"As much as I don't want to, we need to stop," Zane said in a shaky voice. He wouldn't be surprised if the girl didn't already have bruises on her waist. He was a terrible person, knowing that he could hurt the girl, but still doing what he wanted.
Zaniell moved his hand from the back of her neck to her cheek again. He brushed his thumb gently up her soft skin. He bent down and placed a lingering, soft kiss on her lips before pulling back up.
"And I think we both know how much I don't want to stop," He mumbled, more to himself than her. Well, it was a good time. They were nearly to the waterfall. Perhaps Zera wanted to take a bath in the water before they met the witch. He promptly shook the thought from his mind. If Zera were to take a bath, he would be too tempted to join her. Kisses were fine, but that was going a little far... For now. |

Zera was a bit disappointed at how Zane didn't want to continue. It was true, though. They did need to stop. The back of a horse wasn't exactly the prime spot for kissing. She could fall off, Zane could fall off, or they could both fall off. Plenty of negative things could happen. She accepted his final kiss, sighing when he pulled away.
She heard his sentence. She did know that he didn't want to stop, given that he stated that right before he said that they needed to stop. She wrapped her arms around his still-bare chest in a quick embrace before turning around in the saddle, sitting normally again.
The girl noted that she probably needed to bathe quite badly, though she didn't smell bad. She hadn't taken a bath since Zaniell kidnapped her. Luckily for her, though, she hadn't gotten dirty while they were traveling, thanks to Zane. The next time they passed by water that was clear, she would definately have to stop to bathe. She also missed sleeping in a real bed. Just the thought of lying down in a soft mattress made her smile slightly. When would she sleep in a bed again?
If she ever saw her father, she swore, she would do everything in her power to kill him.

Zaniell smiled when he heard the falling of water from the path. They were almost there. He veered the horse from the trail and into the woods. It took a few minutes, but they were finally there. He smiled when the scene came to view. The beautiful waterfall, the clear, sparkling pool below it, the lush flowers growing besides it, and the nearly setting sun giving it the perfect look.
Zane glanced down at Zera and couldn't help but smile.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?"
He was talking about both the girl and the waterfall. How cliche, but true. If Zane spoke of something, it would be the truth. With that, he jumped off the horse and looked towards the water. He was sure it would be temperate, for a human, so not too cold. And the setting was just perfect...
"How would you feel about going for a swim, Zera?" Zane looked up at the girl, his grin ear to ear. |

Zera had almost dozed on the way to their destination. The moving of the horse didn't really put her to sleep, though. Plus, her head was bussing from that kiss. Her lips still felt all tingly, too. Her eyes began searching for the rushing water before she could see it. Her eyes widened when she finally saw it. It was a rather large waterfall, and it splashed audibly.
Her eyes looked to Zane as he spoke and dismounted the horse. She gave him a smile and said, "It's breathtaking." She looked up to the rainbows forming in the mist given off at the top of the waterfall, the sunset's light reflecting nicely off of the water. She dismounted the horse shortly after Zane.
She laughed as her cheeks warmed up when he asked her if she wanted to go for a swim. "A swim sounds good, but I don't think that it would be okay for you to see me while I swim. Because I'll be... You know..." She gestured to her body. She didn't really want to say the rest.

Zane glanced at the princess and smiled. She gestured to her body. What was he supposed to be getting from that? Yeah, she had a nice body, he tell even through the dress. And the feel, as his hands had explored her waist and such.

"So, you swim naked?" Zane asked her, his tone completely serious. He raised one eyebrow, his whole ex

pression broke and a wide smile came through. She shouldn't answer that.
"We swim in our under garments, m'lady," Zane said with a grin. "Or are you afraid you might pass out when you see more of my delightful body?" He winked then gave a soft chuckle at the comment. Well, it might just happen... |

