Sumnor leaned his neck to either side, causing it to click loud, alarmingly loud for anyone who was close to him, but normal for his old bones, "I'm not wearing my own blood, just others" Sumnor chuckled at that remark, before bending and starting a fire with little effort, a spell he had learned as a child, a fire with no wood or fuel, only vampiric energies, "Well it's a good thing you're not injured, I have no medicine with me and I won't be binging you to a city for a few nights... we need to avoid big cities."

"What is this? Am I a walking billboard for free hugs?" Sumnor laughed one again, sitting on his bag, Jesus, you're not grateful for anything are you little one? it's a shirt, the only one I could find that would remind me of your name.  Sumnor watched carefully, seeing if that could gauge a reaction, And besides, we'll change when we can... I'm not too big on skulls, prefer my plain black look, like my hair... I saw you noticed my eyes, you like them? Sumnor smiled a manicale smile, having fun with the girl already.

"by the way, I am so not changing right here. No in front of you, or out in the open where some random person could walk up to me in the middle of anything." Listen, my mind works in one way, only be interested in the one you are involved with, and I am guess you wouldn't want to be involved with me, so I am not interested in you, therefore I will take no joy from watching you dress... nobody ventures this far out of town, so shut up complaining and change.

Toying with the seam of the shirt, Alix stilled. I have to stay out here? Alone with him? Eying Sumnor with a new suspicion, she slowly walked to a natural wall of brush and trees. Her black tennies were silent on the gra.ss but she missed her converse. They were much more colorful with her favorite lyrics written all over them in different colored sharpies. The thought of her converse brought to mind her beaded bracelets; all expressive and unique. I wish I could go to my house and grab a bag of stuff, but Alix knew that missing a few of personal items wasn't the end of the world. She would last.

Hardly listening anymore, Alix perked up when he said that the shirt was a reminder for him so that he wouldn't forget her name. "Am I supposed to call you Skull then, cause I don't see your name on a shirt," she murmured before she could stop herself. "As for your eyes, they are kind of freaky but I do like them." It was the truth too. Alix was fascinated with the bright, shifting reds in his eyes. It seemed as if every time she looked she would find a new color that was too brilliant to be called red.

Then, right when she didn't think it could get any more awkward for her, Sumnor bluntly said something about how his mind works, but all Alix could hear was, "So I am not interested in you, therefore I will take no joy from watching you dress." Clenching her jaw as her gaze turned murderous, Alix wondered why that simple comment hurt. It only hurt a little, she told herself. Her lower lip pouted as she continued to stare at Sumnor, gripping the cloths so tightly she knew she might rip them if she was not careful.

Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, Alix cooled her edgy nerves. Her sapphire eyes were cold and calculating when she opened them again. With a sharp stare, Alix lifted her chin, turned on her heels, and walked away calling over her shoulder, "If no one ventures out this far, I don't even have to change, but it will be nice getting into clean cloths."

Slipping through the trees, Alix wandered not too far into the forest to change. Sliping out of her pants, Alix pulled on the new ones without even unbuttoning them. A close fit, I'm surprised. Dropping the leather jacket Sumnor had given her on the ground, Alix yanked off her long sleeve shirt and pulled the new one on swiftly. Pausing as she pulled the long sleeves down around her wrists, Alix ran her fingers along the sensitive skin. Don't think about the past, she told herself. Curling her fingers around the edge of the sleeve, Alix sighed. Life was so complicated. "But that's what keeps it fun," she sarcastically mumbled. "Guess I shouldn't keep Sir Arrogent waiting too long. He might take a piece of my hid already for being so ornery."

Turning around, Alix jogged back to the spot where they had stopped. She made sure she bumped into him, just to see if he would fall off the backpack. "So, who are these 'Old Ones' I've been hearing about?" She asked, as she gracefully collapsed to the ground and lounged there like some regal lioness.

Her throat was already dry again, but she wouldn't say anything about being thirsty. I still don't want to know what was in the vile. But the taste lingered, and Alix savored the taste. Tapping her fingers on her upraised knee, Alix thought aloud, "You are an old one, and you sure act like it. All proud and expecting." Stop it Alix, you are so stupid some times. Baiting him like this, gah! But Alix knew she couldn't help it. It was how she got others to attack her first, and she always won when she hit second. It was her nature.

