Rin was a bit nervous once Chance left. The absence of the strong male meant that animals would target her. She sat down on a tree stump in the clearing, and looked at the pool of water that she had drawn up, though she didn't know that she had brought it up from the ground. The girl was still in denial, really.
She chewed on her lip and stood as Chance came back. He was carrying a rather large deer, and, being a city-dwelling girl, she had never had deer meat. Either way, she was hungry enough to eat much, much more than she could ever hold. She relaxed a bit, but saw the smirk on his face.
What was he smirking at? Was there something wrong with her face. She shook her head, and dismissed the question.
"I hope you don't plan on eating it raw. The issue we have now is making a fire. It just recently rained- I can tell by the way it smells here- so there won't be much wood that will burn easily..." She wondered how she could actually smell the water. It was a strange smell, but it was all around. It was faint and comforting to the girl.
