Windpaw Stood as tall as he could and glowered at Poppypaw, "what are you doin?" he snarled, "you don't attack Clanmates." he hissed.

Feralwind nodded, "not too long until you become a warrior, then you can forget about cleaning the elders den, and taking orders from warriors!" he said wtih a laugh.

Cougarfeather noded, "dont let him see you yet, I want to see what hes up to." she meowed.

__

Moonsong I used to get out through a little gap by the Warriors den, it was too small for a warrior, but perfect size for an apprentice.

__

Adderstrike rolled his eyes, "watch out Medicine Cat, you might find that a warrior is a little too much for you to challenge." he teased, not trying to fight back yet.

{ Ohhhh. xD My bad. }

Poppypaw retorted smoothly, "Clanmates don't wear collars," she spat the word like venom.

Sablepaw chuckled. "Yeah. And I won't have to listen to bossy furballs like you anymore." She nudged his shoulder playfully.

Wolfstar nodded. "We'll have to watch over that, then." He frowned. "But Snakepaw is so small; he could easily fit in any space."

Limefeather snorted. "I'm not challenging you," she meowed, smirking down at him. Her heart thudded in her chest. "And I'm not a Medicine Cat, you stupid furball."

Oakfeather only nodded, drawing closer to the apprentice. He could see Snakepaw; he was sitting there, totally motionless, facing the other way. All of a sudden his ear. swivelled towards him. 

"I can smell you," Snakepaw said slowly, not turning around. "And I can hear you too. Come out, Oakfeather. You too, Cougarfeather." Oakfeather was stunned.

Cougareatehr chuckled, "why am I not suprised." she muttered, then her face grew serious, "what are you doing out here alone?" she hissed angrily.

Adderstrike laughed, "If you arent looking for a fight, then why did you tackle me?" he asked,

__

Moonsong thought for a moment, "how small? Thats something sounds cant tell you. But I did notice his footsteps were very soft and quiet." she said.

__

Feralwind sighed dramatically, "what will you do without the orders of bossy furballs? you will be oh-so bored." he said with a laugh.

__

Windpaw pinned back his ears, "clanmates dont have Medicine Cats as mothers." he snapped back, lashing his tail. He knew this one would cut her deep.

Limefeather rolled her eyes. "I can get off, if you want." She smirked, looking at him. "And I didn't tackle you."

Snakepaw looked at her and Oakfeather. "I could ask the pair of you the same thing," he said slowly, sounding moons more than his age.

Oakfeather only sat in silence, burning under his fur.

Wolfstar flicked his ears. "He's about the size of a four-moon-old kit," he said. "He's very slight, too. But I think he mighr be the sneakiest, quickest cat in the clan."

Sablepaw sighed back. "I dunno. I think I'd have to go hunting with you!" she rolled her eyes and acted like that would killed her. She chuckled.

"Clanmates don't take a rogue as a mate," she snarled, ears pinned to her head as her gold eyes flamed.  "Clanmates don't defend a rogue over a Clancat. Clanmates are at least so decent that they don't roll around in the dust with a kittypet!"

Lionpaw shrunk back, eyes watering. Guilt flooded over her, along with confusion, anger and some cold emotion that made her want to rip otu Poppypaw's throat. "CLANMATES DON'T FIGHT LIKE THIS!" she yowled, cutting off their angry voices. "What are you, kits?"

She snapped at Poppypaw. "You shut your jealous trap. I happen to like my collar. It takes twice the warrior to wear it and be proud!" She whirled on Windpaw. "And I don't need you to defend me!"

She spun around and stalked out of the apprentice's den, leaving Poppypaw staring wide-eyed after her.

Windpaw lashed his tail, "what is your problem Poppypaw? Who ever said Lionpaw was my mate?" he snarled, "and she's not a rouge anymore. She's a SwiftClan apprentice, just like you." he hissed.

Feralwind laughed, "And thats so bad because?" He thought for a moment, "Oh yeah, you will be jealoud of my awesomeness!" he teased.

__

Moonsong laughed, "I was always a tiny kit. And it's pretty easy to be sneaky when you're as light as a mouse." she purred, "but what color is his fur? My fur made it hard to hide in the shadows." she recalled that her fur was as white as the snow, ecxept for the crescent-moon shaped marking on her forhead.

__

Cougarfeatehr rolled her eyes, "What gived you the right to ask questions?" she countered, "But if you must know, we are on patrol." she hissed.

__

Adderstrike rolled, knocking Limefeather over and pinning her down, "Tell you what. I will let you up when you agree to become a warrior." he teased.

Wolfstar mumbled, "He's black, with a golden tail tip and bright green eyes like Limefeather." He stared distantly ahead.

Poppypaw growled, "I am nothing like that no-good back-stabbing kittypet." Her voice was edged like a knife. She sunk her unsheathed claws into her nest.

Sablepaw rolled her eyes and jabbed him in the ribs with her paw. "Oh, yeah, right!"

Snakepaw looked at her evenly. "Free will," he countered. He cocked his head to the side only slightly, a cold smile on his face. "Patrol? That's it?" He snickered. "If that was the case, Oakfeather wouldn't be burning under his fur right now."

Oakfeather mumbled, "I'm just feeling feverish..."

Limefeather sighed, loosing her mood. Her eyes met his with disappointment. "We'll be here forever then," she mumbed. Not like I mind...

