Sumnor stopped for a moment, turning to Alix, "He's seven for christ's sake, he can speak however he wants to speak, don't go correcting a missing word, he'll learn as he listens to me, not as if I'm illiterate." He then turned back, relieved hed actually retaliated rather than letting it bottle up, bouncing Ryan before starting walking once again. Sumnor walked along bouncing Ryan on his shoulders, causing the boy to burst into random fits of laughter at random intervals, "Demons bad.... Are they going to be dead?" "Haha, hopefully Ryan, but careful that revenge isn't all that you run on, make sure you have other things to help you along in life." The boy looked confused, yet understood the words, he hugged around Sumnor's head, "Nice man..." Dryac raised a hand to the comment about undies, getting ready to clip her over the back of the head, but putting the hand down when she looked regretful, "You have been playing it really dangerous... and for some reason Sumnor really seems to like you, I can't see what he see's." He didn't even flinch to the scathing remark, he let his mind talk, not wanting to control it, "He's been nothing but patient with you. He continued to walk, glancing over at Sumnor and Ryan for a moment to ensure they were keeping pace, "It's isn't like Sumnor to keep an annoyance with him, at all, he usually just abandons them in a ditch and comes back two days later to see if they'd learnt some respect yet." He smirked slightly, remembering the last person to travel with Dryac and Sumnor, the dire duo, "And besides, all your shutting hiom down about relationships when you most obviously like him is idiotic, he'll end up losing interest if you're not careful."

Drawn aback by Sumnor's scolding words, Alix jerked away from him and stared at him with hurt eyes before she could guard them. Stiffening her spine against the turmoil in her mind and with her emotions, Alix snapped her teeth with frustration as she turned away from Sumnor. She just kept putting her foot in her mouth with him, and she didn't know how to stop. I only wanted to help, she defended herself in thought. With dazed eyes Alix watched Sumnor bounce the little boy, Ryan, on his shoulders with an ease that was beyond her. Sumnor seemed to have any talents but Alix knew that this easy companionship was one she was most jealous of. Even though the group was only four now, Alix was getting flighty. With two men and a boy always around her, she knew that it was only a matter of time before she would try to leave. Alix didn't want to, but the constant company was chaffing her like a collar on her freedom. She hated how this was part of her, wanting to be with people yet fleeing when too many appeared. Sasha had woken up to an empty apartment eight times during their friendship. Alix would just up and leave without a sound when the inner frustrations got to be too much. It took too much work and one sided effort to hold a stable friendship she had decided, but Sasha found her seven times out of those eight and had convinced her to give it another try. He would push the boundaries of group settings with her, and she knew it was only because he was hoping that with time she would become less skittish. It had worked a bit, but all the work would disappear if a child came near her, let alone a baby. The instinct to protect and nurture would surface and it would scare the life out of Alix. In result, she would leave. Coming back to the present, as Dryac spoke from her side, Alix felt ashamed of her behavior. She was a bit ornery but she couldn't help that. Being stubborn, well, she could try to be less of that, possibly. I'll just have to try hard, she thought. What Dryac said had a sting to it, but Alix understood. Not only has she been under stress, but the two men as well. It was about time Dryac let a bit of steam out, since Sumnor popped his lid on her earlier. It's probably just me creating all the stress, Alix thought with guilt. They can take care of all the demons without me, so I'm just holding them back. With a huge sigh, Alix looked over at Dryac. He was just trying to be helpful. Yet it was just making her flightier. Though, it made her wonder why Sumnor hadn't thrown her in the nearest hole. Rubbing her forehead with the heel of her palm, Alix wanted to whimper. Her head ache had intensified since picking up the boy and it was hard not to think about the blood lust, even with such a serious topic at hand. Barely stopping herself from one of her cl*censored*ic remarks, Alix sighed. "I can't help it," she finally mumbled as her gaze drifted over Sumnor. "He's a great guy, vampire, whatever you want to say, and I'm..." Her eyes became sad and far away. "You're a disgrace!" her mother screamed, "I can't believe you are mine! No. You are not mine. I will never look at you again. Leave! Leave and don't look back because I never will." Those words had hurt so badly that Alix flinched even now. To hear those words coming from your mother, to watch the look of repugnance fill her features, to smell the truth of her statements, it was all to heart breaking. Alix could still remember the looks of love and the comforting praise her mother had given her, before she knew Alix couldn't change, and that's what made it all the harder. To know ones love then have it turned on you in hate. "What I am doesn't matter, if he tires of me now then it will only save us both the time and effort of a relationship." Looking up at Sumnor's strong back, Alix felt her sapphire eyes tingle. To her surprise tears were