Feralwind laughed, "I know. But I don't know where I want to go." he said.

Wishpaw smiled sympatheticaly, "what does she know? Maybe one day if you train hard enough, you could beat me. I mean, I do have a few moons of training more than you have."

Adderstrike made a face of mock-hurt, "well I was gonna' say you but nevermind!" he said.

Moonsong shrugged, "just go talk, you made me talk to Wolfstar didnt you?" she said.

__

Windpaw padded over to Oakfeather, "hey. you hungry at all?" he asked.

__

Dreamsplash lay in her den, as tired as she was, she fought to stay awake. SHe was in control for the moment, and she knew as soon as she fell asleep, Tigerstar could take over again. But sleep over came her, slowly and unwillingly, she closed her eyes.

Birdfall padded into camp, he set down some prey, and picked up a thrush and padded to the Medicine cat's den to visit Dreamsplash. He saw her sleeping and set down the thrush near her, then padded to the warriors den for a quick nap of his own,

Cougarfeather sat towen in front of her leader, "well, I was wondering when Wishpaw and Windpaw were going to be made warriors. Windpaw is more than ready and Wishpaw will make a great warrior. I think that they should be made warriors as soon as possible, the clan could use more warriors." she said.

Wolfstar, whose mind was a little occupied, only nodded. "Uh-huh...sounds good. How about, um, tomorrow?" He blinked a few times, trying to focus himself. "er, tonight?" He had a confused air around him.

Snakepaw only bobbed his head, trying to brush away his bitter feelings. He forced a smile on his face and tried to look happy. "You're right," he said with fake cheer.

Oakfeather nodded, limping stiffly towards his apprentice. "Yup. That's why I'm going hunting," he smirked. "You coming?"

~

Lionpaw shook her head. "I don't want to talk to him right now," she mumbled. "I need some time to cool off."

~

Limefeather nosed him, chuckling. "Would you like some ice to go with that burn?" she teased.

~

Sablepaw chuckled. "Come on," she mewed. "We'll decide on the way there."

Cougarfeatehr tilted her head, "are you even listening to me at all?" she asked

Wishpaw smiled, "I betcha I could teach her a thing or two about fighting too." she said with a wink.

Windpaw dipped his head, "sure, if you are sure you are okay to go hunting." he said, glancing at Oakfeathers injured paw.

Adderstrike snorted, "pshht! That wasnt a burn. My mother could have done better!" he taunted.

__

Feralwind smiled, "okay. Sounds liek a plan to me." he purred.

"Ugh, yeah," He said, indignant. "We're, um, apprenticing some kits tonight?" Wolfstar sighed, looking apologetic. "Sorry, what?"

Snakepaw nodded, averting his eyes as he shuffled his paws on the ground.

Oakfeather snorted, being stubborn and arrogant. "I could care less," he muttered. "I don't want to be fed like an elder until i AM an elder."

~

Limefeather flicked her tail, pouncing on his side so they both tumbled into the open. She chuckled a few times, pinning him underneath her.

~

Sablepaw bounced to her feet, fluffy tail sticking upright, and started to pad out of camp, purring like mad. "I want to catch a mouse," she decided. "I've never caught a mouse before." Then, it occurred to her that she hadn't caught pretty much anything before, save the odd vole or pigeon.

Cougarfeatehr laughed, "no, I was wondering if we could make Windpaw and Wishpaw warriors soon." her eyes grew curious, "so whats got you so distracted?" she asked.

Wishpaw tilted her head, "whats wrong?" she asked.

Windpaw laughed, "well I think you should rest old timer." he teased, "If i were you, I'd take advantage of the situation. She-cats love the battle scars." he said with a laugh, "And I'm pretty sure some of them wouldnt mind helping you out." he said.

__

Adderstrike was taken by suprise and felt his breath forced out of his lungs, "Not fair!" he cried, trying to get out from under her, "I thought we werent fighting anymore!"

__

"well, if its mice you want, then we better go near the abandoned twoleg barn," Feralwind said, "mice love it there." he purred.

Wolfstar flushed under his fur. "Nothing," he said quickly. "And yes, they shall become warriors tonight." He added on, "What about Lionpaw? She seems to be learning quite quickly. I believe she's ready. After all, she saved Windpaw from having to face that fox alone." He added on, "Is Sablepaw able yet, or is she still not due to her...condition?"

"Uh, nothing." Snakepaw said a little too quickly. "Just an injury I need Dreamsplash to check out. I'll be back later." He felt guilty about lying to Wishpaw, but he wanted to spend some time alone with the new medicine cat.

