(Shall we just time-skip to when their down by the river or do you want them to talk on the way there or something?)

If a man dedicates his life to good deeds and the welfare of others, he will die unthanked and unremembered. If he exercises his genius bringing misery and death to billions, his name will echo through the millennia for a hundred lifetimes. Infamy is always more preferable to ignominy-Fabius Bile

Lex stopped at the top of a small hill by the river.
At the river's edge Rose and her herd of Pegasus were watching the water.
Several groups of soldiers in silver and blue armor were working on make-shift dams to block the river. Aqua Bellator was talking to some officers. He saw Lex and waved. Lex didn't move.

Rose floated up to Lex. "Really? Another mermaid? We could have held her hostage or something!" Lex pointed the book of justice at her. "I know what I am doing."

"Is she going to come out again? She didn't finish telling me about the giant fish at the bottom of the ocean." Arabella asked, peering down at the water.

"Whether she comes out or not is irrelevant." Lex growled.
He opened the book of justice and flicked through a few pages. "As I suspected. When I hit the mermaid with my hammer I implanted a small magical artifact known as a trace. It can detect what it is set for, in this case magical artifacts. The mermaids have a couple in their treasure trove, but there is one that is so powerful it must be a blade of Wolvern."

Rose nodded. "Well we know they have one, so how do we get it off them?"
"That is where she comes in." Lex gestured to Arabella.

"Oh no! She is my sister and she's not just going to get into a dangerous situation just because you have an idea!" Daphne protested.

"We are on the brink of war. Everything may seem all calm and peaceful but within a matter of days that will change. The last time this happened was ten years ago and the resulting war saw ten thousand souls perish and the very fabric of space time was nearly destroyed." Lex knelt down to look Daphne in the eye. "Is one person worth ten thousand?"

Lex stood up again. "All we require of her is to get the mermaid she befriended to bring us the sword of Wolvern. If things go wrong Rose Aeris or Aqua Bellator can rescue her. One death is better than ten thousand, but none is better than one." He turned and walked away.
Rose floated over to Daphne. "Don't worry, I won't let your sister get hurt. Unlike Lex I see people as people, not statistics." she smiled at Daphne.

"I want to do it. Can I, pleeease?" Arabella asked.
"Okay." Daphne nodded reluctantly.

"The one thing Lex didn't explain was how we were going to get the mermaid to the surface so she can speak with you. Speaking of which I don't know your names." Rose laughed.
"The mermaid isn't going up, she is going down." Aqua Bellator approached the group. A large, scarred warrior in silver and blue armor followed him.

"I am Rose Aeris, God-Like of Air. This is Aqua Bellator, God-Like of Water and this is one of his officers who I never learn the names of because it annoys him." Rose said, looking at Aqua. Aqua rolled his eyes and forced a smile. The soldier didn't move.

"We wish to recover the blades and take them back to Magnitudem where they can be locked away in the library of eternity. The blades are weapons designed to create war and we don't want that to happen, not after last time." Aqua said.

"Those blades have been ordered by the Kingdom of Attalia to be present in the royal armoury." Daphne replied, her eyes narrowing.

"These blades were made in Vahaxalla, one of the five kingdoms of Starioc, plus the immense amount of history in Starioc they are involved in I believe they belong to us. Also, if these blades start a war it will be here and will be fought by the people of Starioc. You have no authority to claim these blades as yours." Aqua frowned and folded his arms.