close to the surface. Biting her lip, she grimaced when blood was drawn because of her fangs, but she welcomed the distraction. Licking the drops off of her lower lip, Alix took her eyes off Sumnor and stared at Dryac. "Besides, I've wrecked everything so far and I don't have a clue as to where I should begin repairing anything." With a self-incriminating grin, she ground out between clenched teeth, "I've never been in a relationship. Not an intimate one, at least. I can't even get friendship right." To her frustration, the tears returned. Filling up to the edge, Alix looked away when she couldn't keep them back. I'm a fool, she cursed herself. Fisting her hands she did the only thing she could. She ran. Flitting to the right, Alix called up her instincts as a wolf and let her run. Her surroundings blurred as she pushed herself harder than she ever had before. The katana tapped against her side, a reminder of Sumnor's kindness, but she kept going. The sticky, pink tears flowed down her cheeks as she stretched out her strides to eat up more distance. The hurricane of emotions spilled out of her as she put space between her and Sumnor. Never had anyone ever made her feel this way. Not even Sasha. This feeling was so different, so confusing. It hurt nearly as much as it made her overwhelmingly happy. Shaking her head, Alix whimpered as she closed her eyes and slowed down. Jogging now, she angrily dashed away her tears. "What am I going to do," she whispered hoarsely. Alix didn't dare look back. If she did...she might just run straight back to them and that filled her with more fear than she had ever known.

Dryac panicked, morphing and flitting in persuit right away, struggling to keep up, the lack of vampire blood in him making it all the harder to flit as fast as she did, the vampire and lycan working together obviously, He pushed himself, the lean muscles in his powerful legs working on overtime, his fur making him appear like a blur, he continued to persue her,r ealsing she had flitted straight past another demon nest. "Damn it Alix, stop now...." He finally caught up with her when she had stopped, panting heavily, "Look.... You might look..... at yourself as a failure..... Probably because of what other people have.... said to you.... but no matter what Sumnor will always be there for you, he's connected to you in such a short time.... it's unbelievable." Dryac stopped and took a few deep breaths, reverting to his human for and allowing himself to fall otno one knee, "I don't get why he cares so much for a girl he's just met but you running away isn't going to help either of you, if you work at it and allow Sumnor to be there for you and help you, you won't fail again." Dryac was becoming extremly frustrated, having to get it out, his deep lycan took control, pulling a huge clump of earth from the ground and hurtling it back where he'd come from, crushing at least 7 demons, the other running for cover, before he turned back to Alix, "Just.... Give him a chance."

"Damn it Alix, stop now...." With a startled eep Alix spun around quickly, so quickly she lost her balance and fell onto her rump. Shuffling back two steps in an awkward crab walk, Alix hurried to her feet and brushed the dust off her derrière. Her cheeks, which were flushed from the run, became even redder as she stared at Dryac's wolf form. As slick with sweat as she was from the run, the lycan had obviously trailed her the entire time. Hanging her head with shame, Alix rubbed her hands over her eyes with frustration. No one had ever bothered to chase after her. They would always look her up later, at their own convenience. "Look....," Dryac huffed. "You might look..... at yourself as a failure..... Probably because of what other people have.... said to you.... but no matter what Sumnor will always be there for you, he's connected to you in such a short time.... it's unbelievable." Angry at his words, Alix was even more furious that he could clearly see her tears. It was a weakness she would never live down most likely, and she wasn't a crier. Everything had just been happening so quickly. Too many changes swarmed her and in result her strong facade was cracking. The true, insecure Alix was peaking out and seeking comfort, but old habits died hard. "Dryac, I honestly don't even know where to begin!" she pleaded. "I don't get why he cares so much for a girl he's just met but you running away isn't going to help either of you, if you work at it and allow Sumnor to be there for you and help you, you won't fail again." The lycan continued as he shifted to human form. Now that she could see his facial features, Alix shivered. He looked so anger that she actually might have feared for her life, if Dryac and Sumnor hadn't been such close friends. But since they were Alix knew that Dryac wouldn't hurt her so long as Sumnor showed a smidgen of affection toward her. Although, that didn't protect others from his wrath. With a roar, he throw a cunk of earth at seemingly no where but soon demons scattered screaming. Alix felt heat return to her cheeks, after they had just seemed to cool down, when she realized how close she had gotten to danger. I could have been attacked by those demons, she thought bitterly. I'm a fool. Sincer her mind was still stuck on the fact the she had just dashed by a nest of demons, Alix startled when Dryac shouted at her, "Just... give him a chance." Her sapphire eyes filled with fear of being betrayed or mocked, but she whispered anyway, "What if he doesn't want to give me another chance?"

