He looked around at the park and saw a parked car by the curb. "Look what I can do, I think its maybe because Im smart..?" he said lamely. He then pushed the car a bit more onto the street with a wave on his hand. Before he knew it the ar alarm went off and he panicked, knowing it would probably wake up the whole neighborhood. "Oh! I um. We should go!" he said worried.

(Will update for Basil when Aslin posts.) Alyssa smirked, a devilish smile on her face. "I think you're my kind of guy." She stood up and took the guy's hand to pull him up, then got ready to run. "Hold on tight, it's going to be a bumpy ride." She swiped two fingers over the air above her head, then blew on her fingers, a shroud of darkness enveloping her and the boy whose hand she held. She sprinted off down the street, dragging him with her, then stopped at an apartment to open the door. She gently shoved him in, then shut the door behind them to drag him up the stairs again, to room 415. She looked out the window, then did the same motion to make the darkness go away. |

AJ was impressed by this girls ability. "Haha, wow.." he smiled. He then shook his wet hair like a dog and looked back to the girl. "Thanks a lot. I dont think I ever got your name by the way?" he asked as he took off his wet sweater, it was damp and it went right through his T-shirt. "Great." he grumbled and twisted the sides of the shirt so a bit of water came out.

She walked over and leaned against a wall, folding her arms. |

AJ smiled and leaned against the wall, only to soon find out the wall wasnt there in the first place.. He fell to the floor and his behind felt sore and he picked himself up and chuckled, embaressed and scratched the back of his head. "I um, meant to to that.. Anyway my name is Arthur James. You can call me AJ though. Most people do.." he said.

I just live by myself because I just moved here, like two hours ago, and my mom is just a bad person. And my dad told me to come here to go to this camp thing. I don't know if I should go or not, but my dad rarely talks to me. I think I should do what he says." She looked up at AJ, but didn't move because she was still blushing a bit. |

AJ knew what camp she was talking about. "DONT!" he accidently yelled. "Sorry, I know what camp he was talking about because my dad want me there too. He says he's embarresed to have a Demi as a son, knowing some co-workers of his know I am one.." he said. "But that camp. It just sounds horrible. They lock you away from civilization and you arent allowed to leave at all until you 'control' your powers. As if I dont know how!" he exclaimed, throwing out both his arms which caused him to break a window in the kitchen. AJ slowly moved his hand back to him and looked at Alyassa, "Im so sorry, I-I can help you pay for it!" he said, not wanting to be kicked out.