Moonsong nodded," then it will be easy for him, like it was for me in Leaf-bare." she moewed, "lets just hoped he doesnt hurt himself.

Windpaw snorted, "what did she ever do to you?" he asked.

__

Feralwind laughed, "see! I told you so." he purred.

__

Cougarfeather lashed her tail, "who died and made you leader? You arent allowed to leave camp without a warrior. You're lucky Wolfstar is a nice cat." she ignored his last comment, her feeling for Oakfeather were none of his business.

Adderstrike laughed, "Oh really now?" he teased, leaning down and nipping her ear, "I think I can make you give in." he said arrogantly.

Poppypaw's voice was low and brutal. "She was born." she snarled.

Sablepaw only rolled her eyes and pressed against him for warmth.

_______

Snakepaw stood up and let his gaze boil. "Nobody," he spun around added harshly, "YET." He padded towards camp, tail floating through the air after him.

Oakfeather shivered

Wolfstar only nodded, pressing himself against her for comfort.

Limefeather chuckled. "Is that so? Remember that so I can poison you in your sleep." Her back feet dug into his stomach and she kicked him off, twisting so she could slip away. She licked her paw and drew it over her ear.

Windpaw rolled his eyes, "grow up Poppypaw. You know, I was really starting to like you. I guess my afections were misplaced." he snapped, talk lashing.

Cougarfeather rolled her eyes, "want to head back to camp?" she asked Oakfeather, pressing her nose against his flank.

__

Adderstike laughed, "you enjoy my company too much." he purred.

__

Feralwind absentmindedly let his tail intertwine itself with Sablepaws.

"Guess your brain was too," Poppypaw muttered, feeling pain flash through her for less than a moment. She sheathed her claws.

Oakfeather sighed. "I guess." He nudged her, and started to follow after the little black apprentice.

Limefeather rolled her eyes and looked at him over her shoulder. "Yes, but I don't enjoy your ego."

Sablepaw purred, her stomach feeling light and fluttery.

Snakepaw slipped into camp, eyes darting from side to side. He speezed into the apprentice's den in silence, ignoring Windpaw and Poppypaw.

Wolfstar watch Snakepaw in silence. He frowned.

Cougarfeatehr walked beside Oakfeather, leaning on his slightly.

Adderstrike chuckled and nudged her with his shoulder, "well last time I checked, its not going anywhere." he said.

__

Windpaw rolled his eyes and spun, padding out of the den angrily, he had ignored Snakepaw frostily and walked right past Wishpaw, who watched him nervously, but didnt say a word.

Oakfeather purred huskily, tail flickering from side to side nervously as he caught a fresh whiff of fox again. "...Cougarfeather..?" was all he mewed, but his intentions were clear. It reeked strongly of fox.

Limefeather rubbed her head on his shoulder. "And neither am I," she mewed softly.

Adderstrike caught a quick breath and felt a purr rumble in his chest.((fail XD))

Cougarfeather glanced around nervously, smelling the fox, "thats the one that attacked Lionpaw." she hissed quietly, "it is so close to camp, do you think it followed out scents?" she whispered.

Oakfeather nodded, frowning. "We have two options," he rumbled. "We can go seek it out and attack. Possibly hurting or killing ourselves." He sucked in a deep breath and added, "Or option two, we go back to camp, and possibly lead the fox right into the camp, and risk injuries and deaths." His ears flicked.

Limefeather purred huskily and blinked, guilt finally settling in her brain. She stiffened and drew away from Adderstrike slowly, trying not to hurt his feelings.

Snakepaw sat in silence and wondered whether or not to go back and talk to Wishpaw. Bu this mind was at war with itself.

On one hand, Wishpaw was a young, pretty she-cat whom he was close to and trusted. She was his only friend and possibly more than that even...

On another, there was Dreamsplash. The dark, mystery-shrouded she-cat who seemed to know things about him he didn't know himself. And just the fact that she was off limits seemed to draw him towards her.

He sighed heavily.

Cougarfeather shuddered, "there are many young apprentices and camps, and I would give up my life for them any day." she hissed, "I've fought this fox before, and me and Moonsong managed just fine." she said, flexing her claws.

Adderstrike's mind snapped into focus, "so do you think I could retrain you as a warrior?" he asked quietly, "Windpaw is definately ready to become a warrior." he twitched his tail.

__

Moonsong twitched her ears, "so where do you think I should start training with Lionpaw?" she asked Wolfstar, "shes kind of my first apprentice and its not like she's lacking fighting skills."

Wolfstar chuckled. "The only thing you really need to teach here is the territory. And perhaps tell her the warrior code." He flicked his ears and glanced at the sky. "She doesn't need any training in fighting or hunting; she is a promising young she-cat."

Limefeather shrugged, frowning. "I'm too old to become an apprentoice," she muttered. "And I don't know if I'd be too welcome in the warrior den anyways." She clawed at the ground absent-mindedly.

Oakfeather only chuckled, glancing towards where the fox's trail led. "It can't be too far," he mumbled. "If we're quick we can catch it before..." He stopped and froze. "What if the fox followed Snakepaw's trail?" His eyes got a little wider. 

Moonsong nodded, "she has definate potential. And she could have many friends, if everyone wasnt so judgemental."

Adderstike snorted, "I'd like anyone to say your not." he flexed his claws.

__

Cougarfeatehr lashed her tail, "let's hope it didnt and start tracking." she snarled, she pricked her ears up to listen for the sound of a fox.