He prodded her with his paw, trying to wake her.

~

Oakfeather gave him a dirty look. "I'm not that old," he mumbled. "And you know a lot about she-cats, do you?" He nodded towards Lionpaw. "What's going on between you two? And you and Poppypaw?" He chuckled.

~

Limefeather chortled. "Keep your eyes open at all times, silly." She nipped his nose, rolling off of him.

~

Sablepaw purred her response, and picked up her pace to keep up with Feralwind. She stumbled, but regained her balance quickly. 

Cougarfeatehr twitched her tail in frustration, "Sablepaw's skill could match that of any other apprentice." she sighed, "but she need a little more time to master hunting" Cougarfeather admitted, "But really, what is distracting you?" she asked, voice slightly amused, "don't you think your deputy deserves to know?"

Wishpaw sighed, but nodded. She sat alone in the middle of camp, looking up at the sky.

___

Dreamsplash woke with a jolt, she glared at Snakepaw furiously, "what are you doing here?" she hissed angrily. Tigerstar had spoken to her in her dream, and had taken her soul over again. In the back of her mind, the real Dreamsplash wondered when this would all end.

Windpaw shrugged, "I dont know, I kind of like Lionpaw, but Poppypaw gets so jealous." he shook his head, "I dont know what to think anymore, I mean, Poppypaw is pretty and all, but shes just kind of moody, and a bit mean sometimes. And Lionpaw, shes just different, but in a good way, you know?" he said, "pkay, so since your asking be about she-cats, I've got a question for you, how come you never chose a mate?" he asked.

Adderstrike rolled his eyes, then got to his feet, "if you say so." he said, shaking his head.

___

Feralwind looked back at Sablepaw, "you okay?" he asked, whickers twitching in amusement.

Snakepaw smiled, pleased to see her awake, despite her attitude, he made up a smooth lie. "My stomach hurts; I took a pretty strong blow from Wishpaw. can you give me something for that?" His paws prickled just being around her.

Oakfeather took the question like a slap in the face. He was stunned for a moment, and left without an answer. Finally he pulled himself together, and said in a husky voice, "I've never really met the right she-cat for me, I guess. I mean, I guess there's one now, but I wouldn't think she would want to be my mate." He twitched his whiskers.

Limefeather chuckled, suddenly blushing when she noticed some cats were looking their way, especially Poppypaw, who looked rather disgusted.

~

Sablepaw smirked. "Never been better," she meowed. not noticing it, she tripped and fell into a rabbit hole.

~

Wolfstar sighed. "It's just a she-cat." 

Dreamsplash sighed, "fine." she said, rising to her paws and padding to the back of her den, gabbing a few herbs((why cant i think of any of their names? XD)) and wrapping them in a dock leaf, then bringing them back to Snakepaw, "here. These will help."

Windpaw shrugged, "well, you never know. And its not like you have to decide right now anyway. I mean, I'm not even a warrior yet, I might not choose a mate for a while yet, I might find the perfect she-cat the day after my warrior ceremony, you never know. But if I were you, and you think you found the perfect she-cat, I wouldnt put off talkingto her very long, because she might find someone else. Just because you are willing to wait and just stay friends doesnt mean she is." he said.

Feralwind laughed, "I can tell." he said, helping her out of the rabbit hole.

___

Cougarfeather purred, "I figured as much." she said, whiskers twitching, "so who is it?" she asked.

___

Moonsong nedded, "dont put off talking to him too long, I've noticed Poppypaw has her eye on him as well." she said with a shrug.

___

Adderstrike tilted his head, then looked and saw Poppypaw glaring at them with a disgusted look. He rolled his eyes, "whats her deal?" he asked.

"Thanks," he mumbled, chewing on the bitter herbs, then swallowing. Snakepaw sat upright and asked, "So, did Tigerstar say anything new?" His lime green eyes were trained on the pretty she-cat.

Oakfeather chuckled. "Sounds like good advice."

~

Sablepaw gave him a dirty look and kept walking, this time more careful as to not trip on anything.

~

Wolfstar flushed under his skin. "If I tell you, you have to promise to tell me who you're out and about with," he teased, whiskers twitching.

~

"Poppypaw can eat her own dirt," Lionpaw said with a low hiss. (LOL. Hate:P)

~

Limefeather glanced at Poppypaw, who drew her head back into the nursery. "I don't know," she mumbled, suddenly feeling guilty. 