Sumnor remained seated, scratching his chin and head were his only movements as he calculated the impact the words which his tongue had just seemingnly uttered could have. They were lies of course, he was interested in her, but there was no way he could have said it straight out, he would have to show it in some way.

"Am I supposed to call you Skull then, cause I don't see your name on a shirt," Sumnor smiled slightly, enjoying the bait this one continued to lay for him, liking the cat and mouse game she played without seeming to mean it. "I'm sure Sumnor's an easy enough name to remember, I've never forgot it anyway" "As for your eyes, they are kind of freaky but I do like them." Sumnor laughed slightly, "Hm, freaky, heard that one before, glad to know you like them though."

"If no one ventures out this far, I don't even have to change, but it will be nice getting into clean cloths.Sumnor licked his front teeth, tired, a bitter taste in his mouth, probably from the flitting, it always left a nasty taste on his teeth and in the roof of his mouth. "A change in clothes is always good."

"So, who are these 'Old Ones' I've been hearing about?" As she collapsed, Sumnor stood,w alking to the point where he could smell her scent the most, picking his leather jacket up and dusting it off before putting it on. He walked back and sat back on the backpack, leaning close to Alix, "They're the original, only pure breed race of vampries. And what I said about not being interested? yeah, you believed a lie." He leant in and kissed her before sitting back to gauge her raction.

OoC: Sorry about the wait. I got distracted with my cousins after the horse ride. ::smiles sheepishly:: I hope the wait wasn't too long.

BiC

Giving Sumnor a droll stare, Alix thought, yeah but my name starts with an A which makes it five times easier to remember than some random letter. Though, she knew her logic was a lot different than others, at times. When it came to memory, Alix was a space cadet. She was lucky if she could remember where she set for cell phone down or where her keys were. Yet the order of things in her room was important enough that she would notice if a single bobby-pin was moved, and she could memorize numbers after saying them aloud once.

Lounging on the soft, dew-damp gra.ss Alix watched as Sumnor licked his teeth in a slightly threatening display. The sun had set some time when she had gone to change, and in the darkness of night, Alix realized just how alone she was with this stranger. I know nothing about him. Shivering from the thought and from the cold, Alix rubbed her arms in an attempt to get warm. Too bad becoming a vampire is so cold. I've never shivered so much in my entire life. Though, that was for completely different reasons.

As he spoke of the Original Ones, Alix became fascinated. Vampires didn't come from humans all along? I'm only a half-breed? Nibbling on her lower lip as she thought, Alix was about to ask how they, the Original Ones, came to be. But Sumnor surprised her with a swift change of subject.

"And what I said about not being interested? Yeah, you believed in a lie," he stated in that deep, smug voice of his, just before kissing her.

Light and teasing, the kiss was done before Alix could even bl
ink. Her sapphire eyes were wide and staring as she sat there unbelieving. For the moment. Since it only took about two seconds before Alix's cheeks flushed a bright red, and her brain finally started working again. Her eyes flashed with violence a moment before she growled, truly growled, and grabbed Sumnor by his shirt front. Her gaze was murderous as she whispered through clenched teeth, "Don't ever try that again." Giving him a jerk before releasing him, Alix straightened to her full height and glowered down at Sumnor.

"You told me to take to heart all that you said, whether it was the truth or a lie." Her brows still pinched in a scowl, Alix flared her nostrils as her hunger raged through her again. With a frustrated snap of her teeth, she felt her canines bite into her lower lip. Clenching her fists, Alix stalked a few paces away from Sumnor.

Why does he make my emotions go haywire? she wondered because this display of temper was foreign to her. Alix hardly ever lost control like this. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath, and pressed her tight fists to her temples. If there was a mirror around, Alix knew that she would look like a wild animal about to attack. Her eyes would be an ebony as dark as space. Her temper was quickly fading as her breathing became more controlled, but the moment she looked at Sumnor Alix drew in a ragged breath.

I can't do this, she thought. Shaking her head, Alix stared straight into Sumnor's fiery red eyes. "I can't do this," Alix repeated aloud. Pointing at him when her body demand she go and rip him to pieces, she whispered, "You, stay away from me."

