Adam should attempt to get revenge. :3

Markus wasn't surprised by this. No, wait... Actually he was. Expulsion? He thought that was a little extreme considering that he was the one that attacked Adam. Back when he was a kid, if two students were caught fighting, both were whipped. And that was supposed to make them a little tougher while teaching them a lesson at the same time. Secretly, Markus was glad that hadn't carried over to this day and age. A lot of parents would be suing the school.
Slightly startled by Mr. King, Markus offered the teacher an apologetic smile before moving to an empty seat a few desks away from Paradise. He set his backpack on the ground next to his chair.

I noticed throughout the rest of my classes that my class was much more pleasant without Adam. They behaved a little better. Didn't say perverted or immature remarks if they heard something that could be used in different context. They actually acted like seniors, for once. Maybe it wasn't so bad, with out Adam. But I still felt bad that the only friends Adam had, were talking bad about him while he chilled at the principle's office doing work. I was tempted to buy him lunch again, just as an excuse to show him at least someone wasn't talking bad about him. I didn't talk to Markus much through out the day today, and I kept telling myself that was a good thing. His influence was nothing but a bad one. I turned the door knob to the library, but the library was locked. A look of horror spread across my face. Where was I to go, if they were keeping the library locked? I looked toward the cafeteria route, and gulped. I had refused to go eat down there since the first day I've been here. The first time I did, it wasn't the most funnest experience. No, I went home early. Crying.
Of course, that was just because I fell. Adam purposely tripped me, I hurt myself, everyone was laughing... Hmph. That memory will help remind me not to bring him lunch anymore. Unless I was going to throw it in his face. After one hesitant step, I finally told myself to 'suck it up' before walking into the smelly, crowded, loud cafeteria. Praying that I wouldn't embarrass myself this time.

The classes had passed in an uneventful blur. Markus had spent most of his time writing more things in his journal. He continued using the Greek letters as he wrote about the different people in his classes or the subjects they talked about in class -- which ranged from all sorts of different things. When lunch rolled around, he had stuffed the journal back into the backpack before sling one strap over his shoulder as he walked down to the cafeteria.
He did have money just to get miscellaneous foodstuff again... But he wasn't really hungry since he fed last night. Markus usually reserved mortal food as a last resort to stave off the thirst and hunger until he found time to hunt. So, instead of getting in line, Markus found an empty table where he could sit before pulling the journal back out to continue writing in it.

[[ Can Adam somehow take the journal? ]]
The second I got in line, I was slightly pushed so that a couple kids could bump in front of me. "Uh..." I said, slightly confused. Was this just the normal thing to do? Where was the politeness and manners at this school? "Alright..." I mumbled, choosing to wait longer in line then saying for the other students to move. Maybe I really was just a push over. Finally, when I bought my food, I carefully (As to not 'trip' again.) searched for an empty table, or at least one that wasn't crowded. As I walked around the crowd, the only table I saw that seemed open to me was one just a couple feet away. With only Markus there. I sighed, irritation all over my ex pression. Really? Wasn't I trying to stay away from him? Well, I wasn't just going to stand in everyone's way, so I walked slowly over to the table where he was sitting - protests running all through my mind. "H-hey." I said, getting his attention from whatever he was writing. "Can I sit here?"

Sounds fine with me. :D

Markus paused in his writing to look up at the person who spoke to him in a hesitant voice. He blinked once. Twice. Paradise? He let his fangs slide out before biting into his tongue to make sure he hadn't fallen asleep. Almost instantly, small tears appeared in the corners of his eyes as he moved his free hand to cover his mouth as he opened it slightly while his fangs retracted.
"Of course," he said, wearily.

For the longest time, I thought he was trying to figure out a nice way of saying 'no'. I even took a step back, about to say that he didn't have to worry about it. But, finally, he said yes. I smiled, relieved, before setting down my tray across from him. "Thanks." I said quietly, before sitting down. My eyes went down to the note book, and I looked back up at him. "What's that?" I guess Markus and I changed positions for a moment, because this time I was the one to bl ink in surprise. Had I just asked that? I was never one to pry. "Sorry. That's none of my business..." I said, my face turning a light shade of red.

Markus glanced back at the journal. He had stopped writing mid sentence and forgot what he was going to say. So far, he had written random things in all his classes, but this one was different. "The journal is for personal things. But, this -" he tapped the page with the end of the pen that wouldn't leave a mark "- will be letter to parents," he said, smiling slightly as he remembered them. They were always so loving and he missed them dearly.

His talk of his parents, caught me off guard. If I had heard him correctly, he was writing to his parents. "Where are your parents?" I asked, 'putting two and two' together and thinking that his parents aren't around where he lives. Great. Something else not to like. He lives by himself. Who knows what he does with that freedom?

