Zera raised her brows. So feeding would heal the wound faster... But Zane was okay with healing slowly? She furrowed her brows. She loosened her grip on Zane's back to place her chin on his shoulder. She sighed, closing her eyes.
"You can take some of my blood if it will make it heal faster. It doesn't hurt all that much." That, and the fact that she wanted to feel that strange feeling that she got only when Zane bit her. It was an addicting feeling, what could she say?
"And I ask because I am worried about you," she said, putting her cheek on his shoulder."

Zane turned his head slightly to Zera as she rested her chin on his shoulder. A grin played across his lips as she offered her blood to him. Now that was more tempting than any little touch. Her blood was the best that he'd ever had, plus some. And if she was so willing...
"Aww, love, you don't have to," Zane responded instead. His words said she didn't have to; his tone said he really wanted to anyways. He placed his hand on her leg again, a comforting touch for himself.
"It means a lot that you'd be willing to risk so much just so I can heal faster." Zane grinned as he spoke, wondering how he landed such a catch. He was positive his old wife would have never done the same. |

Zera smiled again as he called her love once more. Zane said that she didn't have to, but she wanted to. She wanted to help him out. She wanted to help him heal faster. She had to. Her smile widened as he said that it meant a lot to him that she would offer her blood.
"I don't have to, that's true, but I want to. I want you to heal faster." And she just wanted to be bitten. But she wouldn't say that. Not then, at least. She chewed on the inside of her cheek. "Whenever you want the blood, just stop the horse for a while, and you can feed." She readjusted her head on his shoulder.
She honestly didn't care when he stopped the horse. It wasn't like they were on a time schedule, anyways. Of course, they may want to get to town and buy more medical supplies. And get some more shirts for Zane.

Zane contemplated Zera's offer. Well, if she was willing to do it anytime, now and here would be as good as ever. Besides, he could see a clearing just off the path. He pulled the horse to the right, leading it to the empty spot in the trees. It was just off the path enough that they wouldn't be seen by any passerbys.
Zane pulled the horse to a stop and glanced over at Zera. A wide smile grew on his face as he looked at her. It was almost startling to know that he once kidnapped her and was going to lead her to her death. Thank God those days were over.
"Are you sure, my Princess?" Zane asked her once more. He wanted to be entirely sure before they did this. |

Zera was surprised as her captor pulled the horse into a clearing off of the beaten path. So he wanted her blood right then? She had no objections. She was actually happy. The sooner he fed, the sooner she would get her fix, so to speak. Her lips curled into a smile as he grinned at her over his shoulder.
"I'm sure, Zaniell." She didn't know why he called her a princess. She wasn't technically a princess anymore. She was supposed to be dead, really. She had no doubt that if her father knew she was alive, he would kill her by his own means. She wondered what lies he was telling the people of the court, and what he was telling her mother. For all she knew, her mother could have been in on the immortality scheme. She shook her head.
Releasing Zaniell, she went ahead and jumped down from atop the horse. "Whenever you're ready." she pulled her hair to the side as she walked away from the horse slightly.

Zane chuckled at Zera's eagerness. She was already off of the horse, parting her hair away from her neck before Zane had released the reigns. Even from afar, the vampire could see the strong pulse on her now exposed neck. So enticing, both the girl and the blood.
Zane swung his legs over the horse and jumped from the saddle. He landed awkwardly with an oomph. His hand immediately went to grab his shoulder, which he had jarred. It wouldn't hurt so bad in a moment. The man just smiled at the thought.
Zane quickly made his way to the girl, standing behind her. He took his hands and slid them from her shoulders to her elbows slowly. He bent down and nuzzled her exposed neck. He placed a few sweet kisses down her neck, nibbling softly as he did so.
"Mmmm, Zera..."

Zera heard Zane land with a bit of difficulty. He wouldn't have that problem from now on. So long as she was around, he had full permission to feed from her. For his benefit, and hers. She heard him come up behind her, but he caught her off guard when he muzzled the exposed side of her neck.
Chills raised on her arms as he slowly trailed his hands down the flesh there. She shivered as she felt him nibble at her neck, kissing it, too. It was a contradictory combination. Nonetheless, it made her pulse quicken, and made breathing much harder. Her eyes closed and she sighed.
"Zaniell," she purred out, right after he said her name. She drew in a sharp breath, readjusting her hair.

