Lex stopped at the top of a small hill by the river. At the river's edge Rose and her herd of Pegasus were watching the water. Several groups of soldiers in silver and blue armor were working on make-shift dams to block the river. Aqua Bellator was talking to some officers. He saw Lex and waved. Lex didn't move.

When I hit the mermaid with my hammer I implanted a small magical artifact known as a trace. It can detect what it is set for, in this case magical artifacts. The mermaids have a couple in their treasure trove, but there is one that is so powerful it must be a blade of Wolvern."