With that she turned on her heels and stalked into the forest. Easily finding the natural paths, Alix wandered deep into the comforting presence of nature. But something isn't right, her instincts told her. Ignoring it since she thought it had to do with leaving Sumnor, Alix trudged on. She left no broken branches or foot prints, a nifty trick she had learned as a child.

A natural clearing appeared, much like the one she and Sumnor had been sitting in, but she didn't even hesitate as she entered it; a huge mistake, which she knew better than most. After two steps in Alix knew there was trouble. No creatures of the night were making noise and the scent was different here, but it was too late.

Spinning around, Alix came face to face with a guard. He must have been watching Sumnor and me, and he was smart enough not to take us both on at the same time. Cursing herself a fool, Alix instinctively reached for her dagger but quickly remembered it had been taken when she had been kidnapped. The man advanced as she lost time reaching for something that wasn't there.

Alix quickly fell into her defensive kicks, punches, and blocks. It had been drilled into her mind and muscles since she could walk to fight. So it wasn't too hard, and she gave a wicked smirk when she gained the advantage. Pushing at the taller man's joints and gravity centers, Alix off balanced him enough that she was offensively fighting when he drew a gun. This time she didn't even hesitate as she ducked and went for pressure points, but she wasn't quick enough. The butt of the gun hit her hard enough in the temple that she fell to the ground. Dazed and slightly confused, Alix gasped when a steel-toed boot kicked her in the gut. Rolling with the kick to lessen the blow, she knew that she really was a fool. I've never lost before, why is he winning?

A rough hand grasped her braid, and Alix whimpered; hating herself for the show of weakness but hair pulling was not fair. Licking her lips, she watched as the man, with eyes similar to Sumnor, changed the charge of the gun. An interesting dart replaced the bullet, and Alix knew that she was going to be drugged. Not good! Doing the only thing she could think of, Alix kneed the man in the groin and fought like a hellion, as she cried out, "Pegagnyx! I need you!"

No sooner had she called out for help did the man pull the trigger. The sting told her the dart hit home on her right shoulder. Her sight grew fuzzy gray as black edged her vision. Wow, this stuff works fast, she thought. Falling to her knees, Alix blinked as her entire body seemed to stop functioning properly. Her eyes rolled back as she slid into unconsciousness.

Sumnor heard her delicate tones callout as he was sat there pondering. Before she had called, he was worried, worried he wouldn't be able to be any more thn a amster to her, the reason he had rescued her was minly to train her in the ways of the vampire, but now he wanted more, so much more that it actually worried him, he had never been interesting in anyone this much.

But the call had awoken him from his senses,  "Pegagnyx! I need you!" He went into instant flit, shooting through the woods like a bullet through papaer, not making a sound, as he ahd alwayss been able to do, his vampiric blood lightening him up a lot. Dashing from path to path, hopping from tree to tree in order to clear small gaps, he appeared behind the guard within seconds of the call, only too late, as Alix had already been drugged.

Standing to his full height behind the guard, he controlled his breathing and synced it in with the guard's, in an attempt to make it so he didn't realise he was there, in the end losing his rag, being irritated already that his student and person of interest had been beaten and then drugged, "Peek-a-boo."  As the guard turned, Sumnor threw a heavy punch into his gut and suck his teeth into the blood filled veins of his neck, draining the guard half-way to dry.

Acting quickly, Sumnor took out a canteen, before emptying it's content on the floor. "God Alix.... what you get yourself into."  He placed the rim of the bottle by the gaping wound in the man's throat, allowing the blood to pur from it and into the bottle. Screwing the lid back onto the blood-filled canteen, he picked Alix up carefully, before flitting a great distance to another forest where the guard's couldn't reach, stopping in a clearing and sitting in order to catch his breath once again, "God I hope you wake up soon..."

Sumnor walked over to the unconciouss girl, laying the canteen next to her, which had some blood on the side as well, hoping that the smell would bring her to her sences a lot quicker than she would have without it.

At first pain seemed to be every where, and Alix knew that if that was true she was in deep trouble. So she focused and tried to find the source of all the pain. As it turned out, there were only two spots of pain. One on the side of her head was throbbing horrendously, while her rib cage mildly ached. I must have gotten hit in the head pretty hard, she thought, and she inwardly winced. Gah, even thinking hurts.

