Venus cringed as the arrows struck his leathery skin, one at a time. This feline was not an amateur at aiming. His attack was ready, he inhaled deeply and spat acid out with all his might. However, at the last moment, an arrow hit him in the eye, and he roared in pain, sending the acid up and dissolving the chain barrier. The cat would easily be able to escape!

Alice smirked at her luck, disposing of the shield and putting the bow in the pack with the arrows so it wouldn't they wouldn't her down and nimbly climbing up to where the barrier had been melted.  She barely avoided some of it getting on her tail as she slid out into the open.  She looked around, the realization of being free taking a few seconds to set in.  When it did a smile spread across her face and she let out a happy cry as she shot off.
