Dingopaw followed Hawkeye the whole time, keeping a few mouse-tails away from the deputy every time. He said a quick good-morning to the three other cats that Hawkeye called for the patrol then when the deputy stopped at the medicine cat's den, the apprentice couldn't help but pad forward to see the two cats who were starting to wake up. He tilted his head slightly to the right when one of the cats exclaimed that she was a cat. "Yeah, you're a cat." He replied in a confused tone. "Haven't you been your whole life? Maybe when you got hurt you hit your head or something." He thought out loud to himself quietly. ~~~~~~ Thomas eyes oppened more fully now and the first thing he saw were cats. Cats? He thought and wondered where he was. And where was Elisabeth? He struggled to get up but every part of him seemed to ache. With a sigh he looked down and was preparing to pa$$ out again until he saw the paws. And fur. His eyes widened and he lifted his head, his eyes moving around in a crazy way. "W-What happend?" He asked to no one in particular. "Where am I?" That's when he started looking around and looking at the other cats. They looked as tall as him, and a few were even slightly taller than him.

Leafgust felt concerned. "Hmm, could they have suffered some damage in the head? But it's strange to not even rmember WHAT one are. And it looks like the second cat has the same words to say as the female cat." Elisabeth felt more and more scared, and couldn't hold her thoughts. "You're wrong, we're humans! HUMANS!" Rivertail tilted her head. "Humans? Never heard of." Elisabeth sighed. "Those creatures that stand on two legs? Are bigger than cats? Have machines?" Hawkeye felt his chin drop. "Wait, you mean TWOLEGS?!" Elisabeth thought she had gotten her point across, so she nodded. "Great, must be a kittypet that has been brainwashed." Said Swiftbite. Then the Starclan cat was in the den. "I'm sorry to say this, but they are telling the truth, they're twolegs." Hawkeye couldn't believe his ears. "So you're saying this was the prophecy, this was what the stars told you?" He nodded. "There is something else too, but I couldn't get it clear." Swiftbite lunged at the cat. "You could have TOLD us!!" Rivertail shouted; "Swiftbite, STOP!!! Don't kill him!"

Howlstar stirred and blinkded open his eyes. No dreams at all. With a sigh, he heaved himself up on his paws and stretched his hind legs. With a yawn, he trotted out of his den and found himself trotting toward the medicine cat's den, in time to see one of the clan's warriors lunge at the StarClan cat. Howlstar's fur stood in alarm and he dashed over to the cats near the medicine cat's den. "Swiftbite, get of him." He ordered. "What are you doing?" ~~~~~~ Thomas watched one of the cats lunge at another cat. What was that cat doing? He shook his head, still finding himself unable to think straight, and then his attention wandered over to the gray female cat near him. He felt his ear flick and then asked, "Elisbeth, is that you?"

Swiftbite was interrupted. He respected the clan the most. "...he could have told us.." Hawkeye walked over to Swiftbite and said. "Get out of here, go back to your den for the time being." Swiftbite walked slowly away, and one could see the Starclan cat shaking violently. "Now that that's solved, we should have a look at these two." Hawkeye said. "Rivertail, could you go talk to them?" "T-thomas?! Is that you?!" Elisabeth whispered. The cat beside her was him, this was to much of a coincidence to just be a dream. She were interrupted by one of the cats, that sat herself in front of them. "Hi, my name is Rivertail, what's your name?" The cats have names too? "M- my name is Elisabeth, and this is Thomas.." Rivertail tilted her head. "Strange names, are all twoleg names like that? Anyway, how old are you? You look young." Elisabeth felt actually a little comfortable with this cat, she was friendly. "16 years" "..huh? Do you mean 16 moons? You don't look that old." "No, no. I think what you call moons.. is months for us humans, so, we must be.. 192 moons." All the cats got startled. "192 moons?! That's WAY to old for any cat to live!" Elisabeth realized that cats have much shorter life spans. "That's human age, in cat years it is.. um, 11 moons maybe." Rivertail nodded. That seemed much more reasonable. She turned to Thomas. "Tell me a little about yourself."

