Markus frowned. Could he? Nope. He couldn't have. But to make Paradise feel a bit better, he shrugged one shoulder. "Maybe," he said as he removed his hand from the bridge of his nose to it rested lightly on Paradise's shoulder. His thumb was close enough to her, that he ended up rubbing the pad of it against her jawline.

For a wonderful fleeting moment, I completely forgot about our conversation. It seems like just yesterday I was frightened by those eyes, but now completely drowning in them; ignoring the shivers down my spine at his touch... What was I thinking?
I gulped, and gently grabbed his hand and took it off my shoulder. "Y-yeah. Maybe."
I said, all of a sudden feeling sheepish.
"I'll see you later."
I said, before smiling at him once more and turning to leave the classroom.

Markus smirked slightly when she walked out of the classroom. He could tell she liked it by the way her eyes glazed over with the pleasure from it. Lowering his arm, the vampire let out a little chuckle, and followed at a slower pace to their next class.

I walked passed the crowded hallway as the eagerly students led to the cafeteria. Finally it was lunch, and I could breathe - somewhat, with this hustle and bustle. I found the seat that I had sat at yesterday after buying myself a lunch. I took a bite of the ham sandwich while leaning one of my elbows on the table, my head in my hand.

Lunch.
Markus sighed and stopped in front of a set of windows that let in some light from the outside world. Glancing out them, the sense of... wrongness increased. The vampire hissed slightly, pulling up his upper lip as his fangs elongated slightly. The wrongness changed into the sense of being watched. Markus growled and narrowed his crimson eyes.
Something was wrong.
Very, very wrong.

After finishing my sandwich, I grabbed my trash and threw it away in the trashcan close by. My eyes met Adam's once more as he sat with his friends. He quickly tore his away and I once again was left alone in my confusion. I sat back down in my seat, taking out the book from before. It was always nice to run away from this reality, right? Anything to get out of this mess for a little while.

Markus watched the world through the window. Or what part of the world he could see. From there, he could only see the roof of the school if he was looking up. But he had the distinct sense somebody was up there, watching him. He growled, eyes flashing, before he stalked off towards the cafeteria. His lips folded back over his fangs as the sharper teeth retracted.

I couldn't help but wonder where Markus was, usually he was in the cafeteria before I was. That was my excuse to glance up at the cafeteria doors once in a while during my reading, to see if he'd show up. I bit back a smile when he finally came through the doors, though I kept my eyes averted. He still could be in that mood.

Markus paused slightly once he was through the cafeteria doors. Scanning the room, he spotted Paradise. He started to walk over to her, but faltered slightly. Regaining his composer, he slid up to one of the empty chairs as he noticed that she held a book in her hands. "Any good?" he asked, motioning towards the book.

I jumped, hearing Markus's voice just when I was about to try concentrating on the words on the page. It didn't work, anyways. "Oh... Yeah. Kind of. I haven't read much of it." I shrugged closing it and keeping it in my lap before looking back at him. "Feeling any better?"

I said softly, before biting my lip in thought. Something's gotta be going on, something he couldn't tell me. I doubted Adam was apart of it, seeing as he wasn't even in Markus's life - it seemed - anymore. The thought of Adam only brought back the confusion about the other night. With a sigh, I rubbed my temple. I really just had to let things go sometimes.
"So... Uh,"
How was I to ask without it seeming like I was snooping?
"Are you always able to sense when something's going to go wrong?"
I sounded like an idiot. No one can 'sense' stuff like that. But, hey, at least I wasn't at a dead end.

I looked up at him, contemplating at what he said. Mostly because it didn't make any sense. At least he didn't flat out say that it was just the normal feeling, it would give me that 'dead end' I was worried about. "Oh... So you're able to know those kinds of things?" Again, if I was talking to any normal person, I would feel like a total idiot talking about something like this. But, it was like since I knew he was different, this certain conversation topic didn't matter.