Deciding to actually use her intelligence, Alix kept her breathing slow and even. Faking her sleep, she listened for anything that might help her determine her where-abouts. Since her last memory was of a guard coming for her, it could be bad. Though, at first she didn't hear anything except the buz of night creatures and the whisper of a breeze. Blood was in the air, but that could be her head injury, they seemed to bleed a lot. Then, in that deep voice, she heard Sumnor whisper, "God, I hope you wake up soon..."

Serves you right, she thought, but deep inside Alix knew that she was the one at fault. Not even bothering to open her eyes, Alix growled, "Don't you dare use the Lord's name in vain." Testingly, she lifted her hand to gently rub the tender bump on her head. "I might be damned, but I still love Him." When the gentle ma.ssage didn't hurt too badly Alix opened her eyes to give Sumnor a rare genuine grin before she teased, "That is, unless you were praying to Him for my safety."

Her ex
pression hardened when she turned her head and saw the canteen next to her. That must be all the blood I smell, she thought. Her stomach cramped in hunger, but Alix turned her head from it. Licking her lips, she wondered again where they were but doubted Sumnor would tell her. Wouldn't want to give me a clue as to where I can run next time.

Taking a slightly deep breath, Alix's eyes widened as horrible pain ripped through her. Glad that she was still lying down, she barely held her whimper in. Closing her eyes, Alix took in a small calming breath. "I think two of my ribs are cracked," she murmured softly. She knew that the only thing to do was wrap them tight and rest, but they didn't have time for her to rest. Not with those guards lurking after us, she thought bitterly. Though, I guess I could try harder to control my spontaneous emotions.

Sumnor sat as the first words where uttered from Alix's mouth, "Don't you dare take the lord's name in vain." He snarled slightly, kicking the ground slightly, Don't you dare tell me what to do, ever, I do not believe in false hope for the damned. we have nothing after life, neither does anyone, you need to realise that now and live life to it's fullest before it's too late and you're underground. Sumnor had gotten riled, he didn't mean to, and he didn't mean to say what he thought so bluntly, Sorry.... I just happen know that there's nothing after death, as I've felt it's embrace before...

He stood, smiling back at her, returning the grin, picking up the canteen and putting it to her lips, Drink it, it'll heal those cracked ribs of yours up in a flash, plus, you can't hide in the dark if you're not drinking what you need to, and where will a creature of the night hide if not in the dark? Sumnor smiled again, tipping the canteen slightly, pressing it closer to her lips.

Sumnor's eyes narrowed, he placed the canteen down in front of Alix, I'm going to need you.... drink this and get up... guards are here and I don't think they've come to greet us somehow...He turned slowly, his fingers running across the base of his katana's hilt, the touch excited the more savage part of his brain.

So I do believe you're here to say something to me? "I'm here to take you in... I'd prefer it if I could do it with both of you alive, but my superiors inform me this is impossible, is that true?" Sumnor smiled slightly, a murderous look in his crimson eyes, Unfortunately for you, yes, it is true, completely. His hand rose up and a fist smashed into the shoulder of the guard, sending him sprawling, That one was a warning, now I know i felt something break, and I know I can do a lot more than that, so back off now.

The guard took two steps back, before twisting his shoulder, the click was sickening, the shoulder sliding back into place, before he turned into a rather large, powerful looking lycan, Well.... this is going to be trickier than that other pup was...  The lycan leapt onto Sumnor, headbutting hard itno his shoulder, not breaking anything but drawing a large moan of pain, That.... was a mistake. Sumnor's clenched fist came down hard and fast, smashing into the top of the beast's skull, sending him temprarily sprawling again.

Sumnor stood, rubbing his shoulder which he knew would take a few days to heal completely, Alix... any time now...  The beat leapt at Sumnor once again, meeting only with boot as Sumnor's foot flew into its head, Nothing's working..! There was an obvious sense of urgency put across in his voice which the lycan picked up on, and before anything could be done the lycan leapt and pinned Sumnor down, only he wasn't fast enough to stop Sumnor sliding his katana over to Alix, in silent hope that she'd have drank the blood.

