Hermione frowned, and sighed. "Okay, then." She let go of his hand reluctantly and walked over to Harry and the others.

"Hey Hermione," Harry said, smiling.

Hermione nodded and said, "Hi."

Hermione gave Ron a hug. "No sulking, please." She smiled.

Harry watched as Hagrid put a few more things into place. It was almost time for class to begin.

Hermione sighed. "Stop being jealous. There's nothing to be jealous about." She playfully flicked Ron's ear.

Hagrid turned around, and said, "Alright. Can anyone guess what we're going to be doing today?"

"Oh hush, you big cry baby," Hagrid said, glaring at Malfoy.

Harry looked at the white creature behind Hagrid. "We're going to learn how to care for a unicorn?"

"Correct," Hagrid said, nodding. "I want you guys to meet Lily. She's a purebred unicorn." His statement was followed by lots of "Oohs," by the girls. Hermione simply looked at the creature, and it looked back at her equally.

Draco huffed, glaring at him.

"Okay. Everyone, get into a boy-girl pattern. I don't want two boys next to eachother. Line up."

Hermione got behind Harry, who was first in line.

"Why are we doing this?" Harry asked, a confused look on his face.

"You see, unicorns aren't a huge fan of males. However, since I raised Lily, she doesn't mind me. When she gets around boys, she gets a bit... antsy and scared. All unicorns favor girls, though." He patted Lily, who let out a loud whinny.

Hermione turned around. "Just stay calm. She should be happy, since you're behind a girl." She giggled.

"So, step forward, pet her, get acquainted with her. Let her sniff you, and then step over here." He pointed to a space in the middle of five trees that were away from the unicorn.

Harry stepped forward, and Lily stomped her hoof onto the floor. He flinched, but got closer.

"What?" Hermione laughed. "Where on earth did you get that from? I said nothing in relation to that."

Harry stepped away from the unicorn, and Hermione turned around, moving forward. She stroked the horse's head, and Lily swished her tail anxiously. She wasn't very comfortable around all these people. Especially all of the boys, since they made up the majority of the class.

After a few moments, Hermione stepped away to stand by Harry. She watched and waited for Draco to step forward.

Hagrid laughed. "Being nervous is only going to make her think that you're going to hurt her. Loosen up, Draco." He let out a bellowing laugh. Lily stamped her foot in the dirt, and let out a snort.

Lily lowered her head, pointing her horn, which was currently covered by a piece of thick leather, at Draco.

Hagrid laughed, but wasn't worried. Lily wasn't being aggressive yet. She was being defensive.

Hermione watched. What was Draco planning to do? Fight a boxing match with the unicorn?