Markus lowered his head slightly, hiding his eyes with his hair. "Long dead," he murmured. "Hades bless their souls to Elysium. Curse Tartarus if they are there. The Asphodel Meadows would suit them as well." His parents did deserve happiness; even in death. Even if he was tainted, he wanted to see them happy.

"...Oh." I said, feeling awkward. If he showed any kind of emotion before I had asked, I may have been smart not to have opened my mouth. "I'm sorry." I added a little more sympathetic. I was going to be logical, and ask him what he meant if he was going to write to his dead parents, but I chose to be a little more compassionate and less... Adam, to be literal. "When did that happen?" I asked, my lips forming a frown. Death was one of those things that really ruined the air in a room, but I couldn't help but ask.

Markus shook his head. He didn't want to answer that question. And besides, what was he going to say? It happened two millenia ago? She wouldn't believe that. He closed his eyes slightly, but that was all it took for a single tear to run down his cheek to drip off his jawline. Markus was startled by it since it was ages since he last cried. Or shed tears for anything. In fact, he remember the last time he showed physical grief; when his maker had been killed. Using the back of his hand, he wiped away the tear track and the remnants on his jaw.

Oh, I really did it. I was the one who hated opening her mouth, but when I did, I made a guy cry? Now my frown was more for my stupid way of asking. "I'm so sorry." I said, not stopping myself or thinking if it was rational as I reached over the table and grabbed his hand, comfortingly. Gosh, that was just making it worse. I quickly took my hand back, not knowing what else to say on such a topic.

He watched as she gently took his hand with her own. Gently, human contact. It also felt comforting. It was something that was missing from his life. Comfort. But when she withdrew her hand, his followed and he tightened his fingers as his thumb caressed her knuckles. "Your skin is so soft," he murmured as he pulled her hand back to him before raising it off the table as he placed a small kiss on the inside of his wrist. Though, "kiss" is a little extreme. He just brushed his lips against her skin; a soft graze as he inhaled her unique scent.

A gasp escaped my lips as he pulled my hand back. I didn't understand what was going on but... Did I like it? I swallowed nervously, confused about the situation and what I was feeling. I couldn't be liking it, right? That would just ruin the time I had been using to avoid him. "Markus...?" I whispered, mostly just to get his attention, as I gently tugged my hand back. No, I couldn't like it. Liking the feeling of a guy 'holding your hand' was just a childish thing, I was better then that.

Markus hadn't heard her. His eyes were closed and his thoughts swam with her. Just her. Though, he felt the tugging of the hand and held fast; not wanting to let go. Just wanting to inhale her scent more until he was drunk from it.

"M-Markus?" I said, a little louder with a more worried tone. What was wrong with him? Or, better yet, what was so amazing about my wrist? "Markus, let go." I said more calmly, looking around to see if people were noticing the odd situation. It was definitely odd.
As I was looking around, I saw Adam walk downstairs. So the principle had let him get some food? When he looked around, it was like he was purposely looking for either Markus or myself because the second he saw us, his eyes stayed. He stared at the interaction - what Markus was doing - and immediately looked frightened, like smelling my wrist was going to some how turn out bad. His eyes never left the scene as he ran forward, and came to Markus's side. "Paradise, don't let him..." I didn't hear the rest of his rant, but his tone was intense, like this was serious. And, Adam was never serious. Adam grabbed my wrist and grabbed Markus's and tried unwrapping Markus's fingers. What was the big deal? "What were you going to do? Show her what your teeth can do?" He said, his voice shaking in fear as he yelled at Markus. I chose not to say a word, mostly because I was more confused then any of us.

Adam's voice had cut through him. Then, he felt his fingers being pried from Paradise's hand. His crimson eyes snapped open as he narrowed them into a fierce glare. "Teeth?" he asked. "You mean these?" Markus bared his teeth in a smile that showed no hint of fang. Though, he smelled fear rolling off the younger male and it made his smile broader as his eyes glinted. The Greek slowly stood, lowering his hand to help ease himself off the chair with a predatory grace.
He had already fed, but another human wouldn't hurt.

I wanted to say something. Anything to keep both boys from getting in trouble. But, I couldn't get in the middle. They were both being irrational right now, and me in the middle wouldn't work out well. I could easily see any one of them snapping me like a twig. Adam swallowed nervously. "No... I know what I saw..." He said, still thinking about the teeth. When Markus stood up, all color failed to be in Adam's face. Speechless. Like myself. I could hear some students seeing the action and listening intently, but, for the most part, the cafeteria still was busy with the hustle and bustle of the students. "Guys, don't be stupid."
I said through clenched teeth as I looked around, looking for any staff to help. There was none. What kind of school doesn't have teachers close by to watch the students during lunch?