Zera watched as Zane computed what she had said. And then he spoke, causing her to blush. Heavens, no; she did not swim naked! The nerve of the boy! Her cheeks were bright red. Goodness, no. He had misenterpreted her. She was meaning to say that she swam in her undergarments, and she didn't want to get anywhere near naked near Zaniell. Yet.
She rubbed her temples, glad when he grinned. Good he wasn't serious. He needed to stop teasing her, though. It drove her nuts, and made her blush. She chewed on her lip. She didn't really want to swim now, seeing as how Zane had teased her and all, but sh didn't want to look like a coward.
She ran a hand through her hair, untying it from it's braid, the light brown locks falling lightly on her shoulders. Her grey eyes closed and she said, "I won't pass out, I assure you. I'm not some sort of weak-minded, susceptible girl." The susceptible part was a lie, and she knew it. She was about as susceptible to Zane's charms as it got.
In a flash of courage, Zera bounded off into a patch of trees, and took her dress of quickly, wading into the cool water. The water was shallow near the edges, so she moved into the lake a bit farther, making sure that she could see Zaniell.
She said, "It's your turn, now." Despite her previous courage, her cheeks were as red as they could be, and she was discreetly cobering her top half.

Zane shrugged with a stupid grin on his face as Zera said she wouldn't pass out. Hell, he didn't know. He hoped she wouldn't pass out... That wouldn't be too fun. He watched as the girl untied her hair from the braid. She was extremely pretty with her hair up, or down. Most girls would be jealous of that.
Zane held in a chuckle as the girl whipped away into the trees, quickly stripped then got into the water. She was so shy about it... He wondered why. They were just swimming. Though, he could tell from her red cheeks that he might not be doing just that.
The vampire had no trouble whipping off his own clothes, though he took his time. He slowly untied his cloak, folded it then put it on the ground. He slowly pulled off his worn boots, then slid off his pants. And there he was, in his dark underwear, and not a bit ashamed.
Zane jumped into the water, splashing it all over his chest. Eh, he didn't care. He dropped in the water and slowly backstroked to the Princess.

Zera closed her eyes when Zane began to undress. She was so nervous. She had reason to be, though. She regulated her breathing and ducked underwater, pushing her hair from her face as she resurfaced. Her hair didn't splay out in the water, so it covered some of her torso, clinging to her skin.
When she opened her eyes, The girl saw Zane standing on the banks, just short of being naked. Her cheeks flamed, and she chewed on the inside of her cheek. What had she gotten herself into? The girl didn't know yet, but it walked the line that hovered between Zera's hate and her love.
She became even more nervous when Zane came towards her, and she moved away, her nervousness getting the best of her. She could still touch the bottom, so she slowly moved backwards.
The pool didn't seem deep, and she didn't know how to swim. She was about to answer Zane when she hit a particularly deep area, making her head bob under. She came up coughing and found an area where it was shallow, and she laughed slightly, still coughing.

Zane popped out of the water as soon as he heard Zera sink. He was deep enough that only his chest was exposed in the open. Nothing new, she'd seen it before. He didn't want to make her blush anymore than she already had.
He rushed over to her and put his hand on her elbow, attempting to steady the girl. She may have been laughing about it, but Zane wasn't. The fact she was coughing up water made him nervous. What if she drowned? Zane could have been to late to help her. He didn't want to think of what could happen then.
"Are you okay, Zera?" His voice was practically overflowing with concern. "Do you not know how to swim?" |

Zera began to laugh when she had caught her breath and was through coughing. Her laugh was a silvery sound, and it wasn't too loud, given that she still hadn't completely caught her breath. She felt the need to laugh because her experience where she couldn't breathe left her with adrenaline pumping through her veins, leaving her hands shaky and herself on edge.
It was strange that Zera wasn't afraid of water, but even though she couldn't swim, she wasn't scared. Though, the times where she went under and choked on water did leave her a bit shaken up. She ran her hands through her hair, snagging a few tangles as she did so. She let out three more coughs before she answered Zaniell. The fact that he was worried- it was clear in his voice- kept her nervousness at bay.
The princess turned so that she was facing Zaniell. Her hair covered the majority of her chest, so she wasn't too self conscious at that moment. "I'm fine, Zane. A little waterlogged, but I'm fine." She bit her lip and said, "Yeah, I don't know how to swim..." She was almost ashamed to admit it.

