[[ Sure... -thinks- Hrm... ]]

It was after school. Time to clean the cafeteria again. Though, Markus wondered when the principle would tell him that he could stop. But, being trained to be a soldier since he was five, he knew not to question orders. Decided to mix things up, just a tiny bit, he whistle another battle hymn under his breath as he stood in one corner of the large room with his hands extended before him. Calling upon the wind, he watched as all the trash, dirt, and dust particles rode it until the wind could go no farther from the vampire.

Markus smirked, a momentary pause before starting his whistling back up.

Adam walked down to the cafeteria and found the cleaning supplies to clean the chairs and table before seeing Markus.
"Oh, hey. Thought you wouldn't show up."
Of course, that was sarcastic, seeing as Adam was the one not likely to show up.

Worry was eating me alive as I thought about how I agreed to sneak into Markus's house. What if we were caught? What if we find out what he was hiding - if he was hiding anything that important - and he found out we knew?
I shuddered, before doing as Adam asked, and started walking down the parking lot. He had said he doesn't take that long to clean the cafeteria and he doubted I'd get far enough for him not to see me.
The plan was pretty simple. We both drive to Markus's house, probably while he was sleeping, have Adam sneak in while I waited outside. Then Adam comes out when he finds something.

Markus paid no attention. Instead, he just swung down the broom he head rested upon his shoulders as he swept up the remaining mess. Of course, the vampire had used his wind abilities to clean half of the floor so sweeping the other half wasn't that much of a problem. Still whistling the battle hymn, Markus had finished his chore in around forty-five minutes.

After stowing the broom and gathering up his backpack, he left without a word.

Adam's eyes were like daggers at Markus's back as he walked out of the room. How he finished so quickly, the floor was supposed to be the harder job, he would  never know.
But soon after he was finished, so was Adam. Too bad Paradise was probably waiting out in the snow. A small chuckle escaped his throat at the thought before grabbing his things and leaving the cafeteria as well.

An angry frown was plastered on my face as I sat on the curb, my whole body shivering.
"About time."
I said through clenched teeth as I saw Adam drive up in his warm car. I got in and slammed the door, angrily.
"Tell me when to turn..."
Was all Adam said. Like I was just third wheel. I closed my eyes, knowing it was typical.
"You're going in when Markus isn't awake, right?"
I asked.
"Of course. But we have to watch him, and all. See what he does..."
And he ranted on, in a tone that said I should have known all of this already.

As soon as Markus got back to his apartment building, he was greeted by the soft caw of a raven. The vampire paused slightly to see Riiva circling lazily above his head. Her black eyes watched him and seemed to say; "About time you got home."

Markus smirked. "Just dropping something off, pretty-white-one," he spoke to the raven, using Ancient Greek. Riiva cawed once in a semblance to a huff before listing off to the downtown part of the city.

The vampire shook his head as he entered the building and bounded up the stairs two at a time. As soon as he entered his apartment, he dropped off his backpack and retrieved some more cash from a hidden stash in a fake back in one of the cabinets. Once he had everything, he walked out, locking the door behind him. He also pulled out a cigarette and lit it up, inhaling the noxious fumes that were easily addicting and toxic. Exiting the building, he got back on his bike, started it up, and tore out of the parking lot as he followed his birdie friend towards downtown.

"What's he doing?"
I asked as we sat in Adam's car in the lot of the apartment buildings. Adam's car windows were fully tinted, so no one could even see us. Though I still worriedly ducked as Markus went to his motorcycle.
"He's leaving. Which means we can sneak in."
My heart raced with worry, which was a routine these days, as Adam got out of the car the second  Markus's bike was out of sight.
After fighting the urge to grab Adam's keys and drive myself home, I stayed in the car and watched as Adam walked up before looking back at me with a amused ex
pression before waving his hand for me to follow. Gosh, I told him I wanted to stay in the car. With a roll of my eyes, I got out of the car, anxiously looking around as if Markus was still here.
"I told you I'd stay in the car."
"Markus is gone, you won't get caught. Besides, you know where to go - I don't."
I sighed, irritation replacing the anxiety, before leading Adam to the door I had walked in just yesterday.
Adam picked the lock easily and before I knew it, the door opened. I swallowed nervously as Adam already walked in and started looking around.
"Be careful, Adam. Everything's in a certain place. If he notices..."
We both didn't want to end the sentence.
And with that, we carefully explored the rooms.

[[ Markus is going hunting, and I don't really want to roleplay that. It is very bloody and I don't think the moderators will appreciate that. ^^; ]]

[[I see, I see. ]]

"Nothing... Nothing... Nothing..."
I heard Adam mumble every couple minutes as we looked around the apartment.
"I told you this. There is absolutely nothing."
I said as I walked back to him in the kitchen.
"There is something. We just can't seem to find it. How about we go before he gets back."
I nodded my head, agreeing, and as he walked out the door, I was about to do the same. Until I remembered something.
It was risky, but I remembered something when I came here last time. Markus offered me a bottle of water. But he drank something that I couldn't tell the substance of, because of the bottle. As I turned to the door again, thinking I was crazy, my curiosity got the better of me as I walked back to the fridge and quickly opened it. The familiar bottles were there, and I quickly grabbed one, stuck it in my bag, and ran out the door to Adam.