Zaniell felt the Princess' pulse quicken under his lips and couldn't help but smile. It was nice to know what an effect he had on her. And the shiver? Well, it just made him realize how much his touch meant to her. He had to practically hold back a moan when she said his name.
Well, it was time to get this over with. Zane placed a soft kiss on the girl's neck before extracting his fangs. A quick prick later, he was slowly drinking her blood. He could feel all five senses sharpen as the blood hit his tongue and went down his throat. Her scent, her delicate skin underneath his hands, the taste of her blood.
It was pure delight. Zane didn't think blood could taste any finer the day he first tasted the girl's blood. He was wrong. Perhaps it was because they were emotionally closer now. Maybe it was just mind tricks. Zane didn't know, nor did he care. He was just living in the moment. |

Zera smiled as the last kiss was placed on her skin, and she prepared herself for the bite. Though she had braced herself, she still let out a small yelp of pain as Zaniell punctured her neck with his fangs. Soon after, though, she relaxed as the effects of the bite spread through her.
She tilted her head farther to the side and stressed the vein so that the blood would flow easier, with less hesitation. Her eyes closed, and she let out a sigh. Her craving for the effects of the bite would be satiated for a while after this. The grey-eyed girl wondered just what made the bites so addictive.
"Don't take too much, Zaniell," she said, her voice a whisper. She had no doubt that Zaniell wouldn't take an excessive amount. She trusted him.

Zane winced slightly when he heard Zera cry out from his bite. She relaxed almost immediately, but he hated causing her any pain. He almost rolled his eyes as she told him to not take too much. If anything, Zane wouldn't take enough, for fear of hurting the girl.
Like clockwork, Zane could feel his muscles stitching together, his broken skin healing slowly. It was an odd feeling, since there was no pain. His wound was almost healed when he pulled his fangs out. He put his hands on both sides of her waist, just in case she was feeling woozy.
"How are you feeling, love?" Zane then asked her. He licked the small trail of blood running down her neck from the wound, then the wound itself. His saliva would cause it to heal faster. |

Zera sighed as Zane pulled away from her neck. She was grateful for his steadying hands at her waist. She was feeling a tad bit dizzy, but it was nothing that she couldn't handle. She opened her eyes reluctantly, leaning back against her captor.
She shivered as Zane licked the wound. It healed quickly, though. She felt the skin close up. She glanced up and over her shoulder to peer into Zane's eyes. Her lips curled into a goofy smile. "I'm a bit dizzy, but other than that, I'm fine." She licked her lips.
"Are you all healed up?" She cocked her head to the side, much like a puppy. She would probably hit him if he didn't take enough. Though the hit would probably hurt her more than it would hurt him.

Zane welcomed Zera as she leaned against him. He moved his hands from her waist and instead wrapped his arms around her middle, successfully pinning her against him. There, that should make her stable. He felt her shiver, one of those good shivers, he hoped, and couldn't help but smile.
"I'm sure we can stay like this until you're back to normal," Zaniell said softly, nuzzling her neck again. The girl licked her lips, and Zane was jealous. Those lips were his, and he was going to claim them as his.
"And I'm fine enough," He whispered into her ear right before kissing it.

Zera relaxed fully as she felt Zaniell snake his arms around her midsection, pinning her against him. She let out a sigh and bit back a moan as Zane nuzzled her neck. It was quite difficult, seeing as how the bite's aftermath made it hard for her to do anything other than speak her mind.
She got chills again as Zane spoke in her ear and kissed the appendage. He had no clue how unfair he was being. It was torturous, really. Not being able to kiss him back, due to their current position. She wouldn't say anything, though, because as torturous as it was, Zera didn't mind.
She also didn't mind being in close proximity with Zane like this until her wooziness was gone. Maybe she could pretend that she was still woozy even after her dizziness would cease. It would be the perfect excuse to have Zaniell hold her longer.
"I'm glad that you're well now." She gave him a sweet smile.

