Sorry this took so long. My *Cough* annoying *Cough* sister kept bugging me while I kept trying to type. So it's sorta kinda a fail. bahahaha xD

For the first time, Candle genuinely frowned back at Sage; since she was frowning at him. Just when he was about to ask what the letter was about – or who it was from for that matter – she was escorting him out of the room, him reluctantly obeying.
“Uhm… Alright Sage. I’ll wait out here…”
He said as she closed the door.

~
The rest of my murky night was mostly me wandering around in the sinister, eerie forest with thoughts twisting about in my brain. I was dying to know how she would react to the letter but at the same time, I didn’t want to know. What if she just rolled her eyes, and didn’t even take a couple minutes to read it? I highly doubted that though. Maybe, hopefully, she read it fully and understood that I would never hurt her, for I am not the Beast that you see in the outside.
Funny how one girl could make my thoughts meander the way they were that night.
“I’m not a Beast… I’m not like them…”
I had to growl to myself as I heard wolves in the distance. Before any kind of ruckus could break out, I chose to leave the spot I sat in all night and started back for the tower. Those wolves could get feisty when seen by me – or anyone for that matter.
~
When Sage came back out, Candle’s thoughts of any letter or any frown found on Sage’s face was gone.
“My my… do you look… Beautiful!”
He exclaimed, excitedly. Secretly becoming joyful that this was the way the Beast would meet her.
“Well, actually I was wondering if you were hungry. Just a forewarning, Beast will be dining with you this morning. I hope that’s alright?” Without waiting for Sage’s response, he gently nudged her to the bedroom door that led to the hallway.
“I bet the Beast will be delighted in meeting you now, during breakfast.” He said happily – putting words in the Beasts mouth, parse - as the bedroom door opened without being touched, and Candle kept nudging until they came out into the hallway. “The magic in this tower is always fascinating, don’t you think?” Candle asked as he stared at the bedroom door for a moment while it latched back in place in the door hinge.
“I used to be petrified with the whole mess, when I first turned to a Candle, and Clock became…Well a clock. And, Prince Andrew became a Beast… It scared us all.” The realization didn’t hit him that he said some more personal information that wasn’t supposed to be said yet. He also didn’t realize she already knew all that information. When he realized he said something that he was prohibited to be said, he frowned and looked up at Sage,
“I’m sorry. I wasn’t supposed to mention such things until Beast was ready…” He rolled his eyes and tried to change the subject as they started down the hallway. “Did you have a good night’s sleep?”

"Y-you think so?" Sage asked, looking down at her dress.
Beautiful.  The word rang in her head, filling it with frilly daydreams that took away her reality.  Stop it, she wanted to yell, Don't say that!  I'm not beautiful.  That's what my sisters are.  Please don't compare me to them.  Part of her knew that it was ridiculous to think these things--Sage at least knew she wasn't horrendously ugly--but the words pretty and beautiful only turned her into a dimwitted idiot.  True beauty was her sisters.  Sage simply couldn't compare.
Realizing that she had lost the last few sentences Candle had said, she broke out of her thoughts.  "Hungry?  Oh, yes..." she paused, the last few things sinking in.  "I-I don't mind eating with An--I mean, the Beast."  She skipped over his slip of tongue.  She wasn't sure if anyone else knew about the letter, and she certainly didn't want to upset the Beast if he wanted it to be kept secret.  "I slept well, thank you very much....did you?"  She bit her lip, wondering if talking candlesticks slept at all.  It had been a stupid question, but it was too late to take it back now.
Sage turned her attention to the lavishly decorated hallways that they passed through.  They were even more colorful and elegant than last night, with sunlight streaming through windows to illuminate the splashes of color against the pale stone.  She found herself wondering how a castle so large could be decorated so grandly.  This Prince Andrew--if the Beast was to be believed--must have been beyond rich.
She sighed.  If only her family could have seen this.
Swallowing a pang of tears, Sage forced a bright smile.  "So, what's for breakfast?" she asked, changing the topic from her blunder as well as pushing away thoughts of homesickness.  The thought of food as good as last night's made her stomach rumble.
But this would be different.  This time, she would be dining with the Beast.