[[Ahhh. Sorry it's a lame reason for her to take it. It was the quickest way to type it. D: ]]

[[ It be fine. And I shall timeskip forward so Markus is done with his hunt. ]]

Markus licked his lips as he rode his bike back to his apartment. He had found a nice meal and was all full. The thirst held back and the hunger kept at bay. At least until he felt like he needed to feed again. Which he hopped would be in a week at least. Though, he shrugged one shoulder and pulled into the parking lot. Dusk had fallen and the setting sun gave Markus a reminder to light an incense for the Olympians before he went to bed for the night.

Quickly parking and vaulting off the bike, Markus turned the machine off before bounding up the stairs to get to his apartment. Unlocking the door, he entered his "domain" and quickly closed the wooden slab behind him before walking to the small alcove that doubled as a shrine. Gently pulling out a few of the sweet-smelling sticks, he lit them up before placing them inside a small glass container that caused the sticks to fan out; sending their sweet scent across the twelve Gods and Goddesses of Olympus. Not having anything to pray for, Markus headed off to his room where he stripped down to his boxers before crawling in under the dark covers on the bed.

Riiva cooed softly as she lit down on the pillow next to his head. Her white beak gently tapped the Fleur de Lis brand on his shoulder blade before she tucked her head under a wing to join her vampiric friend in sleep.

Adam dropped me off at his house, and as I walked through the doors of my home, I remembered that my dad was coming home tomorrow. The thought brought no comfort, even though I was feeling lonely all by myself.
That thought reminded me of Markus. More importantly, the bottle.
Goodness, I felt silly for even thinking something was in it that was suspicious. It could be the Kool - Aid Markus said was in his fridge, or maybe a protein shake. What could this even show about him, anyways?
I went to the kitchen and got myself a glass. With my hands shaking, I eagerly opened the bottle and poured it in.
I stopped just as maybe a quarter of the glass was filled, confused. I wasn't stupid enough to actually drink it, but I couldn't help but not throw it away. It looked weird. I wouldn't let myself believe it looked like blood.
I told myself he put red dye in the water, but that was doubtful. I felt sick as I kept the rest in the bottle, cleaned the glass out thoroughly, and brought the rest of the bottle to my room.
I don't know what I'd do with it, but I thought throwing it away would just be wrong.
The rest of the night, that sick feeling was still in my stomach. I didn't even sleep. Because, whether I liked it or not, the substance in that bottle was definitely blood.

When morning came, Markus felt considerably better. His foul mood had lifted. But he didn't feel like heading off to school just yet. The vampire, instead, prayed at the small shrine for something... Anything interesting to happen today. When he was done, he snatched up his backpack and jacket from where he dropped it the night before. Running a white hand through his wet, silvery hair, Markus exited the building and started his bike as he drove off towards the school.

"Hey. Crazy day, yesterday, huh? I wonder if he noticed anything..."
Adam ranted on by my locker. I had brought him over to tell him about the bottle, and what I knew was inside it, but then I realized that this should be something I figure out on my own. I didn't know blood was going to be involved with this mystery, and if Adam found out...
He'd never let it go.
So, instead, I told  Adam that I wasn't done with working with him to figure out Markus. Even though I planned on only getting the information I needed about the bottle before I ditched Adam again.
After grabbing my books for first class, I interrupted the babbling Adam,
"Yeah. It was great. Anyways, I gotta go."
Adam trudged on to the office, I guessed that was the usual from now on, as I walked to my first class.
Anxious to talk to Markus, get something out of him, yet terrified to even think of him.

Markus slipped through school with his usual predator graced. Both hands were slipped into his pants pockets and he ignored the lustful stares of the entire female population in the school since he only wanted one. The vampire entered the English class and slipped to the back to take his seat.

The second Markus walked into the classroom, my stomach dropped. I wished I could find a rock, and hide under it for one hundred years.
Maybe, I'd come out with a solution to solve Markus's, Adam's and my own confusion and problems.
Seeing as we still had five minutes until class started, I had to get this done now. I got up from my seat, still feeling sick at what I saw last night, before walking over to Markus.
"Hey. Feeling better today?"

Markus gazed up at Paradise when he heard her question. Nodding once, he let his lips curve into a soft smile. "Yes. I am," he said. Fresh, human blood was the something that made him feel better. So did vampiric blood, but he didn't sense any other vampires in the city.

"That's good."
At least one of us is feeling better.
I thought to myself before my face flushed from just thinking about last night. I swallowed and put on a smile before saying,
"I better get back to my seat before Mr. King comes in."
And with a sigh to control my stomach, I went back to my seat, just as Mr. King came in to start the class.

Markus frowned slightly when he saw the blush on her face. He had wanted to ask her if she was alright, but she had already moved back to her own desk as soon as Mr. King came in. His brows furrowed together in confusion. If only slightly.

[ I'll time skip. ;D ]

When the bell rang signaling lunch, I didn't know whether to feel relieved or terrified. So I chose to feel both as I walked down to the cafeteria. Once there, I made sure to get in line before other students came down, I bought my lunch and went to an empty table. I needed time to think, but I also needed to talk to Markus.
Not just talk. I needed answers from him.
