Hermione smiled playfully and said, "Oh no. You've got to work for that, now." She walked out of Hogwarts and onto the grounds, stopping where Hagrid was. Hermione and Draco were the first students there.

"Well, welcome to my world." Ever since Hermione got rid of her hourglass pendant, she forced herself to be early to everything. Hagrid turned around from petting his unicorn, and gave Hermione the strangest look you've ever seen on his face. "Um... Hermione..." He was wondering why her and Draco weren't trying to rip eachother apart. "Hagrid, it's a long story," Hermione said, laughing. "Okay," the giant said with a gutteral laugh. He turned back to the unicorn, and fed it another carrot.

"Sorta," Hagrid said, turning to Draco. "Just don't piss him off like you did with my hypogriff. Don't worry, though. I've got a leather patch over his horn so that he can't skewer you." Hagrid patted the equine creature's neck. "They're beautiful, really. But you have to be careful. If they get scared, they can be very, very dangerous." Hermione smiled. She knew all about those mythical creatures. "Unicorns live in the muggle world, too. They can only be caught if they choose you, or if you catch them yourself, which is a very, very difficult task."

"No. I've taken all precautions. Lily here is tied to a tree with pure steel chains. She can't break loose." Hagrid smiled, patting Lily, the unicorn. Hermione smiled. "Don't worry about the unicorn, Draco. It'll be fine."

"Hypogriff. You provoked that thing by being arrogant. Just relax around the unicorn, and she'll warm up to you." Hermione poked Draco's chest, smirking as she did so. Hagrid grunted and said, "You're the same old Malfoy, I see."

Hermione shuddered, and let out a small shreik. She pulled her hand away, a look of disbelief on her face. "You did not just lick me!" She kept her voice quiet so that only Draco could hear.

Hermione rolled her eyes, and looked around at the other students. Ron and Harry kept their distance, but they waved at Hermione. They knew better than to get too close to Draco. That would only provoke a fight.