OoC: ::huggles beastly post from Reu:: ^.^ Yay~

Furious by Sumnor's curt reply, Alix wanted to punch him on the shoulder for being so disbelieving. She never could understand those who simply lived for no other reason than living, because to live for something so much better was much more satisfying for her. How can someone deny that feeling of completeness that comes with praise? she wondered. It just feels so right for me. Her sapphire eyes softened for the first time as she cooled her temper. Alix would never been a Bible-thumper, shoving the faithless words down another's throat until they choke and turn from the loving hand of God.

Looking down she felt odd, submitting wasn't one of her characteristics. Tracing pointless circles into ground were she sat Alix winced slightly. My ribs ache like nothing before, and Alix had plenty of beatings to compare the ache to. When Sumnor's bold shadow fell over her, she looked up and curled her lip in distaste. He nudged her lips with the canteen, but she firmly pressed them together. Refusing to drink.

"Drink it, it'll heal those cracked ribs of yours up in a flash, plus, you can't hide in the dark if you're not drinking what you need to, and where will a creature of the night hide if not in the dark?" His deep, smooth voice teased but Alix was stubborn. She would let him win with his beliefs, so he will just have to deal with hers. Although, he nudged her lips again, tipping the canteen slightly, but she held strong.

A dribble of blood curved the seam of her lips, but Alix clenched her teeth and refused to lick her lips. When Sumnor's eyes narrowed, she feared he might pry her mouth open, but he merely set the canteen down and seemed to listen for something. Closing her eyes, which had bleed to black again because of her hunger, Alix groaned softly. Her head was throbbing as her throat ached for just a sip. Just lick your lips, her mind whispered. Frustrated, she wiped her sleeve along her lips. Ever nerve in her body screamed at the waste, but Alix wouldn't do it.

Sumnor was talking about guards coming, and how he needed her at full strength. That he wanted her to drink the stuff. Someone died for that canteen that feeds him, she thought bitterly Silently she promised herself, I will not partake in any of it. Lifting the canteen to her lips, Alix fibbed a sip and slowly died inside when her body cried for a taste. What have I become? Stiffening when Sumnor slid his hand onto the hilt of his Katana, Alix went into high alert.

"I'm here to take you in... I'd prefer it if I could do it with both of you alive, but my superiors inform me this is impossible, is that true?" A guard emerged from the shadows of the trees, a deadly look in his eyes. Oddly enough, Alix felt safe though. Sumnor had easily protected her in the compound, yet this man seemed different from the others. Though, Alix couldn't figure out how.

With a sudden clash, the two males were at each others throats. When the guard shifted, his wolf form was much more powerful; a wolf in his prime. He was not some amateur like before. As Sumnor smashed into the wolf's shoulder, Alix grimaced. That has to hurt, yet he's just shrugging it off. Then the wolf went on attack, wildly swiping at Sumnor, and finally pinning him. Glowering, Alix curled her lip in a silent snarl as she crouched low and stalked behind the battling pair.

Pausing when Sumnor gave up his weapon, no experienced marksmen ever did that unless expecting death, Alix's grabbed it quickly and balanced it in her grip. Built for Sumnor, the blade was a bit long for her but she could manage. Slinking behind the distracted beast, Alix forgot all about her wounded side and her mind-numbing thirst. Instead, she focused in on her prey. Her fangs bit into her lower lip in anticipation, and a sadly familiar itch grew at the base of her neck, though that was something better forgotten.

Leveling the blade for attack, Alix knew that all this had happened within seconds, as she swung forward with practiced ease to sever the wolf's spine. Grabbing him by the scuff, Alix yanked him off of Sumnor and growled, "Talk. Or I will make you miserable."

Sumnor walked over to Alix, nodding in appreciation and smiling warmly, I may make a fighter out of you yet. Sumnor then took his katana back, wiping it off before sticking the end in the earth, and then he walked over and took a long ob
ject from his bag, and lifted the canteen, judging if any had gone out of it.

He walked over to Alix, handing the ob
ject to Alix, it was a katana he ahd forged not long before springing her from the prison, made perfectly for her build, the sheath pure black carbon steel with a solid gold trim, the greatest gift he had ever given, and he didn't know why he had done it, A gift... sturdy as any blade ever forged, unbreakable, I know it isn't much when you come up against guns, but once I teach you to flit you'll be ace with it.