Dryac's fingesr were curled into the ground, mainly from exaustion, it had been a few thousand years since he had had a good chase like that, and the wolf in him wanted to devour his prey. "He will always give you a second chance, Alix.... there are reasons I don't completely understand for the infatuation, but he really seems to care about you, if it were anyone else they'd be dead in a ditch right now, but he seems to want to make sure you make it." Dryac stood, drawing his twin katanas, before running at the demons and beginning to slash, knowing there was only a dozen or so left, not feeling the need to transform. The blades ripped through flesh, meat and bone without making any differentiation between the three. He cut through them like paper, his mind not caring in the least, his heart beating at it's normal rate. Once he had finished, he transformed into his lycan form, the blood of the demons evaporating due to the heat created by his morph, Before glancing back to Alix, "Try to keep up," He winked slightly, showing it was a challenge, before beginning to gallop towards Sumnor's general direction, pushing his muscles even further than he had done a minute ago, appearing next to Sumnor a mere second later. "Explain to Alix what you feel for her and try to make her understand, please." Sumnor stood and watched the direction where Dryac had come from, Ryan was still sat on his shoulders, he stood in wait, a slight look of confusion on his face.

A fine tremble over took Alix as she listened to Dryac. Her nerves felt as if they were fried, since she had never had experienced this much emotion before. Keeping her sharp comments close to her, Alix had protected her more vulnerable inner feelings because it was easier to do this than open up to someone else. Yet Sumnor and Dryac kept prying at her and it was creating cracks in her defenses. She couldn't understand how Dryac had so much confidence in the fact that Sumnor would accept her. Such confidence in another being wasn't part of her nature, so seeing it in another created an odd mix of loning, jealousy, and confusing. Alix had this much faith for only one being, and she even doubted Him at times. She just could trust another like she could trust herself, but she was starting to lose trust in herself as well the longer she stayed with Sumnor. Her mind was occupied with her thoughts as she watched with mild sadness as Dryac slaughtered more demons. This type of killing didn't make sense to her or her wolf. Alix didn't judge either Dryac or Sumnor for behaving this way, but she knew that this act of aggression would never be her nature. Having been a tool of another for a few years of her life, Alix always wondered who was being killed because of their faith or because of their masters' order. "Try to keep up," Dryac dared her when he was through with the demons. His azure eyes held a taunting hint in them before he winked and raced off in Sumnor's direction. For a brief moment Alix thought about just staying put. It would be so much easier to just turn her back and leave. To leave Sumnor and his confusing demands, and push all her emotions back into a corner where they could be forgotten once again, but Alix couldn't do that. She thrived for challenges, and even though this one was unfamiliar and frightening, she would complete it. With a wicked grin, Alix thought smugly, I always win. With a growl of agreement from her wolf, Alix burst into motion again. This time it was more controlled, though. Her arms and legs moving in a motion that was pure poetry. The pounding of her feet rallied with the drumming of her heart. At odd moments, like this one, Alix would puzzle over the fact that her heart still beat like she was still human, even if she was clearly not human. She had never been human, really, but it was an odd thought. Her braid sailed behind her this time as she called up the endurance of her beast and the speed of her vampire blood. Catching up to Dryac she hesitated, at the sight of Sumnor, and skidded to a hault. Sumnor seemed to be oblivious to the fact that they had disappeared. An unexpected feeling of disappointment filled her, but she quickly smashed