Maxwell whimpered, flipping his ears back and crawling over to him. "Thanks," Calyx said, running over to it. Once she had fuxed her shirt, and came back and sat down on the couch. "Fine, just a little bit."

Damon leaned down to pet Max once. "Sorry, buddy. That's for Tobi." He pulled a skillet from under the stove, setting it down on flat-topped stove. "One or two?" He asked as he formed the burgers.

Damon dropped the seasoned burgers into the skillet, covering it as they sizzled. He moved back to the counter, picking up a pickle with two fingers. Oh, how he hated pickles.

"You have a brother?" Calyx asked. Then she let out a huff. "Well fine. If it makes you feel better, I won't use any. They were the wrong kind, anyway." She set them back in the fridge. "Ketchup, mustard, and cheese is knay with me."

"Stefan." Damon answered, using the spatula to slide the burgers onto a couple of buns. He grabed the ketchup and mustard, putting it on hers. "Here ya go." He slid the plate over to her. "We don't exactly get along. This is his house, even though I technically inherited it first."
