Damon pulled something out of his back pocket; the paper. He tossed it to her. "Here. The man deserved it, anyway. He was a vampire bleeder-slash-hunter." He crinkled his nose. "And that's illegal now."

Calyx fumbled with the paper. She never was really good at catching. "Gah, butter fingers." She murmered to herself. "Humpth. Vampire hunter what?" She asked, rolling open the paper and scrolling down to find the place she stopped at.

Damon chuckled. "You okay there? A bleeder, sometimes called a drainer, is someone who takes vampire blood to either consume themselves or sell. It's in high demand in the black market, but the consequences for getting caught are incredible. Something like twenty to life in prison. But it's better to get caught by the police before a vampire catches you." He shook his head.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Calyx said, finishing off the article. "Well that makes sence," she said to herself, rolling the paper back up. "Sorry if I sound wierd, but I usually never come out of my house. So I've never heard nor seen a vampire before." She chuckled awkwardly after he finished. "Guess he did deserve it. Oh, you want your paper back?" She asked, handing it out to him. "Max would eat it."

"Nah, it's fine. But just to fill you in, this thing called True Blood has been creatd in Japan, it's synthetic blood for vampires. With this discovery, vampires have revealed themselves to the public. So, new laws have been made. But they can't come out in the sun, so you should be fine." Damon said, offering her a friendly smile.

"Well thats a relief," Calyx said. "And thanks--" She stopped in mid sentence when something loud banged behind her. She turned around to see Maxwell on the floor, with a large stick thto his side. Apparently, the dog decided to show his human the biggest toy he had and show it to her, but it wouldnt stick in the doorway. She let out a laugh. Poor Maxwell, he only made it worse. Maxwell barked at her before dissapearing into the house.

Damon laughed, flailing as he found himself tumbling into Calyx's lawn. He moved too quickly for any human, landing on his feet, knees slightly bent. "Aw, oops." He awkwardly scratched the back of his nack, grinning. "He's a cute dog, though. What's his name?"

(( He already asked that. xD )) Calyx stiffled giggles. "He can be cute at times, but he's very annoying." She said. "He gets very jealous, as you can see." Maxwell came over and dropped a squishy toy at her feet. He then looked up at Damon. He snarled, nipping at his legs in warning.

Maxwell growled slightly at his touch, but he got over it. He turned around and padded back to the house. "Cool," Calyx remarked, watching the dog leave. "Though, as you can see, he doesn't have the 'stay' command yet," She sighed. "Hey, wanna go inside? The bugs are coming out,"