"Yeah, it's me.." Thomas replied. He moved his paws as he looked down at them and then tried sitting up. He still felt weak and unbalanced so he was unsuccessful a few times, but eventually he was sitting upright with his back slouched slightly. He gave a small nod of his head when Elisbeth mentioned his name and then looked at Rivertail when she turned to him. "Well, I'm sixteen years old, too, so I supose I could also be eleven monthes. Uh, I mean moons." He glanced behind him and felt rather strange to be able to control his new tail. "Do you know why we're cats?" He asked.

Elisabeth realized that it felt awkward just lying on the moss. So she tried to stand up, wobbly, because she had four legs to stand on now. Rivertail nodded at a yellow cat, the one that had been attacked. "Um, well.. I'm from a clan called Starclan, we recieve messages and prophecys from our ancestors, by looking at the stars. I had gotten a message from them that said something like: Twolegs shall become of the four legged, and they shall fulfill their duty. I realized when I heard about you, that you must have been the twolegs. But the stars wouldn't just do something like that without a reason, so there must be something in store for you too.." Elisabeth had a hard time taking it all in. Cats that could read stars and prohecys? Was this the real life of cats? They seemed to have such EASY lives.. But now.. All discussions was interrupted by Hawkeye, or rather his belly, that growled violently. "Sounds like somebody is hungry!" Rivertail said with a smile.

Thomas groaned and shook his head. "I can't believe this is happening." He muttered and wanted to bury his head in his hands but instead lifted his front paws from the ground and falling from not being able to balance. He let out a hiss of annoyance then straightend up. He glanced at one of the cats whose belly had growled loudly. "So if you live out here," he said slowly. "Do you eat, like, mice? And other small animals that live around here?"

"Yes.." Hawkeye said with a sigh. This would be even harder than to train a kit. "We should go hunt soon, but before that, I think Howlstar should give you new names, he's our leader, the cat beside me here. It would feel really odd to call you names that sound like kittypet names." Hawkeye turned to Howlstar. "What should we do with them? It's your choice." Then he whispered: "I'm not sure if they would be able to manage as warriors." Elisabeth tried to pitch in in the conversasion, but it was hard, she had a tough time balancing her tail, and she heard and smelled so much more now, she was distracted.

Howlstar thought for a moment. "I'll let them stay here," he whispered back to Hawkeye. "If they want to that is." He padded forward to speak to Elisabeth and Thomas. "Would you two like to stay here and train to be warriors?" He asked them in a calm tone, and then added, "If not, then I supose we could let you rest here for a while and then you can go back to where ever you live."

Elisabeth thought about it, she thought about her family. They had never really cared about her, and made her feel invisible, they were so separated from each other. But she felt a kind warmth from these cats, and she felt that she could trust them. She would have a messy life if she went back as a cat, so.. "I think I'll stay here, but it will take some time bfore I get used to all of this, so be patient with me.." She looked at Thomas. "How about you, Thomas?" She would feel very lonely if Thomas left, she would be the only human here, so she hoped that he wanted to stay.

Thomas glanced at Elisbeth then thought. The only family he knew was his father, and he wasn't exactly the kind of person Thomas wanted to be with anymore, with all his drinking and probably not caring if his son decided to go rob a bank or something. Nodding slowly, Thomas felt himself flick his tail. "All right, I'll stay, too." He decided. "And even though I don't exactly like my life as a human, it could still be hard for me to believe this isn't a dream." ~~~ Howlstar gave a nod to the two cats who claimed to be humans. "Cats in the clan don't have names like twolegs'," he explained. "They have names like Rivertail here, or like the clan's deputy which is Hawkeye. This apprentice here is Dingopaw, and my name is Howlstar by the way." He added. "So would you two be willing to have me change your names into something like ours?"