As the front entrance door opened up fully to meet the inside of my foyer in the castle, I quickly padded through the hallways. Before I realized what I was doing, my feet guided me to the room I snuck into last night.
To the girls room.
Sages bed room.
I could hear Candle and Sage in some other hallways, leading to the breakfast area. How would he have breakfast now, if Sage was in there? I guessed Candle planned that all along.
My fear of her seeing me made me avoid going to break fast for a couple moments.
Since I knew Sage and Candle, and everyone else was gone, I snuck into her bedroom. I had to see if she even noticed the note. The worst that could have happened was her not even reading it, or it accidently falling under the-
Frowning, I saw a flash of white parchment on the ground by the desk. My mind told me I was wrong, that it wasn't the right letter, but my heart told me differently. Slowly, I made my way to that desk and put my monstrous paw toward the letter hesitantly. I turned the papers over to see what was written on them once they were in my hands, and my stomach dropped. It was mine, that she threw on the ground. Did I scare her? Did I seem to forward? I highly doubted it, for I tried so hard to sound like a human, because that was who I really was. Crushed, I put the letter on the desk, not caring if she found it that way, and had to brace myself for the breakfast to come. Soon, they would be looking for me. And, with that thought in mind, I started out of the room. But, before I could, I quickly walked back to the letter that made me feel like a blabbering fool, and picked it up. Glancing over the words a couple times to see if there was anything that could have frightened her, or angered her. It was also my way of avoiding seeing her - or her seeing me.
I groaned to myself, feeling literal pain as I started ripping up the letter, feeling completely alone.

~

Candle chuckled at Sage's question and said,
"Actually, I usually only sleep little, but it was a good sleep. Clock says its because I talk to much. I doubt that." He rolled his eyes, completely oblivious to how talkative he could be - or was. "Its a good thing your hungry, because we planned on making a lot for you and Beast today." He smiled as he kept going around hallways. When they came to the kitchen, Candle opened the door for Sage and said,
"Age before beauty..." He frowned and mumbled, " I never understood what that meant until I just now said it. This one fits better." He said, while dramatically clearing his throat and putting his hand back on the door,
"Sage before beauty." He hoped Sage knew he was only kidding as he said that, but he didn't know if she was that sensitive to small jokes like that so he chose not to apologize.

Ooc// ;-;  That's so...sad....

Sage laughed.  "Right you are, my dear fellow."  She swept into a theatrical, over-the-top curtsy before entering the dining hall.
She didn't gasp in amazement like a moonstruck calf this time, but the sheer grandeur of the room threatened to take her breath away.  A smile split her face as she spotted the same table in the same place as before.  Perhaps some things would remain constant in this tumultuously changing world.
She looked back to Candle, about to voice her thanks, when another question entered her mind.  "Have you met Violet?" she asked, turning her back to the table to face the candlestick.
She distantly realized that she had rudely pushed past her host and broken her promise from the night before, but she pushed the thought to the back of her mind.  At least she wasn't acting like a complete and utter pig today.  Part of her was glad that she had postponed meeting the Beast.  Another part dreaded that that moment was now upon her.
As she waited for Candle's response, she turned back to admire glimpses of gardens through high windows.  Multiple doors lined the far wall, presumably to be opened for a spring party, or to air out the hall on a hot summer's day.
A strange sense of contentment stole into Sage then.  She still had her misgivings about the whole situation, mind you--but she was beginning to feel much less high-strung.  Borderline relaxed....but not quite.  But, the feeling was more than she had ever hoped for in this mysterious place, so she latched on tight to it.  Who knew how long it would last?

As Candle led her to the same table that they were at yesterday, he gave her a confused look,
"Uhm, no. Never heard of Violet. Who is she?"
he asked as Clock came into view from the door in the back.
"Breakfast is almost ready, Sage dear. Go ahead and sit." Clock said. Candle walked over to Clock, and stared at him as he said,
"If Clock's time is correct, Beast should be here any minute..." He said this more to himself, but then felt a soft nudge from Clock as Clock replied,
"You call him Master, Candle. Not Beast." As he emphasised the word 'Beast' he did a dramatic look at Sage to show why. Candle rolled his eyes and said in more of a whispered tone,
"I think she knows by now about our Master. She did hear him having that temper tantrum..." Candle rolled his eyes once again, and turned back to Sage with admiration in his eyes. His ADD kicking in.
"Clock, doesn't she look dashing? Just splendid! Master will be head over heels and the spell will-"
"Candle! Help me in the kitchen..."
Clock said with clenched teeth as he pulled Candle out of the room. Scolding him the second the door closed on Sage.

