[[Lol, I'm going with a village. It'll start in a tavern, since that's always fun :D

Sakura leaned back in his chair, feeling it jolt slightly when it hit the wall behind him. The local tavern was a good place to hang out. It was never seriously packed but there was enough people that you got to hear some interesting stories from all over. Plus, witnessing the occasional bar fight was always fun, even if he never joined in. Always watch and listen, never speak or act.

A young lady walked over to his table with a tray and sat a drink down in front of him, giving him a small smile. He smiled at her as well, causing her to giggle and retreat back to behind the counter, before picking the glas-s up and putting against his lips. He sipped the cool liquid, enjoying the way it felt on his throat, before setting it back down on the table, causing the ice to clink against the sides. He yawned slightly and crossed his arms, listening lazily to a man nearby talk about his latest fishing trip on the ocean.

Hikari watched as one of the bar maids returned to her station behind the counter giggling. she finished off another vodka at set it down on the bar next to three others. she thanked the bar man then left a tip. Hikari slid off the chair then slung her bag over her right shoulder and walked over to the free table next to a window. on the table one over was a boy, not much older than herself. he was a regular at the tavern like herself, although they never communicated

she was wondering weather or not to talk to him. although he seemed kind, he also seemed to have a cold aura about him, and wondered weather or not to get along. she gave in to temptation and decided that she would talk to him.

Crystal went over to the bar looked around, but didn't really want anything.  She glanced at Hikari and Sakura, then looked at the window.  Outside looked beautiful, or at least in her opinion.  She was usually social, but today she wasn't so social.  She usually likes to talk to people she sees.  She finally looked away from the window, and walked away from them.

What should I do today? She wondered.  She was bored.  Maybe I should talk to those two people..... maybe not.  She kept on looking around as if she were searching for a lost item.  Maybe I could eat something, or read?  But she was full, and she wasn't really in mood to read.

Hikari turned around to face the boy. "Hi, i noticed that we are both regulars here, but never talk." she said trying to be hospitable to the stranger. she felt like gesturing a hand shake to him, but felt that it wouldn't end well so she kept the handshake to herself. 

Hikari was normally very forward when introducing herself, but for some reason she found it difficult to introduce her self to this boy.

Sakura flicked his gaze over at Hikari. He recognized her. Most of the times when he saw her, she was drinking, but he didn't think he'd ever seen her drunk. He raised an eyebrow slightly. why was she introducing herself now of all times?

"Um, hello." he said simply, picking his drink up again and taking another sip. He kept the glas-s pressed against his lips. It was still cool and it felt good. It seemed a bit awkward for him to keep watching her like that, so he looked back down at the table, staring at a small hole that might have been from a nail or something.

Hikari watched as Sakura picked up his iced drink and sipped at it. she felt anxious. "So, err, it's nice here aint it?" she smiled covering up her anxiousness. usually full of questions, Hikari didn't know what to do. She removed a silver flask from her bag, took a swig, then whipped her mouth with the back of her hand. Not knowing what else to say, she slid down back into her chair. Well that was pointless. she sighed to herself.

Bored, Hikari drew her dagger from its scabbard and started sharpening the blade on her leather belt. she looked at a half reflection in the blade. she thought of her mother then sighed again.

Sakura sighed. It was pretty obvious how awkward they both felt. He shifted his chair slightly so it was leaning back against the wall more, almost to the point of looking in danger of falling, before holding his glas-s a little bit over his stomach. Water dripped down it's sides, falling down onto the exposed part of his stomach. It didn't bother him much and he didn't feel like sitting back up to put the glas-s down, so he just let it alone.

He tilted his head back, and looked at Hikari out of the corner of his eyes. "So how can you keep drinking like that?" he asked, hoping for an answer. It always bothered him whenever they were at the tavern together.

Hikari gave a sigh or relief. finaly having something to talk about. She returned the dagger to her scabbard and turned around. "My drinking? i only really drink vodka, but i guess it would happen with any alcohol." SHe realized she was rambling, but continued anyway. " Well, we could just say im hot headed." she laughed. "The burning most people say they when drinking even a trickle of vodka, dosn't occur with me." she glanced at the hole in his table then back at him. "Besides, when you dont have a proper home, you need something  to keep your spirits up." she paused and chuckled at the joke she made in her sentence. she realised she hadn't really answered his question, but hoped that her ramble wouldn't make him ask any further.

The truth was, because she was a hot headed, as she said, fire elemental, her body was like a torch inside and just boiled off the impurities it got to her liver or into her blood stream. she regulated her body temperature to work like that because she liked the bitter taste of the liquid, but also so it wouldn't destroy any food she ate.

"So, I have a question for you now." she said smirking. she was glad there was finally someone to talk too. "how come I see you in this bar as often as i'm here, yet never drin.." she couldn't finish her sentence, because someone else came over.

Sakura nodded quietly, even if her explanation didn't really make sense. She was rambling; he could tell, but he didn't really know why. He had expected the reason was simply that she had a high tolerance, but he had wanted to hear it from her. Now that she hadn't said that, it seemed odd to him.

He was about to push the question when he rounded the conversation on him. Something about her question made him turn his head towards her a little more, like he didn't want to let her out of his sight. He paled slightly as he realized what he question was, but thankfully, she stopped. He raised and eyebrow. Why had she stopped? He followed her gaze and noticed another person.

"Oh..." he mumbled, not really sure what else to say. Usually, no one talked to him and now suddenly two had approached him in the same day. How odd. 

"...... Nevermind." Crystal said as she left.  Boy was that scary.  Scarier than usual, usually it's easy to approach people.  She thought.  Both of them scared her slightly although she didn't know why.  She decided to try again so she walked back to them.  "I'm bored today.' She said.  She lacked a good statement or question.

Hikari gripped the corner of her table out of shock. she wasn't used to other people being so forward with her first she felt it unusual. she glanced over at the boy then back at the blue haired girl who had approached them, she blinked then stuttered. "err - oh - yea, yes, it is nice outside." hikari replied, watching as she left, not actually thinking about the weather, instead just agreeing with the girl. 

Hikari wrinkled her nose. she could smell something burning. she rotated her head to locate where the smell was coming from. it was from underneath her hand on the corner of the table. Hikari hesitated. "Oh, Hell." she yelled in frustration. she shifted her hand to reveal the smouldering wood underneath it. she cursed again then quickly removed a large piece of cloth and a leather flask, only this one contained water, she soaked the cloth then dampened the smouldering table. 

Hikari packed everything away. and excused herself. she watched as several eyes followed her including the bar maid from before and showed herself out of the tavern. when she got out side she slunk down against the wall. "Shoot, i was really starting to like that place." she told herself then sighed.