His hand wrapped around the hilt of the katana that was his, before he slid it upwards gently, removing it from the ground without resistance, before he rammed it through the lower shin of the lycanthropic guard,  Ooh-ee, now I know that tore more than just muscle a bone, I think a few ligaments went then, tell me who you're working for!

A loud, ear-piercing howl was let loose at the katana tore throguh the leg, blood spurting out, "His name's Kobin! Daniel Kobin! Now just kill me, he's going to do it anyway..."

Her usual stubborn look was back in place as Alix cautiously watched the lycan and Sumnor. When he nodded in approval with a warm smile, she could have sworn butterflies took flight in her tummy, as her toes curled in her sneakers. After he said she might make a fighter yet, Alix wanted to laugh. "Buddy, I already am," she teased with a serious face but mischievous eyes. Dropping the wolf, since there was nothing he could do now, Alix grimaced as she stared wide eyed at the blood on her hands. Curling her lip as her stomach snarled Alix quickly rubbed her hands on her pants. Good thing these babies are black, she thought fleetingly.

Mesmerized by his fluid movements, Alix watched Sumnor shuffle through his pack. He took out something that she couldn't quite see and leaned over to pick up the canteen. Nervously licking her lips, Alix hoped he wouldn't comment on the weight of it. I should have spilled some on the ground or something, but he would have smelt that. With a mental shrug, she sighed. Nothing she could do now, and it's not like he was about to force feed her. He didn't seem like that type. Sumnor did seem like the type that would order you to do something and expect it done before he was gone, and if it wasn't, well then, be prepared for the consequences.

As Sumnor walked toward her, Alix felt her eyes widen and her mouth open in surprise. In Sumnor's hands was a katana, and it was slightly smaller than his. So Alix knew it must be for her. Forcing herself to stop gawcking, Alix gingerly took the sheath, pure black with a golden trim, and admired the word that had been done. It was wonderfully made. Grasping the hilt Alix knew her eyes shone with delight as her hand fit perfectly. Pulling the blade free she was again stuck by the wonderful craftsmanship.

"A gift... sturdy as any blade ever forged, unbreakable, I know it isn't much when you come up against guns, but once I teach you to flit you'll be ace with it." Sumnor said matter-of-factly.

Blinking up at him, tears swimming in her sapphire eyes, Alix didn't know what to say. This was the first thing anyone had ever given her without expectation of something in return. Alix had even prepared herself for the time when he would ask for the warmer cloths back, or something in exchange for them. Biting her lower lip gently, she nervously looked at her feet. Looking back up, she whispered, "Thank you. It's beautiful."

"Thank you. It's beautiful." Sumnor smiled, nodding again, not sure what to say, the guard lycan on the ground laughed loudly, "Oh my! two vampires have fallen for eachother! Now this is ironic, Kobin's going to enjoy making you two howl!" A dark figure appeared at the feet of the lycan, "Bad choice of words, pup." Sumnor's head shot around, smiling when he saw who the figure was.

Sumnor was about to greet the man, only to stop when he saw the man's katana run through one eye of the lycan, "Always one for elegance, eh Dryac?" "Oh, and you know it my old friend."  Sumnor laughed, warpping his hand around the forearm of Dryac, close to the shoulder, Dryac doing the same thing in return to Sumnor.

Sumnor turned back to Alix, "This is my friend, Dryac, he is pure lycan, purer than any lycan you will have the pleasure to meet or kill... he was one of the original, born on exactly the same day as me, however many centuries ago that was, I think I've lost count, something over 24,000 years."

Dryac walked over to Alix, nodding to her, noting that she hadn't drank blood since being turned, "A pleasure to meet the new apprentice.... well, the only apprentice, you're lucky young one. Although... if you don't drink blood within the next fortnight or so, you will die... I have seen it happen to vampire pups in the past, just drink, and you will feel better, you only have to do it once a week, and you don't have to drink much."

Sumnor walked up behind Dryac, his fringe now covering his face, obvious taht his hair was the same length all the way around, "I've tried that old friend, she's stubborn though, she will die if she doesn't drink.... but she seems to be ardent against it... I will mourn her loss."  He then went back to his pack and brought out a plain black long sleeved T-shirt and put it on, tiring of the printed one, "This is my kind of thing..." He muttered, before walking back to his friends.

