As they turned a corner they could see in the distance bricks that looked oddly out of place and what looked like a skull-a tiny wall of the catacombs jutting through the sewer tunnel, meaning they were very close to them.

(Darn it! How did she know! Now her surprise birthday present is ruined! XD)
In the shadows of the sewer something large moved above Ebony, another drop of drool escaping from it's maw. It resembled a human-but resemblance was all it had, with it's severely mutated and warped bones and furry hide and massive fangs-it was some sort of horrific Beast Man-a Rat Man. The creature screeched, a terrified high-pitched noise that would make a dog pass out. Suddenly a massive rodent-like hand shot out of the water, it's clawed fingers snatching Wharshin's ankle and trying to pull him into the water.

The BeastMan's hand flew clean off. The Rat mutant screamed and launched itself out of the water, slamming Wharshin to the wall, pinning his sword arm and both his legs against the wall with his 'hand and feet'. He screeched and started biting at Wharshin's face with his huge sharp fangs. The other RatMan dropped from the ceiling trying to body-slam onto Ebony.

Ebony exploded into her dragon form a split second before the Ratman hit her.
A small flame sprang from Wharshin's palm and into the Beastman's face and was quickly followed by a lightning fast slash from the talons on his hands.

The Rat Man screeched and dived backwards into the water-without letting go of Wharshin.
The Rat Man landed on Ebony and squealed and shrieked, confused and frightened. It slashed at Ebony with it's claws as it tried to scurry away in fear.