it down. She heard Dryac say, "Explain to Alix what you feel for her and try to make her understand, please." but it didn't quite register. Her greedy sapphire eyes couldn't seem to look away from Sumnor. His lean, muscular form was delectable; from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet. The raven-wing black hair looked glossy in its ruffled state, even though he had fought off numerous guards and demons. His pale skin was spotless of dirt besides this one streak on one cheek that she itched to wipe away with her thumb, but she held herself in check. Staring into his molten eyes, she again thought about the differences between them. He was so cool and calculating with his blazing eyes while she was fiery and tempered with icy eyes. The little boy sat upon his shoulder without a care to the world around him. Sumnor had pacified his worries with ease, and a yearning grew in Alix to learn such things. A foreign feeling filled her again as she continued to stare openly up at Sumnor. The feeling made her want to throw her arms around him and plead for understand, to have him settle down and teach her how to raise children...but her fear overrode those thoughts. Sumnor looked so collected and charming, that Alix couldn't help up scowl up at him. "He doesn't have to explain anything," she growled over her shoulder to Dryac. "I'm probably not worth the time." Grinding her teeth together, Alix wished she could take the words back but she wouldn't regret them now that they were out in the open. Her right hand tingled with the remembrance of a knife handle grasped tightly in it whenever the pain of betrayal or loneliness became too much, and she instinctively crossed her arms. Even though her long sleeve shirt covered her, Alix felt like her secrets would soon surface. Flaring her nostrils to keep the tears back, Alix hissed, "Stay away from me." Don't leave me alone! her mind screamed the true words she wanted to speak.

Whilst she was staring blankly at him, Sumnor was attempting to get in the back for of her mind, hunting for it for a good few moments before prying it open. He walked through as if it was another earth, looking for recent thoughts, finding themr ather easily as they were shouting out.... mainly for him. His body moved forward as she spoke in the real world, "He doesn't have to explain anything," he looked into her eyes as tears welled up in the corners, a mix of emotions sweeping over him as it ever had, "I'm probably not worth the time." His hands moved around to the small of ehr back, holding her close as he gazed deep into her eyes, a slight smile on his face. "Stay away from me." the thought screamed at the mind that was now inside hers, Don't leave me alone! "I'll never leave you alone Alix, I have feeligns for you I can't yet describe.... they're all foreign to me, as I've never felt these before.... so they can't be bad feelings." He smiled, brushing the palm of his right hand down her face, "You can trust me as long as I can t rust you, I'll allow you full access to my mind, so you know if I'm ever lying, you can even shut me off from your mind if you wish, I just want you to know I'll be there for you..." Dryac looked at the pair as Sumnor opened up, not used to seeing the old vampire laying out his feelings like this, he turned and began to walk to the gate he ahd cleared a minute ago, clearing his thoughts as he did so, catching a demon by the throat as it charged at him, crushing the throat effortlessly. He then sat on the cleanest boulder he could find, far enough away so he could nto pry in to the conversation, watching from his position as Sumnor's eyes began to water slightly, but he still had a smile on his face. Ryan ran over to Dryac, as Dryac picked him up and sat him on his lap, "So how're you doing little one?" "Sumnor...." He pointed at himself, "Sumnor my daddy?" "Well, I think he's going to be the best thing ever as a Dad, but you'll have to ask him about the legalities when you get older, I doubt he'll explain it just yet." Ryan just stared into Dryac's features nonchalantly, "Okey Dokey Dryac." he then hopped off the knees and just stood next to Dryac's long legs.

