((M'kay. Let's do sixth year, okay?))

Hermione sat on the uncomfortable seats of the Hogwarts Express. Her beloved, yet ugly cat sat on her lap, purring as she stroked him. That year would be the same as all of the others, other than she was a year older. She looked quietly out of the window. She was alone in the cart, but she didn't mind. It was better than being stuck in the cart to the left of her, which had Ron and Harry in it.

To Hermione, all those two ever did was talk about Voldemort. She just wished that it would all end already. She rubbed her temples, and looked at the passing candy cart. She felt a bit sick, so she didn't bother with buying anything.

Draco swaggered through the train, trying to get the candy cart lady's attention. When she finally stopped, he glared at her, buying one of everything on the cart. He passed her the needed Galleons, peering into the closest cart.

He opened the cart door, sneering. "Well if it isn't Potter and his little band of losers." 

"Need some glasses, Draco? It's just me. Oh, and one day, your face is going to get stuck that way." Hermione let out a smug smile. "If you feel like bothering Harry, go one more cart down. Just don't bother me." Hermione's cat, Crookshanks, hissed, and let out a cat-like growl.

"Well," Draco scratched at his chin. "I've always been friendly, I suppose. Just to all the wrong people." He shrugged. "And I really don't like that kid." He added, chuckling.

"He can't be a full feline, then. I mean, no offense, but look at him." 

Hermione couldn't help but smile. She laughed and said, "I guess so. He probably isn't a full feline. Anyway, I'm starting to not like Harry all that much, either. All he does is worry about being killed by you know who, and drool over Cho Chang and Ginny." Hermione rolled her eyes.

"So, since you don't seem to be busy, care to join me?" She gestured to the empty space around her.

Surprisingly, Crookshanks enjoyed Malfoy's touch. He rubbed his head against his hand, and purred loudly. Hermione let out a stifled laugh.

"I completely agree with you. To be honest, I don't see why Harry likes them, and I don't see why they should like him. I mean, they're both nice and all, but... They just wouldn't do well with Harry."

"What kind is it?" Hermione wondered what Ron and Harry would've thought of her if they saw her and Draco together. It definately wouldn't be good. She didn't care, though. He was handsome, and quite gentlemanly to be honest. She looked out of the window once more and said, "Oh. We're almost to Hogwarts. See it on the horizon, there." She pointed to a small blackish grey dot on the horizon. You could barely see it, due to the setting sun. By the time they got there, it would be night time, and completely dark.

"I'll be fine. I just feel kinda woozy." The truth was, Hermione felt like she was going to faint. She didn't want to get up, but they were already at Hogwarts. Now they had to get off, and load onto the carriages that were pulled by absolutely nothing, or so it seemed.

The train's whistle blew, and everyone began to get up. Hermione grabbed her luggage, which was light, and began to head for the cart's door. She made it about half way, and her knees buckled. She fell to the ground, but caught herself on the doorway. She tried to push herself up, but didn't quite do it.
