The air knocked out of him as Adam fell to the ground, feeling Markus's hand around his neck. Okay, maybe wanting to tackle him was a stupid move. Maybe coming here at all was a stupid move. But he wouldn't let himself give up, not when Markus got him on the ground. Trying to peel Markus's fingers off of his neck, he said, "You're still... A load of talk..."

Markus managed to crack a grin. "Still think that?" the vampire asked as he tightened his grip around Adam's neck. "Times change, I guess. I still miss when mortals chased me with swords." He chuckled to himself at the memory. Oh, such good times. Then, he shifted his hand slightly and tilted up Adam's chin as he started to focus on the pulsing artery in the other's neck. His crimson eyes glowed brightly as he leaned in closer, his jaw opening wide as his fangs revealed themselves.

Seeing as he wasn't in the most rational state of mind, and was too busy worrying about his life, he ignored what Markus had been saying. His eyes were closed until he felt Markus's finger tip his chin upwards. The second he saw those now - familiar fangs, he new he wasn't imagining things. As he leaned down, Adam went ballistic, squirming as much as he could to get out of his grip as he shrieked, "Don't hurt me... Get off me... Don't hurt me! I'll - I'll d-do what e-ever you w-want..." As pitiful tears streamed down his face.

Markus stopped, his fangs brushing against the soft, vulnerable skin on Adam's neck. Did he hear the mortal right? Whatever he wanted? Hm... The vampire saw a few things come to mind. "Whatever I want? Well, let me list them for you. One, I want my journal back. Two, stop obsessing about me. Three, leave Paradise alone. And Four, I never want to see your face again," he said, his voice becoming even more snarly as he spoke.
As Markus waited for Adam to respond to that, he smirked. "But first, I want to give you a little... something." Without warning, Markus struck. His fangs sinking deep withing the soft skin of Adam's neck.

Again, Adam didn't care much about what Markus spoke. He just wanted to get out of the situation, and would do anything to have that. "Okay, okay... J - just let me g - go now." He kept repeating as Markus spoke. And, just when he thought he got out of it, without warning, Markus did exactly what Adam was trying to get out of. The tears from before only came harder, as the seething pain from his neck never appeased. Unintelligible words came out of his mouth, pleading for him to stop.
[[Lalala~ Fail. Never really played the human that gets bitten, except for once. I failed for that too. :D ]]

Once Markus had taken several long draughts of Adam's oxygen rich blood, he finally pulled free with some hesitation. Licking his lips, then his fangs, Markus gazed down at Adam. The smell of the mortal boy's blood lured him back to the soft skin. But his tongue only flicked out to catch any blood that leaked from the four puncture marks. Then, he pushed himself up and was gone like the wind.

Adam didn't answer any of my calls last night, which was why I looked like I rolled out of bed with no sleep. Which was exactly what happened. As I sat in my first period classroom, I watched as Adam talked to his other friends before class started. Apparently, he got out of suspension. I tried talking to him when he was at his locker, but the second he saw me he scurried away. I was afraid it was because of my less - appealing appearance. Was it really that bad? Ever since then, I've been trying to get his attention discreetly. Any time out eyes met, he quickly looked away. I sighed, irritated before looking down at the book in my hands.

Markus came into school. Late. Again. This was becoming a habit for him. He didn't want to come, but he was forced too. Stupid older brother. With a masked growl, Markus headed towards his first period class and sat down in one of the back desks.

As Markus sat down, I hesitantly got up and sat in a seat next to him. After glancing one more time at Adam, I looked back at Markus, "Hey, you were with Adam last night, right? He said you guys were... Just hanging out." I couldn't possibly tell Markus what Adam had really told me. "He's acting really weird. Do you know what's up?"

Markus glanced up when he heard Paradise's voice. Listening to what she said, the vampire cocked his head to one side. "No," he said simply. Which was a lie. He knew, he just didn't want to spill and risk Paradise not liking him because of the bloodsucking monster he was.

Markus shook his head. Some of the silvery strands falling into his dull crimson eyes. "No. And no," he replied. Adam hadn't mentioned her, but Markus told him to leave Paradise alone. Looks like it was working. Now he just needed to get his journal back...

I frowned and watched Adam another moment. Our eyes met again, but this time, his were filled with worried as he looked to Markus next to me. I followed his eyes and looked back at Markus, then at Adam again as Adam's eyes stayed on Markus's. "I guess I should just... Go." I whispered, not quite happy that Markus was no help. I sat back in my seat and looked up to see Adam's eyes still not wavering from Markus's before the teacher walked in, interrupting Adam's daze as he turned around and sat down. Now, what was up with that?

Markus inclined his head slightly when he heard that she was going to go back to her own desk. Once she left, he could feel Adam's gaze burn into him. But he did not look at the mortal. When the teacher came in, the burning feeling vanished and Markus murmured something under his breath. The words were unintelligible and in his own native tongue.