Alix fought her instincts as they told her to run when Sumnor started toward her. They screamed that this would end with so much more pain than Sasha's betrayal if she went any further. The pain would be tenfold and she might never be able to gather the pieces of her heart, should Sumnor leave her. As he stood inches from her Alix started to tremble again, and in the back of her mind she felt a pressure and knew that he had taken a look inside. This time, she didn't really mind though. No, I wouldn't be able to pick the pieces up, she thought. With a tenderness she didn't expect, he pulled her into an embrace. I wouldn't want to. Alix knew that she wouldn't want to because of what Sumnor promised. It was so much better than anything she ever had before. "I'll never leave you alone Alix, I have feelings for you I can't yet describe.... they're all foreign to me, as I've never felt these before.... so they can't be bad feelings," his deep throated, smooth voice whispered. The feeling of falling into black seemed to fade as her heart soared. She had felt so alone all of her life that the promise of constant company made her weak in the knees. Though, Alix was a strong, stubborn woman by nature so she kept her knees in check. Having been stiff in Sumnor's arms, Alix found herself relaxing as he spoke more words of comfort. She wanted to trust him, she really did. Yet her reclusive living made it hard for her solitary instincts to accept another's word one hundred percent. Looking into his eyes, Alix felt like he was looking straight into her soul. Realizing that she was still trembling, Alix tried to stop it but found it was impossible under Sumnor's steady gaze. I will try for you, Sumnor, Alix promised silently as she broke their stare. Licking her lips nervously, Alix took a shot in the dark and cuddled closer to Sumnor; resting her head on his chest she hesitantly wrapped her arms loosely around his neck. Without the presence of his emotion filled stare, Alix found herself whispering, "You can trust me..." Feeling that it would be too silly to say his surname now, and too nervous to say his first, Alix paused. Her fingers tapped a anxious beat and she was momentarily distracted by how silk, soft his hair was. "I may be sharp tongued, but I when give myself up to someone I give myself wholly. There is no need for me to be devious or back-stabbing, I don't understand those things at all and neither does my wolf." Down to his shoulder blades in length, she had always thought that ebony hair would be coarse or rough, but Sumnor's was smooth like silk as she stroked his fingers through it. While Alix ran her fingers through Sumnor's hair, she continued to speak, "I'm not an easy person to get along with, I know this, but I won't change. I can't and I wouldn't even if I could." Lifting her head from his chest, Alix let her gaze wander from the broad expanse of his chest to his neck, and up to the contours of his face; his proud chin, strong nose, bold eye brows. Her gaze paused at his lips as her mind wondered if they would be surprisingly soft like his hair had been. A flash of memory made her cheeks flush pink, and Alix knew that his lips were soft. Some time while she had been speaking her trembling had stopped, but when she looked back into his eyes she shivered again. "Even though I won't change, do you really want..me?" Alix felt so vulnerable, held in his arms and baring her feelings to him, but also felt like he wouldn't take advantage of her. He wouldn't force her into a corner like he had almost done earlier when he had pinned her to the ground. Though she was pinned again, it was his arms and emotions surrounding her, not the unyielding earth and his angry words. Her veins felt like they were on fire as heat centered in and around her. Pressing gently with her mind, not really knowing what to do, Alix hoped that she could see just a smidgen of Sumnor's mind. She wanted to see that he was as sincere with his words as he was with his emotions. In a soft, melodic whisper she asked looking into his eyes, "Will you let me in, please?"

"Will you let me in, please?" Sumnor leant his forehead on Alix's, hesitating slightly, but steeling his enrves quickly, before kissing her gently and using the connection to allow her full access, breaking down barriers and ripping open doors, he lay his mind bare for her to see. He created a world, fields everywhere, lush plants and trees, a wonderland by any measure, "You're in, Alix." Sumnor kissed Alix once again before releasing her from his embrace, giving her complete freedom to roam the landscape of his mind. "You want to know what I'm thinking? you walk that way until you hear my voice with a slightly more mystic value, that's the thoughts section of my brain, although beware, it's usually muddled." He grinned at her, before sitting on a rather large boulder. "So what do you want to see? you can find out or see pretty much anything about me in here." Dryac saw that Sumnor had kissed Alix, before picking Ryan up and moving closer, seeing that they were staying perfectly still, "Look's like they're mind locked, buddy," "That good?" "yeah it is, it means they trust eachother completely." Ryan smiled gleefully, holding on tight to Dryac's shoulders, liking the lycan just as much as he enjoyed Sumnor's company. Sumnor sat gazing at Aria, everythingwas as it should be in this world he had so easily created, there was not one grain of soil in either of their faces, no blood on their clothes, no blemishes anywhere, everything was perfect in Sumnor's eyes, uncluding the picture-perfect scenery. Dryac paced over to the two and placed Ryan a few paces away from them, before crouching down to him, "Stay here, they're going to need someone from this planet to let them know they're out of the mind state, whatever you do don't touch them, deal?" "Deal!"