Elisabeth felt her body gain energy, and her ears and tail perked up. She was excited. "I would like a new name, please." She had never really liked her name, she had thought it was uncomfortable, so she had nothing against gaining a new name. She wondered if she would get to choose, or how the whole thing went. She looked once again at all the cats, their faces showing emotions, Elisabeth had always wondered how animals felt. All this was interrupted by Leafgust. "Uh, yeah. It's fun that we will get new members and all, but could you PLEASE do this somewhere ELSE?! I have things to do, and thanks to Swiftbite going mouse brain the place is upside down!" Hawkeye felt a little embarras-sed, they had, after all just walked in, and the whole den was filled whith cats now.

Howlstar turned his attention to Leafgust then he dipped his head. "Oh, sorry about that, Leafgust." He said to her then beckoned all the cats around to get out. But before he padded out, he turned to Elisbeth and Thomas. "Can you to get up and walk outside?" He asked, tilting his head sightly. ~~~ Dingopaw turned around and fled from the medicine cat's den, for some reason there was a small smile on his face. Was it from knowing that there were going to be two new cats in the clan? Or from knowing that he may have two denmates in the apprentices' den so he wouldn't have to sleep alone. If Howlstar decided to make those two cats apprentices, of course, and not warriors yet. ~~~ Mistpaw watched the cats go out then started fixing up any moss or herbs that weren't supose to be in the places they are now. "If you don't mind me asking, Leafgust," Mistpaw murmured as she pushed some extra moss into a pile. "Have you had any dream from StarClan about all this?" ~~~~ Thomas looked down at his legs. How strange it felt now that he had four of them. "I think I can." He replied than got up onto his paws. He seemed wobbly, and he just realized a slight aching area on the side of his leg, but he could handle it. He walked forward and stubled a bit, guessing he looked pretty silly stumbling on his own paws, but after a few moments he got the hang of it.

Leafgust face ex pression turned surprised at first. "No, I still dream about.. ..." Her face turned sad, and she went to another part of the den to get the moss and put it in order. Elisabeth started walking without a word. She walked very slowly, so she wouldn't trip and fall. She smiled a little when she saw Thomas struggling with putting his paws right, she couldn't avoid thinking that it looked a little fun. When they were out of the den, ahe looked around her, baffled by the camps beauty. Everything looked much more bigger and beatiful, she had never seen anything like this when she had been human. They pas-sed a den, and she saw the black cat that had been shouting, staring at her with eyes that made her legs feel weak. She wouldn't want to be with him without somebody else around. Rivertail saw Elisabeths legs getting wobbly. "Don't worry, if you feel weak, you can support yourself on me." Elisabeth smiled. "Thank you, I'm fine right now."

Thomas found himself looking around the rest of the clan's camp in amazement. Who knew cats could actually live like this. He finally managed to walk on all of his four paws and then turned to his attention back to Howlstar, who had stood on a tall ridge. What was he doing up there? ~~~ Howlstar looked down from the ridge, suddenly remembering the first time he climbed this ridge when he just became leader. "The round sure is far from up here," he had said, but now he felt comfortable from up there. It was probably one of his favorite spots. He shook his slightly then made sure Elisabeth and Thomas was outside the medicine cat's den before calling, "Let all cats old enough to catch their prey gather below the ridge!" It felt nice to say those words again. It had been a while since there was something important to tell the clan. ~~~ Dingopaw looked up at the ridge Howlstar stood then sat down at an area close to the center of camp. I wonder what Howlstar will name them. He thought and rested his tail on his front paws. He glanced to his right and saw Wolfstorm and Spottedfur trot away from the warriors' den and take there place in two different spots. Wolfstorm sat down under a tree with shade, while Spottedfure stayed closer to the ridge for a good view probably.