After a couple moments, Clock appeared in the dining room and walked over to Sage.
"The buffet is read-" Before he could finish, 3 tables rolled with no one pushing them into the same spot by the wall they were in yesterday. Clock chuckled as he kept going. "...Ready. I don't think Master will mind if you started eating. To be honest, he's probably not the most excited about meeting you right no-"
"Of course he is!" Candle said, putting words in Beasts mouth without really realizing it. He was too oblivious for his own good.
Or Beasts.
"So start eating, and we'll fetch Master..." Clock went on, rolling his eyes at Candle and walking away to the door that led to the other hallways in the tower.

~

After a couple more moments, the rejected letter was ripped to shreds. I knew that if I threw it in a trashcan in her room, she would know I was in her there, which wouldn't be good. So, I brought the ripped up paper with me as I sulked out of the room.
"I tried..." My rough voice said to myself, as the bedroom door closed on its own.
But failed...
The corner of my mind kept repeating. Before I could throw the paper away, Clock came into view.
"Beast! Beast! Sage is waiting in the kitchen for you. Breakfast is done." Clock exclaimed, coming closer. Before I responded, he added, "You don't look very happy... Your about to meet the girl who can break the sp-"
"She won't." My gruff voice replied, quietly. "But, I'll be there. Give me a moment." And with that, I had to pad away on all fours up the staircases, along the balconies and to the west wing. I had to get myself together for her.
If only for her.

~
Clock came back into the kitchen, looking puzzled. "Sorry for the delay Sage. Master is..." He shrugged and said, "He'll be right down. I don't know what's wrong." And with that, he walked to the back room where all the objects kept exclaiming how they wanted to see Sage.
Just like last night..
Clock thought with a sigh and a shaking of his head. Before he left, he said, "Remember, your free to eat as much as you want now." And with that, he was gone.

"Violet is...um, a plant, I guess.  She can talk, like you and Clock, but not move."  She giggled.  "For obvious reasons."  As Clock made his appearance, Sage added, "Thank you."  She moved to take her seat, but paused as they debated quietly.
She couldn't understand the conversation, but she caught words like "Master" and "Beast."  Frowning, she moved back towards the table.  At the moment, all she could do was hope that something hadn't gone wrong.
The table was set with a lace white tablecloth dotted with white porcelain plate painted with cheery yellow flowers.  She slid into a seat just as the two disappeared into the kitchen, leaving her to stare at the army of forks, knives, and spoons layed out on either side of her.  How each one could have a different use, she didn't know.
Wryly, Sage wondered how much etiquette she had lost since her time in the city.  Their rural cottage in the town had been much more to her liking, yes, but some things about high society had advantages.  Like knowing the uses of hundreds of forks and spoons.  Sage wished her manners were still as refined as they once had been, too, but she thought that she was managing all right.  Though, thinking about it, she had only Clock and Candle to compare to.  They were very forgiving, and seemed very eager about something to do with her....but what was it?  She would need to figure it out soon--she couldn't bear to disappoint them after all of their kindness.  And Sage hadn't been very polite to Violet at all.
Sighing, she stared out the window for a few moments.  She would have to talk to Clock and Candle about exploring those vast gardens someday--if the Beast would allow it.  Part of her doubted he intended to keep her inside for all of her time here, but the sourer part about the whole business said, Why not?  Prince or no prince, he's a Beast now for a reason.
Sage started as Clock reappeared, with the three tables in tow.  A smile broke out on her face as she saw the myriad of foods just waiting to be served.  She had never been one to eat a lot, but she liked trying new foods.  It was one of the things that had kept her sane during the countless bores of high-society parties.  That was one thing about the city that she would never miss.
"What?" she asked, realizing that she had missed the last part of Clock's explanation.  "Oh, I'm fine to wait."  Candle appeared a moment later, but her, "I can wait for the Beast," fell on silence.  He was gone.
Sage sighed heavily and got out of her chair.  She walked over to the buffet table, but she had been honest when she said that she could wait.  Eating before her captor's arrival just seemed...rude.  Not to mention stuffing herself with delicacies in the presence of someone she wasn't entirely convinced wouldn't eat her seemed like a bad idea.
She returned to her seat and poured herself some tea from an inanimate tea pot, and sipped it tentatively from an inanimate cup.
And she waited.