Zaniell felt his heart begin to beat fast, at a normal pace for most humans. Usually his heart only beat a few times a minute, but now it was just thumping. God, was he that nervous that she could have been hurt? Yeah, he really was. It scared the hell out of him that she could be hurt, by nature itself, even!
Well, at least she was alright. Zane let out a sigh of relief, slowly dropping his hand from his elbow. His eyes trailed up the girl as he found his way to her eyes. It was a hard task, seeing how good she looked, though mostly covered. He may be a vampire, but he was still a man.
"It's okay to not know how to swim," Zane said softly, brushing a bit of wet hair off the girl's cheek. "I never learned while I was still human. It took me decades to actually get close enough to deep waters for swimming." He paused, his hand lingering on his cheek.
"It's fairly simple enough, if you want me to teach you?" |

Zera missed the feeling of Zane's hand clasped around her elbow the second he released her. She could tell that he was relieved that she was okay, given that she heard his sigh. She wondered why he was so worried. She was flattered that he cared so much.
She raised a brow as she watched his eyes trail up to hers, lingering on her body for a while. She would let him off the hook for that, seeing as how she was flattered. And how she was having difficulty keeping her eyes away from his body, too. She slightly leaned into his touch as he brushed some wet hair from her cheek.
So her captor didn't learn to swim as a human either? It took him decades?! She let her eyes widen slightly, allowing them to drop to his chest for a while. Hey, if he could look, she could look. All was fair in love and war.
"Perhaps you could teach me later on. I have plenty of time." She sank down deeper in the water.

Zane couldn't help but grin as the Princess' eyes trailed his own body. Well, they seemed to have something in common: Appreciation for a nice bod. And they were back to his face! And nope, down to the chest again. Not that he minded, as the obvious grin on his face said so.
"I'd love to," Zane said with a grin, following after her. He was getting to the point where it was almost uncomfortable to not be near her. Just a little touch, even to sweep the hair from her face again, would be enough for him.
Well, maybe. Zane's eyes drifted once more as he approached her. What could he say? He gently brushed his hand down the girl's arm.
"You're right; we have all the time in the world to learn how to swim... I say we just enjoy the water for now." |

Zera was glad that Zane didn't seem to mind when she looked at him. And not his eyes. She smiled when he said that he'd love to teach her. She was glad that he would enjoy it. She rubbed her eyes and yawned. She had become quite tired during the ride. The sun was nearly down, now.
She pulled her hands away from her eyes to see that Zane was coming towards her again, his eyes skimming over her figure. She nearly rolled her eyes. He wasn't trying to be discreet about his wandering eyes. Well, neither was she. She let her eyes drop to his chest once more before mentally scolding herself. She felt her cheeks heat up as he brushed his hand over her bare arm.
They did have all the time in the world. Well, at least all of the time in Zera's life. She let her face drop at the thought. The time that she would be alive would be like the bl
ink of an eye for Zane, wouldn't it? She shook off the thoughts quickly and put on a happy smile, trying to keep her negative thoughts to herself. She didn't want her captor to worry over something that couldn't be helped.
"Let's just enjoy the water." Her smile didn't reach her eyes, but it wasn't too noticeable. By the way that dark clouds hovered in the distance, Zera knew that it would storm that night.

Zane couldn't help but smile when Zera blushed. It was an innocent act, a natural reaction to him, and he loved it. It made the girl actually look her age, for once. Usually, she was so mature and sophisticated! He just liked the little things like this moment.
Let's just enjoy the water.
The vampire frowned when the girl repeated him. She didn't seem so excited anymore. What was wrong? He didn't know if he should ask about it or not. Perhaps he had said something wrong? Well, he surely hoped not. He hated seeing her upset, then trying to put on a strong face for him.
Zane raised his hand to cup Zera's cheek.
"Darling, is something bothering you?" |

Zera saw Zane frown, and she knew that his curiosity would be her downfall. He was so worried all the time. He was going to make himself sick. She kept her smile up, and she hoped that he wouldn't ask if anything was bothering her. She could always lie, or postpone telling him the answer, as she liked to call it.
She leaned into his touch when his hand cupped her cheek, and resisted blushing when he called her darling. She closed her eyes for a moment and placed her hand over his. She opened them to look back up at her vampire and sighed.
"I'm fine, Zane. I'm just feeling a bit light headed," she said. Well, it was true. She was feeling a bit light headed. The cool water was cooling her off a bit too fast, and the clouds that were rolling in made her nervous. "It'll pass soon. It happens all the time."
The girl gave her vampire a nice smile. "I think I should get out of the water before I shrivel up like a prune." She giggled slightly.