With his arms still tightly wrapped around her, Sumnor rested his forehead against her own and Alix closed her eyes. Comfort, like none she had ever experienced before, filled her with peace as all the pieces clicked together, and Alix began to let her mind relax from its death-grip on emotions. Everything fit perfectly, like the way her lean, gentle curves fit with Sumnor's strong, hard plains and how his calm and steady personality curbed the edge off of her fiery one. When his lips hesitantly brushed hers, Alix thought she would melt. Inhaling his scent through her sensitive nose, she trembled like a leaf as heat flushed her cheeks. Taking fistfuls of his shirt Alix hoped that the grip would keep her from falling to the ground like her knees threatened to do. Then in a glorious burst of color Alix knew that Sumnor had opened up his mind to her, completely. In her minds eye, she pulled away slightly, she was still in his arms, to look around herself. Abundant, green foliage coated the ground while a stream trickled some where just out of sight. Trees stood tall and proud with branches full of beautifully hued leaves and bright fruits that promised to be juicy. With surprising swiftness, Sumnor claimed her lips again in a quick kiss that still had her legs as weak as a newborn pups. "You want to know what I'm thinking? You walk that way until you hear my voice with a slightly more mystic value, that's the thoughts section of my brain, although beware, it's usually muddled." Taking a shaky step away from Sumnor, she was instantly aware of his loss. With a small frown creasing her brown, Alix thought of something completely outrageous but a small smile curled her lips at the idea. He's kissed me three times now, I'm sure it's not that unpredictable, Alix thought to herself. Slowly, as if waiting for rejection, she reached for Sumnor's hand. Twining their fingers together, she tugged lightly on his hand. The warmth and comfort she gathered from the small act made her feel silly and foolish, but those feelings didn't stop her toes from curling in delight. A rare event, Alix didn't know what to say. Looking down at her sneakered feet she let her bangs fall forward as if to hide a little. "So what do you want to see? You can find out or see pretty much anything about me in here." This caught her immediate attention. Licking her lips, in her ever so obvious nerves gesture, Alix timidly asked, "Can you show me your family? I remember you briefly mentioned a lover, once. What about her too?" Having missed her own family dearly, Alix wanted to know about Sumnor's. What were they like? Are they alive still? Are they vampires too? She wondered. Then a scary question came to mind, would they like me? Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Alix suddenly thought of another question, "Um, what is my real body doing? Can I be in your mind and the real world at the same time, or does one of the states freeze in time?" He seemed to be able to travel between thought and present without much effort, but this connection felt heavily helped by Sumnor. Alix didn't even know how it was happening. It's so exciting! I wonder if I would be able to hold the connection by myself someday.

"Can you show me your family? I remember you briefly mentioned a lover, once. What about her too?" Sumnor took Alix by the hand and began strolling through the dor, causing a door to open from nowhere, merely opening up the landscape to the hall of his memories, "Well.... as you know about my parents, they died.... as for how, lycans attacked the castle we were living in at the time and took their lives as if it meant nothing." He stopped and gestured with a hand to a portrait, but it wasn't a regular painting, it was as fi they were watching a video on loop, it was his parents dancing at their wedding, his mother was heavily pregnant with Sumnor at the time, so he was surprised he had held on to that memory. "She was a beautiful woman, even that far into pregnancy." He gazed at the portrait of his parents, longing to be with them for only a few minutes. he then took her on another short stroll, along one of the corridors of his mind, it was an elaborate place, a mess of various corridors, tunnels, caverns, halls. He stopped at a picture of a tall, female vampire, slender in build, although power was obvious in her muscles, "This is Katanya, she was the only other female I loved." He then began walking once again, this time to one of the darker parts of his memories, a picture of the attack, a lonely boy - young Sumnor in fact, embracing his knees with the carc*censored*es of dead lycans surrounding him. This is just after my parents had been butcherred... they had locked me in a room in order ot protect me but that's when my telekenisis kicked in, I blasted through the door and unleashed it all in the middle of those wolves...." Sumnor looked at the picture with detatched eyes, not wanting to get involved in that aprticular memory again, "All that energy leaving my body at once.... it left me tired, scared.... I sat there in that position until my uncle found me two days later." Sumnor pushed the wall slightly, the door opening up back into the field, and he led her back into the vast expanse, "He died when I came of age, 21, from there I didn't age, just matured, trained, shaped my body as well as I could.... as well as was needed." He then thought for a few moments, "And as for the other question, our bodies freeze when we do something to this extreme... just freeze in their last position."