It took me maybe five minutes to get myself together. I didn't want to look so devestated when I first met her, but with how my heart was acheing, I just couldn't take the ex
pression off my face. I chose not to look in my half shattered mirror, because I knew it would only make me even more upset.
Finally, I walked out of the room, not caring if I wasn't dressed the best. [I guess I'll just have him wear the cape that he wore in the movie? Remember? I'll get a pic, if you don't. xD] Only wearing my cape. It was like my comfort zone, one of my only things from back when I was a human.
As my feet guided me to the kitchen doors, my face grew more and more downward. Hopefully, she wouldn't notice my ex
pression. It took me a couple more moments, to brace my self. I'd guess about a minute as I stared at the one door that kept me from the girl. Sage.
Quietly clearing my throat, I did a small knock on the kitchen door. Either to warn her that I was coming in, or to give me one more second to brace myself. Either way, I felt like I was going to vomit. I may have been a Beast, but my stomache still wasn't the strongest.
My monstrous paw landed on the knob, and I waited another moment to open it. It was as if an hour already passed by, but I knew it was only a couple moments. Finally, my heart beated faster as I opened the door, keeping my sad ex
pression downwards as I walked in. Finally, I scolded myself for being this way the first time we meet in person. I looked up, putting a fake 'happy' ex
pression on my face as I self - conciously walked forward to the seat I usually sat in - at the head of the table. Across from her. Finally, I swallowed what felt like my yesterdays meals, my low rough voice managed to say,
"Hello Sage. Sorry for the... Eh... Delay. I ..." I swallowed, all of a sudden nervous. I looked her in the eye, and kept going. "I had something come up that's sort of personal." I did a small shrug, hoping my voice at least didn't sound like a monster would.
But I knew I did.

[Yayyyyy, they finallyy meet <3]

Ooc// I won't go all fangirlish on you.  But I'm so happy.  |D

Sage's throat turned to dry parchment at his appearance.  A collision of thoughts landed in her head, blocking her tongue from forming any intelligent words.  The first thought was, Finally.  The second was, He's not that bad!  And the third, Say something, Sage!  Don't just sit there like an idiot!
Swallowing in vain, she cracked a slight smile.  "Hello...Andrew."  She said his name very quietly--she hoped that he could hear it--testing the sound of it.  It just seemed rude to call him "Beast" to his face.  Biting her lip, she wondered if Master, Sir, or Prince would have been a better ti
tle to use.  She too a deep breath--it was too late now.  "It's a pleasure to finally have your acquaintance."
Sage sat up a little bit higher in her chair, struggling to keep the flood of emotions off of her face and out of her voice.  She hoped she still looked presentable.  Remembering that a "lady" was supposed to appear mild-mannered in any respectable city party, Sage looked down at her neatly folded hands.  She was trying hard not to stare at the Beast.
It was strange, though.  The Beast looked very little like she had thought that he would appear.  She had heard that he had animalistic features, yes--but she had also heard of a giant, gaping maw full of fangs, razor-sharp claws, and blood red eyes.  Compared to how she had imagined him, he was like a...teddy bear.
That thought made her slight smile widen considerably.
Sage blinked and looked up at him again.  Definitely not the demon she had been expecting.  But then again...had she really?  His letter had seemed so down to earth, so considerate--could an evil creature really write that?  Maybe it was part of his trap.  Maybe she would meet an early demise her.  Despite that, though, she felt a slight wave of trust.  She was willing to hear what he had to say.  She was willing to hear his explanation for stealing her away from ordinary life.
Shaking the thoughts out, Sage struggled not to look away from him in embarassment.  She shouldn't be so trusting, so easily.  She decided on a quick and surefire way to change her thoughts.  "So, are you ready to eat?"

[I don't care if you do...Because I'm about too... xDDD!
I love how I'm playing the master here, and your playing the master in the other. And, I'm playing the girl that 'wonders if it's a trap' on the other, and your playing it here. Bahaha xD I just realized it. xD]

