Oakfeather frowned at him. "Windpaw," he began. "Limefeather doesn't want to be a warrior. She said she's going to..." he sucked in a deep breath. "Well, she's going to retire into the Elder's den permanently, apparently."

Wolfstar nodded silently, pressing his flank against her's as he watched over the clan. His ears flicked, but he said nothing.

Windpaw shook his head, "She's way too young ot call it quits." he said firmly, "she sabout the same age as Moonsong and Cougarfeather, and she deserves a second chance at life." He hissed.

Moonsong's absentmindedly twined her tail with Wolfstar's, beginning to lose herself in thought.

Oakfeather shrugged. "She doesn't want another chance, though." He added with a chuckle, "you go ahead and try to tell her that, AND keep your ears at the same time."

Wolfstar purred loudly, and stared down at the clearing. Life was good; for him at least.

Lionpaw groomed herself in silence, looking up at Moonsong and Wolfstar happily for only a moment. 

Windpaw shrugged, "Like i said, everyone deserves a second chance, it doesnt matter what she wants. She should become a warrior, if not for herself, for Snakepaw and Poppypaw." he muttered.

Oakfeather sunk his claws into the dirt. "Snakepaw's anti-social and unfriendly, for one," he hissed under his breath, "And for two, Poppypaw doesn't exactly like her mother. So, no, she shouldn't have to do anything for the little brats." He bristled; obviously he wasn't fond of his nephew and niece.

Windpaw laughed, "touche. But still, some instincts will always make you love your mother. I barely remember mine but I still wish she had been here to see me become an apprentice, and I wish she would be here when I become a warrior. Even though I know she is already watching." He said, smiling to himself.

Cougarfeather padded toward the warriors den for a quick nap. She walked past Oakfeather and brushed against him gently as if by accident.

Oakfeather grumbled, "Discussion over." A chill ran up his spine when Cougarfeather brushed against him, and he stared after her for a moment. Then he started to pad into the warrior's den behind her, leaving Windpaw behind, tail tip twitching a little.

Sablrpaw stood up shakily, and started to hobble towards the apprentice's den. She unsheathed her claws, digging them into the ground in an attempt to keep her balance.

Lionpaw curled up in a ball, fur absorbing sunlight, and started to purr gently to herself.

Poppypaw clawed at her moss nest unhappily, eyes flaring, until she fell asleep

Snakepaw sat down, sweeping his tail around his paws. He stared into the small river he'd grown fond of, and smiled lightly to himself. His fur burned with sunlight.

Cougarfeather lay down in her nest and smiled as Oakfeather padded into the den, "hi there." she purred, "how is Limefeather feeling?" she asked.

Feralwind slid over to Sablepaw's side and supported her with his shoulder, "careful there." he purred.

___

Windpaw sighed and padded away, laying in the sun not far from Lionpaw, flexing his sleek muscles and sighing in contentment.

Lionpaw lifted her head slightly to look at him for a moment, then set it back on the ground. "Nice day out," she commented lightly.

Sablepaw blinked, and frowned. "M-My balance is off today," she muttered. "Something wrong with my head or something..." She pressed herself against him, which helped her balance.

Oakfeather curled up beside her. "She's...a little better I guess." He yawned, blinking at her. "Shaky, mad, upset and moody. But that's how she usually is I guess," he chuckled a little bit.

Cougarfeather shrugged, "So is she going to become a warrior? I expect she wont, seen as how she always wanted to be a Medicine Cat." she shook her head sadly.

Feralwind smiled, "Wishpaw mentioned that when I took her hunting earlier." he said.

Windpaw lifted his head, "It hasnt rained in a while though. I kind of wish it would before all the plants dry out and the prey leaves." he said with a sigh.

Sablepaw nodded, head bobbing slowly. "J-just not feeling well. I wonder what's wrong?" Her fur burned where he toucched her, but it wasn't a bad feeling.

"I like rain," Lionpaw mewed. "When I was a rogue, my favourite thing to do was run in the rain. It's relaxing and soothing." She yawned, tail flicking on the ground.

Oakfeather only nodded, pressing himself against her. "She refuses. I tried to talk her into it...but she won't leave the elder's den." He frowned.

Feralwwind sighed, "I'd say go to Dreamsplash, but I don't think thats a good idea, not untill everything calms down." he said, skaing his head.

Windpaw yawned, "rain is only good when its dry." he meowed.

____

Cougarfeather thought for a moent, feeling warm where Oakfeather touched her, "well, maybe if she saw the benefits of being a warrior...." she trailed off.

Adderstrike dangled one paw in the stream, what was wrong with him? First, Finchtail left him, and now, Limefeather wouldnt even talk to him. She was the only friend he had in the clan, and now, he didnt even want to train her son. He didnt want to do anything. Just lay here forever.

Sablepaw nodded, and paused in front of the apprentice den. "I think I'll lay outside," she mumbled. "It's nice out today."

Lionpaw only nodded absentmindedly and continued soaking up the sun's warmth.

Oakfeather shrugged. "Time will tell," he mumbled.

Snakepaw saw something glittering in the water, and eyes round he started to wade in to see what it was. Not paying attention and thinking about his weight verses the strength of the current, he was swept right off of his feet sideways. He yowled, thrashing around. His head bobbed under the water, and he came back up sputtering for air.

His claws met a smooth rock jutting out of the water, and he struggled to cling onto it. He slipped and slided. "Help!" he wailed, shivering. His fur was plastered to his body. "Help!"

( Omg. o3o Adderstrike should go to save him. )

Adderstrike say Snaepaw not far up the stream/river. He sighed and loped over there, "Hold On, I will be right there!" he callde to his apprentice, leaing into the frigid water. He forced his way through the water and snatched his apprentice by the scruff of his neck, "you okay?" he asked tough a mouthful of fur as he fought to get back to s*censored*. He stepped up on a rack, and could Immeadeately feel it slippiing. His eyes widened in shock and he flung Snakepaw to the riverbank as te rock below him gave way and he slid into the current. he fough to keep his head above water, his struggled growing weaker and weaker. He found a foothold in the pebbly sand and dragged himself as*censored*, immredeately colashing with a groan, coughing up water.

Cougarfeather nodded, "lets hope she decides to leave the Elder's den eventually." she sighed.

Feralwind twitched his ears, "do you want to go to somewhere with some shade, its rather hot out here." he suggested.

Snakepaw hobbled to Adderstrike's side, and nosed him gently. He coughed up water, pain wracking through his tiny body, but shoved it off. His nose pressed into the side of Adderstrike's face. "Please don't be dead," he mewled. "A-Adderstrike? A-Are you o-okay?" His teeth were clattering, and he was already starting to freeze.

Sablepaw flicked his ears with her tail. "Good Idea," she mumbled drowsily. "How about near the nursery? It's pretty shady there."

Oakfeather set his tail tip over his nose. "Mhmm," he mumbled, closing his eyes sleepily.

Adderstrike opened his eyes, "Of course I'm okay. Why wouldnt I be?" he croaked, rising shakily to his feet, coughing up more water. He began to shake his fur dry in a doglike manner, but it made his head spin. He sat down with a groan and closed his eyes.

Feralwind nodded, "sure, lets go." he led her over to the nursery. Once in the shade, he lay down with a yawn.

Sablepaw curled up next to Feralwind, trying to ignore her pounding headache. she purred softly, closing her eyes.

Snakepaw mewled, and leaned against Adderstrike's legs. His fur was starting to spike in different directions, but even as it dried he was still freezing. "S-s-s-s-s" He tried again. "S-s-sorry."