Swiftbite walked reluctantly to the ceremony. He had made a fool out of himself, and didn't want to be seen, but he had to go. He sat far back, and watched. Elisabeth was a little confused, and was afraid to embaras-s herself, so she stood still till Howlstar said otherwise. Sunfire heard this, and wondered what was going on. He trotted to the voices, and saw two unfamiliar cats stand and wait. Was something going to happen to them? He sat and smiled, curiously twitching his ear. He saw Leafgust go out of her den, watching everything on a distance.

After finishing with the last few mixed up herbs, Mistpaw padded out of the medicine cat's den and sat down a few paces away from the entrance. Her tail was swishing left to right in excitement. ~~~ When Howlstar thought he had the clan's attention he thought about what he should say for a few heartbeats. "I'm sure some of you already know about the two new cats here in camp," he began and motioned to Elisabeth and Thomas with his tail. "But for those of you who don't, they had been found unconcious by the cliffs that had fallen yesterday by Hawkeye, Swiftbite and Wolfstorm." Howlstar paused for a moment before continuing, "When they had come to, I asked them if they wanted to join our clan, and they accepted. So now, I shall give them their warrior names." He quickly made his way down the ridge and stopped infront of the closest cat to him, which was Thomas. "Thomas, do you promise to reject the life of a kittypet or defend and protect this clan, even at the cost of your life?" ~~~ Thomas began feeling nervous as Howlstar padded up to him. He listened to the leader of the clan for a moment and honestly did not know what to say. "I.. do..?" He answered hesitantly, some of thoughts about the part of defending the clan at the cost of his life. Howlstar never mentioned that until now.. ~~~ Howlstar twitched his whiskers slightly in amusement as he gave a nod. "Then from now on, you shall be known as Ashpaw. I welcome you to our clan." He then moved over to Elisabeth. Stopping infront of the she-cat, he said the same thing. "Elisabeth, do you promise to reject the life of a kittypet or defend and protect this clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Elisabeth looked at all the cats. Their eyes almost glowing. She thought about what kind of life it would be here, and that things would be much more rough, violent and serious than before.. But she realized that this was not a bad world at all, the cats here had to kill to survive, humans could kill out of pure spite or entertainment. She didn't want to be a part of that. "I promise to protect the clan." She said with a proud voice, she felt like she was on top of the world right now. Sunfire was surprised, but it was a happy surprise. Two new cats, they really needed it. From his days, the clans numbers had dropped in an alerting speed. But now it felt more steady, especially with the two cats. He wanted to talk to them after this, know how they are.

Howlstar gave a nod. "Then from now on, you shall be known as Runningpaw. I welcome you to the clan." He took a step back and pricked his ears up at the sound of two cats. One coming from the medicine cat's den, and another from behind him. ~~~ Dingopaw was swishing his tail happily as he said "Runningpaw! Ashpaw!" like what the clan did when a cat got a new name. He wouldn't have to sleep alone in the apprentices' den anymore, since there were two new apprentices. ~~~ "Runningpaw! Ashpaw!" Mistpaw chanted happily. The clan's number w*censored* dropping and two cats would be a good addition. Although she couldn't help but wonder what StarClan thought about these two cats joining their clan.

Rivertail was happily shouting their names over and over again. She wondered though who would get to mentor these two. She hoped that Howlstar would avoid Swiftbite, it was pretty obvious that he wasn't happy with this change. She saw Sunfire, and talked to him. "Hi Sunfire, nice with some new cats here?" He smiled, like he always did. "Yes, I always like it when new cats come, it's nice to get to know them." Swiftbite were quiet, he didn't like to shout all that much. He saw Hawkeye walk towards him, but he avoided him and sat himself next to Dingopaw, while feeling pretty bitter. Leafgust watched the two cats being as happy as if they had never been happy before, they made her think back to that day when she became an apprentice, she was so glad to be mentored by.. The name of the cat made her eyes lose all their eagerness, she felt sad, but tried not to show it. Elisabeth, or Runningpaw that she had to get used to now, was surprised by all the cats chanting her and Tho- Ashpaws new names. She felt happy, and if she had been human now, she would probably have blushed because of all the attention.