As I waited for her response to me, I still couldn't stop thinking about the letter. How I found it under the desk.
How much it hurt to rip it up and think about all hope gone.
I kept trying to tell myself, maybe she didn't read it. Maybe she didn't even notice it was under the desk. Maybe Candle found it a bad idea, and found the letter and hid it before Sage could notice it.
All those hopes changed when I heard her response.
She called me Andrew...She read it!
You'd think I'd be estatic. She knew how I wasn't dangerous. She knew how I'm just like her - or used to be. She knew I wasn't born this way.
But, I knew that meant she threw it on the ground herself.
I did a small smirk at her response, though it was slightly fake still. Is this really how they were to treat eachother?
"Yes." Was all I could say to her next response. Slowly, I rose, and was about to take a step to the tables, but before I could, a plate already gracefully flew to where I was sitting, with all my favorite foods on the plate. I did a sheepish smile in Sage's direction as I sat back down and said, "I've been here so long... They just know what I like by now." I shrugged, before grabbing the fork and taking a small bite of an egg. [-hates eggs-] As I was about to take a second bite, I glanced at Sage. My breath gone.
How oblivious was I! Me sulking because a woman like her threw away a unneccessary letter from a Beast - myself- and yet I didn't even notice her appearence. I mentally scolded myself.
"You look nice, Dear Sage." I would have said 'My Dear Sage' like I found myself doing in my thoughts lately, but with my immature sulking, I thought it wouldn't be appropriate anymore.

Sage nodded, staring at his plate.  She was beginning to wonder just how long he had been here, living in this enchanted castle with nothing but talking objects to keep him company, when he said something else.
She froze at his words.  Dear Sage...  A memory of the letter swiftly arose and sent a shiver down her back.  She struggled to force a smile.
"Thank you very much, Andrew....as do you."  She debated whether or not to put the last part, but added it anyways.  The insane part of her that wanted to trust him also wanted to give him some solace in what must be a very lonely world.
Feeling awkward, Sage briskly stood up and went over to the buffet table.  She served herself some fresh-looking melon, a bowl of oatmeal, and an egg.  As she lowered herself into her seat, she glanced back up at the Beast.
Could he really be the one that took her away from everything she knew?  His features weren't beautiful, but they weren't cruel, either.  And he hadn't been anything but kind to her--save for the dungeon incident--for her entire stay.
Then again, he had had that temper incident...
Sage pushed the thoughts away as she often did when they got nasty.  She focused on eating her food in a polite manner, though the deliciousness of it all made her want to lick it off the plate.  She struggled with something to say, but couldn't think of a good conversation starter.
Sage frowned, studying his face again.  There was something sad behind that mask-like ex
pression.
Boldly, she asked, "Is something wrong?"

[[ Awhh! <3 Yeah, I'm going all excited and stuff with this rp now <333
I'MSORRYIJUSTHATETHEM D: ]]

I couldn't help but stop eating as she added the last part to her thanking me. The one that ended with 'as do you'. My fork was in the middle of the air, inbetween my mouth and my plate, before I did a soft, quiet chuckle and take the bite.
"As nice as that is, M-... Dear Sage, I believe that is just you only being nice."
I've always tried not to be bitter with who I am, but as of now, it seemed like it didn't matter anymore.
As she stood up to gather her own food, I couldn't help but watch. I made sure not to be noticed, and from what it looked like, she never noticed my staring, thankfully.
I couldn't help it though. She really was stunning. Part of me was telling me it was just because she was first girl I've seen in a long time, and my ' human male' part of me was coming back. But my bigger part of me was telling me that it was because she was truly the most beautiful girl I've ever looked at. Even more beautiful then the girl I was going to be arrainged to marry when I was human. Before the spell.
I smirked at that thought, as I looked back down at my food so she wouldn't see me watching her. But, my eyes could only be casted down for so long, before glancing up again and again at My Dear Sage on the other side.
But, looking at her reminded me of the letter, and it immediately changed my mood back to...
Well depressed. No matter how immature I seemed right now, I couldn't help it. I was too devastated for any other thoughts or emotions.
And it seemed as though she noticed it, because soon enough, she asked what was wrong with me. At that, I didn't know what to say. Say that she completely crushed not just me, but my dreams, mood, and heart at seeing the letter on the ground? Knowing that because she probably finds me disgusting, that I will never be normal again? Say that she was my only hope, and yet she was letting me down?
Or maybe, my heart was only really splitting because I know I don't deserve her, and she had every right to throw that letter on the ground without a care?
I couldn't tell her any of this. It would only hurt more to see her lie to not hurt my feelings.
Or to hear every word she actually felt, every hurtful, disgusted word come out of her beautiful lips.
I had to lie.
"What ever do you mean, Dear Sage? I'm perfectly fine."
