Windpaw padded beside Lionpaw, "thanks for the help back there. I don't know if I could have fought it off all alone." he said quietly, eyes focused on the ground.

Cougarfeatehr nodded, "Thank Star Clan Lionpaw and Windpaw showed up." she said with a small smile.

Oakfeather only nodded, mind wandering off in a seperate direction. He had a detatched feeling forming inside of him as he stared blankly at the ground between his paws. His twisted back paw throbbed, but he ignored it.

Lionpaw only nodded. "Clanmates help each other, don't they?" she said sharply. "No need to thank me for being there. Any other cat would have gladly substituted." Her eyes were trained on the path ahead of her, even though she could sense Windpaw next to her in every hair on her body.

Windpaw nodded, "yeah, but you were the one to help me. You are new to the clan. Would you risk your life to help another rouge?" he asked, "do they do that for each other?" he asked curiously.

Cougarfeather nudged Oakfeather's shoulder lightly, "are you sure you should be walking? I could brink Dreamsplash to you." she suggested.

"So it makes a difference that I'm new?" she muttered back to him. She stopped when she heard his last questions. She bristled automatically, unsheathing her claws. "Just because rogues live alone," she snarled, "Does not mean we are heartless enough to watch another cat die." She quickened her pace, wishing that he would go away.

Oakfeather shook his head. "I'm fine," he said huskily. "And I don't want to see Dreamsplash. I want my sister to look at my paw." He had a look of determination in his eyes that made him seem stubborn.

Windpaw rolled his eyes, "I know. I was just curious." he sighed. . . .

Cougarfeather snorted, "you don't look very fine! If you want Limefeatehr to look at it, you will have to sneak through camp to the Elder's den." she said, "but how can we?" she trailed off, voice puzzled.

Moonsong lifted her head. She smelled blood, Her whiskers twitched nervously. Her sightless gace was focused on the camp entrance.

Oakfeather only shrugged again, raising to his feet with a pained grunt. "I don't want to sneak in," he muttered. "If anyone asks, I'm just talking to my sister. Is that illegal now or something?" He twitched his whiskers and started to limp away.

Wolfstar glanced past her, and looked at the camp entrance. "Something wrong?" he asked, catching a whiff of Windpaw and Lionpaw.

Lionpaw sped up to nearly a sprint, muttering things both angry and upset under her breath as she weaved her way into the camp. Her fur was spotless, as she had just cleaned it, but fresh blood was drying on her collar.

Cougarfeather nodded, "but Woldstar will make you see Dreamsplash in your condition." she pointed out.

Windpaw sighed and padded into camp, fox blood matted his paws and face.

Moonsong nodded, "I knew I smelled blood." she muttered, "but its not theirs, its Fox blood." she said.

Lionpaw ignored the attention she was attracting to herself, and slipped into the apprentice's den without another word or motion. Her eyes were set.

Wolfstar frowned, nosed Moonsong, and slithered off of the highrock and started towards Windpaw with confident in his strides.

"Wolfstar can eat my- " He was cut off as a twig snapped and he stiffened. "Squirrel," he said dismissively, and continued to limp alongside Cougarfeather.

Windpaw dipped his head respectfully to Wolfstar, "good afternoon." he said, not stopping to talk to his leader. He kept padding slowly toward the Apprentice's den, he was exhausted.

Moonsong leapt down frim Highrock and padded toward the Apprentice's den. She squeezed through the entrance and followed the scent of her apprentice, "whats wrong?" she asked Lionpaw quietly.

COugarfeather chuckled, "all right then, to the Elder's den it is." she purred.

Oakfeather nodded, feeling his heart leap into his throat as soon as the camp entrance was in view. A raspy purr escaped hsi throat, but it sounded a little strangled.

Wolfstar frowned, and and sat down with a sigh. "I'll speak to you when you're rested!" he called after the young apprentice, closing his eyes.

Lionpaw's voice was a feral snarl. "Go away," she hissed at her mentor. "I need some alone time to think." She always took a little time for herself to stop and think when something happened.

Moonsong sighed, "Alright. When you are done with your thinking, take a nap, then come find me so I can teach you the warrior code." her tone was flat, and more of an order than a request. She padded out of the den Past Windpaw.

"Whatever." Windpaw said over his shoulder to Wolfstar. He padded over to his nest beside Lionpaw's and lay down, curling up and putting his tail over his nose. He pretended to be asleep, but he couldnt sleep yet. He was still on cloud nine from taking down his first fox.

Cougarfeather padded toward the Elder's den with Oakfeather, "Limefeather? Can we talk?" she asked quietly.

{ I'm going swimming with a couple of friends and my crush, so I won't be on today either ;) }

Lionpaw growled softly and shifted away from Windpaw, ignoring him frostily. She made a mental note of Moonsong's orders, and tried to make sure she would remember. The world around her started to numb and disappear as her thoughts carried her away.

Wolfstar snorted, opening his eyes as he sensed Moonsong walking out of the apprentice's den.

Limefeather jumped, prodding Adderstrike awake with one paw. "Get out," she hissed. "Take the back exit. My brother and Cougarfeather are here." She stood up and tried to smooth her ruffled fur as she waited for them to enter the den. "Come in," she said loudly, flicking him with her tail again.

Oakfeather's ears picked up Limefeather's hushed hisses, and the scent of Adderstrike, but he pushed away his curiousity and accusations. He started to limp towards the entrance to the Elder's den.

Adderstrike slipped out the back of the Elder's Den. He padded around and back into camp with a yawn. He sat down near the freshkill pile and gave his chest fur a quick lick.

Cougarfeather dipped her head to Limefeather, "greetings." she purred.

Moonsong padded over to Wolfstar wtih a sigh, "she wont tlak to me." the white she-cat muttered.

Windpaw sighed and drifted off to sleep.((fail x.x))

Limefeather only dipped her head slightly, curious as to what was going on. "Yes?" she said curtly, sweeping her tail around her paws. Her eyes settled on Oakfeather, sparking with concern when she saw his twisted paw.

Oakfeather forced a half-hearted smirk and sat down gingerly next to Cougarfeather.

Limefeather frowned, and her ears twitched. "I'm not a medicine cat anymore," she said in a clear voice. "I can't help you." She flicked her tail and gave them a long, stubbornly determined look.

Oakfeather hissed at her, "Limefeather! You're joking right?" He frowned when she shook her head sharply. "Okay then..."