Zane was glad he was doing better as well. He felt kind of bad that he took enough to make the girl dizzy, but she asked for it. Hadn't she? Or did he? Oh gosh, Zane didn't remember. He couldn't think past the extreme rush he had gotten when biting the girl. He was becoming just as addicted to the bites as Zera was, though he didn't know it.
"If you're still weak, I can carry you back to the horse," Zane said softly to the girl in front of him. "I'll sit behind you on the horse and hold the reigns. You can lean against me..." He paused to put a small peck on Zera's cheek. "I won't let you fall. I promise."

Zera could have walked to the horse unassisted by then, but she really didn't feel like it. She was becoming such a spoiled girl because of her captor. She looked at the sky, smiling as a bird passed overhead.
The prospect of being so close to Zane on the horse ride was ridiculously tempting. She wouldn't say no. She couldn't say no. She smiled when he promised that he wouldn't let get fall. She had no doubt. He wouldn't let her fall. She trusted him fully.
The princess sighed and said, "Yeah, that sounds good. I know you won't let me fall." She grinned as she felt his lips touch her cheek in a short, soft kiss.

Zane grinned at her response. It was nice to know that she trusted him so much, even though he had kidnapped her, was going to kill her - lead her to her death, same thing -, sucked her blood multiple times, and was barely able to protect her from bandits. Maybe she shouldn't have trusted him so much.
Without another word, Zane scooped the Princess up in his now healed arms and walked back to the horse. He was slightly shocked about how fast his arm healed, quicker than even normal feeding would heal him. He still felt a little sick on the inside, but he wasn't going to tell Zera about it. He didn't want to worry her. He'd just wait until they reached his witch of a friend.
With gentle hands, the vampire lifted Zera onto the horse. He quickly hopped up on the horse behind her, leaving enough room for her to get settled before he did so. He grinned stupidly as he marveled in his new found strength. Zera blood, that's all it took, it seemed. |

Zera grinned as Zaniell smiled once she had finished speaking. Sure, she probably shouldn't trust anyone that much, but Zane had saved her life multiple times. He had saved her from being sacrificed, though he was the one originally assigned to do it. He had saved her from that man at the market, even though she had been scared of him, and he saved her from the bandits.
What could the princess say? She was charmed.
She let out a few giggles as Zaniell wordlessly scooped her up into his arms, carrying her to the horse. She could feel his large muscles workin as he placed her into the saddle. She settled herself as her captor got onto the remainder of the saddle behind her.
She gave him a shy smile as she leaned against his chest, sighing. He gave her permission to lean against him, but yet she was shy. Why was that?

Zane couldn't help but grin widely as the Princess gave him a shy smile. After what they had just done, the kissing and the biting, what would she be shy about? He was so amused by the idea that she was shy... He just didn't get it.
Nonetheless, Zera's shyness didn't keep Zane from doing what he wanted. His movement of wrapping his arm around her waist wasn't shy. How his other arm slyly brushed against her while grabbing the reigns wasn't shy. What could the man say? He just wasn't that shy!
Zane led the horse at a slow pace, both for not wanting Zera to get motion sick and the fact he wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. What was wrong with that? Well, nothing to Zane. Granted, he didn't know how the Princess was doing. So, being the gentleman he was, Zane leaned down to whisper in her ear.

Zera wondered why Zaniell had grinned so widely at her action. Surely she didn't look strange, right? The girl felt a cold sweat bead on the back of her neck. Her captor hadn't seemed to have any problems with her appearance before. Unless he had hid those problems. Perish the thought; Zera dismissed the wondering quickly.
When she felt his arm snake it's way around her waist, Zera wasn't shocked enough to blush. However, she did feel her face warm up pleasantly. She found the motion natural for Zane. She was envious of how natural he was with his movements. He seemed to have no problem touching her when he grabbed the reigns and moved the horse.
Of course she was fine! She was more than fine! She was being held securely against her captor, and the horse was moving at the perfect pace. The princess looked up at Zane and said, "I'm fine, Zane." That was the first time she ever used his shorter name.
