Imelda, Ambrosia and Dominica dived into the water and swam down to their sisters. Ambrosia searched the treasure trove and found the dagger. Imelda nodded. "I, too, thought that dagger very familiar." she purred, swimming over to Ambrosia's side, "Put it in the safekeeping box, and hide it." Ambrosia nodded and took the dagger away to a far away place. She returned ten minutes later. Dominica looked puzzled as she looked around. "Where's Nerissa?" she asked.
Daphne held her cross to her chest as she looked on at her little sister, still conversing with the water-wench. "Arabella!" she hissed once again. Arabella couldn't hear her. She smiled as Nerissa told her all about the mermaids and their underwater palace. |