Giving the dying lycan a smothering glare, Alix was about to make a smart remark when another deep voice emerged from the darkness. Her body was aching because of how tense she was, and her muscles were beginning to stiffen. Rolling her shoulders, Alix turned to size up the new-comer. When he slid from the shadows Alix felt the color drain from her cheeks. With lethal precision Dryac sliced the lycan through the eye. Alix was sure that if anything had been in sher stomach she would have been sick.

When Sumnor gestured for her to come forward for introductions, Alix hoped her eyes weren't as wide as they felt. "This is my friend, Dryac, he is pure lycan, purer than any lycan you will have the pleasure to meet or kill... he was one of the original, born on exactly the same day as me, however many centuries ago that was, I think I've lost count, something over 24,000 years."

She knew all of this but decided it would be better to play the part of a blond. Praying her sapphire eyes looked innocent of anything, Alix dipped her head in acknowledgment to Dryac. He was the one her father had used as a threat when she was a child. "Don't question me, or I will have Dryac come and get you." Shivering, Alix didn't know if this man, lycan, was as fierce as his reputation claimed or if he just used it to his advantage. Either way, Alix hoped he didn't recognize her or her scent.

Having been born into the vicious, most lethal pack still alive, Alix was technically Kattagarian. Wolf turned human. But when a traumatic accident forced her into human form too early, Alix lost her wolf. It had feared the presence of a human within it's mind so early, and had shattered under the complex and confusing thoughts. Unable to shift, Alix had been exiled. Though, it had been a bitter mercy. It would have been more than just torture watching the clan run. It would have killed me. And Alix knew that, deep inside, something was dead.

Blinking awake from her flash-back, Alix blushed a cute pink when she realized that she was the center of topic. Well, her and the fact that she refused to drink blood. About to grumble about it being repulsing, Alix paused when she heard that she didn't need to drink much and merely once a week. Her blush deepened when Sumnor stated clearly that her earlier fib hadn't fooled him. He knew that she hadn't been drinking.

Snapping her teeth, Alix couldn't hold back when Sumnor called her stubborn. "What are you saying you old man? Stubbornness is a fair quality, I'd say. It's better than being arrogent," pointedly staring at Sumnor, Alix pouted her lower lip as she tiped her chin up defiantly. Or stubbornly. "And don't talk about me as if I'm already gone, yeesh. Some would think you couldn't wait for me to be gone." Getting distracted when Sumnor changed his shirt, Alix coolly gazed at his bare back a moment before he covered it with another black shirt. This one was blank. "Hey," Alix growled teasingly, "why didn't I get that one? I'm the walking billboard." Glancing down at her black shirt, Alix glared at her name.

Just call me Siri.

Sumnor had read the girl's mind throughtout the introductions, he laughed inside at the part about Dryac's reputation, he really could be vicious, but he held no grudge against w2olf, human or vampire... or this odd mix that it turned out Alix was. Sumnor toold himself off, having forgotten to tell Alix taht he was psychic, his breed of vampires extremely rare now, people killing them when they got annoyed at the invasion of privacy.

"What are you saying olf man? stubborness is a fair quiality, I'd say. It's better than being arrogant." Sumnor walked to stand in front of Alix, hi immense height causing his shadow to be cast over her, "I cl*censored* you as arrogant, little one, so be careful with your words else I take a hand to you, now drink or die..." Sumnor then walked over ot his pack and sat on it once again, holding the hilt of his katana, the feel of the cold steel re*censored*uring him.

"why didn't I get that one? I'm the walking billboard. Sumnor stared blankly at her, no ex
pression showed in his face, his eye more devoid then they had ever been, "Because for one, these aren't your size, for two, my name isn't Alix... For three, you look really cute." Sumnor's eyes then gave him away, he smiled slightly as he began to draw incantations in the dirt before him.

Sumnor ocntinued to write the incantations, writing them in an old, long lost vampiric language, his memory recalling them perfectly, the dry dirt easy to manipulate. Once Sumnor had wrote a long string of the symbols, he waved a hand over them and they began to glow.

Sumnor stood, kicking the dirt making the incantations dissapear, "That'll protect us for a few nights.... at leat until we leave for the next city... tomorrow, we need to burn that crap hole of an agency down and kill everyone involved if we wever want peace..."