Dreamsplash narrowed her ice blue eyes and glared at the young tom, "I guess thats between me and Tigerstar isnt it?" she hissed. Nosy little punk. she thought.

Windpaw shrugged, "I try." he said with a grin.

__

Feralwind padded toward the old barn. He scented the air, "hold on, let me check for dogs or foxes, I'll only be a second okay?" he dashed into the barn and looked around, then began to climb a fallen beam, to get a better view. He had smelled fox, but the scent was a few days old, so they didnt have anything to worry aobut. He smelled raccoon as well, but a raccoon had no reason to bother a cat. Besides, they were noctournal. The barn seemed clear, but he kept searching, to make absolutely certain it was safe.

Cougarfeatehr chuckled, "you first!" she nudged him with her shoulder.((OMG thts like me nd my friends! "ill tell you if you tell me!! then when you say, its all like OMGGG!!!! NO WAI!!! XD))

Moonsong shrugged, "what she does in her spare time is no concern of mine!" she said with a laugh.

Adderstrike sighed, "well, are you hungry at all?" he asked.

Snakepaw tried not to look hurt. "Oh. Sorry then." He moved his eyes aware from her, scratchign his claws along the ground in silence. "So..."

"You try too hard," Oakfeather teased, nosing him gently.

~

Wolfstar tried not to look uncomfortable. "Moonsong," he confessed. "Now it's your turn!!"

~

Lionpaw chuckled along with her, feeling a little lighter and happier.

~

Sablepaw poked her head in, smelling the air as well. "Can I come in?" she mewled almost silently.

~

Limefeather nodded, and stretched out. "Let's go hunting; there's hardly anything left in the freshkill pile." 

Feralwind dropped down from the rafters avove, landing almost silently right in front of Sablepaw, "yup. THe coast is clear." he said.

Adderstrike glanced at her, "you can hunt?" he half-asked in disbelief.

___

Cougarfeather widened her eyes in schock, "really! Wow I never would have guessed!" she purrred. She looked toward the camp entrance, which she knew Moonsong was just outside, she glanced at Wolfstar out of the corner of her eye, "But...I don't want to tell you." she said with a laugh.

___

Windpaw shrugged, "heck, if you were me, you probably wouldnt try at all! Trying is hard!" he said.

___

Dreamsplash sighed, "yes. He has talked to me. Just now. Has he talked to you at all recently?" she asked, ehr voice barely above a whisper.

Sablepaw bristled, her heart slamming in her chest. "You scared me!" she complained quietly, sniffing the air carefully.

Limefeather shot him a long, cold glare. "Of course I can," she muttered. "I may be a medicine cat, but I'm still a cat and I have instincts."

~

Wolfstar bristled, starting to look like he was about to claw her. "No fair," he demanded. "You promised!"

~

"Shutup," Oakfeather hissed playfully, rolling his eyes. "Before I claw you."

~

Snakepaw was silent for a moment, his head still bowed to look at his paws. "...Yes," he mumbled. "Earlier, when I was awake and with Wishpaw." He paused again. "but I ignored him."

Feralwind chuckled, "boo." he teased.

___

Adderstrike shrugged, "if you say so. Lead the way o great and might hunter." he said with a dramatic bow.

___

"I did not!" Cougarfeatehr protested, "I lied." she said.

___

"Is that A threat I sense?" Windpaw hissed playfully, "or a challenge?"

___

Dreamsplash twitched her ears, "when you were awake? Care to explain that?" she asked, then she cuffed his ear gently, "and I don't recommend ignoring him, Tigerstar gets a bit....impatient sometimes and doesnt like to be pushed aside until later."

Sablepaw scowled, flicking him with her tail, and then started to stalk the mouse nearest to her.

limefeather growled at him. "Don't make me regret letting you live," she teased.

~

Wolfstar didn't look very amused. "Not funny."

~

Oakfeather pretended to pout. "Are you gonna pick on an old, injured cat? you monster!"

~

Snakepaw shifted uncomfortably. "Well, I was playing with her, and kinda thinking about this other she-cat at the same time, and he told me that I shouldn't bother with my feelings, and I got all mad and pushed him out of my mind." He met her eyes slowly.

Cougarfeatehr shrugged, "well there isnt much to tell." she said.

Windpaw rolled his eyes, "a little too much on the theatrics there old timer." he teased.

___

Dreamsplash nodded, "so he talks to you when you are awake. He must have some very special plan for you." she said.

___

"letting me live?" Adderstrike mused, twitching his whiskers.

___

Feralwind shucked softly then sat down to watch her hunt.
