Windrush watched the sun come up in anticipation. His first day as a warrior, he clanced over at Wishcomet and knew that his sister was thinking the same thing. He looked at Lionfur, and smiled. Now that he was a warrior, he could go hunting with her without wither Oakfeatehr or Moonsong taging along.

Moonsong padded out of the warriors den and over to Wolfstars den with a purr. She looked sightlessly into the leaders den, "good morning." she purred, "may I come in?" She could feel the suns early warming rays and knew it must be about dawn, soon the new warriors would be able to talk again after their silent vigil.

___

Adderstrike slunk into camp silently, for one, without Finchtail. He snatched a vole from the freshkill pile and ate it in two swift gulps. He padded over to the elders den and walked in, "mind if I hide in here?" he asked Limefeather quietly.

___

Cougarfeather opened her eyes groggily and blinked to get used to the dim light of the old abandoned fox den. ((XD fail))

___

Feralwind slept soudly in the warriors den, his ears twitching every now and then as a fly would land on them.

___

Birdfall padded out of the warriors den just as Finchtail entered camp. She padded up to Birdfall and asked, "have you seen Adderstrike?"

Birdfall shook his head, "nope. Just woke up." he said with a yawn.

Finchtail gave him an annoyed look, "well I was asking if he was in the warriors den mousebrain." she hissed.

Birdfall glared at her, "He hasnt been in the warriors den since you got 'taken by the twolegs.'" He growled, "Which I higly doubt. If you were really taken by twolegs, you would never come back. I think you just left! How could you do that to us? Our mother had just died, and our father abandoned us to join a rouge clan, and then I was told you were dead. Do you have any idea how that feels?" he asked. Finchtail gave him a look of hurt, then wlaked away to continue her search for Adderstrike.

Lionfur glanced back at him fondly, blinking a few times as she readjusted her position so she was comfortable. The weather was nice and warm.

"Of course," Wolfstar purred, smiling. He yawned, stretching out as he waited for Moonsong to enter his den. Giving his pelt one last shake to wake himself up completely, he sat up straight, purring.

 ~

"Yes," she hissed groggily. He'd woken her up rather abruptly, and she was begging to forget the dream she'd just had. "Go hide somewhere else. You're not wanted in here." The dull ache in her chest returned, making her feel more hateful towards him. Puts me in pain like this... 

~

Oakfeather, who'd been outside hunting, strode back in looking smug with himself. He dropped a finch in front of her, then sat down with his own two mice. "Morning," he said with a raspy purr.

~

Snakepaw slid out of the apprentice's den just as the first few inches of sun poked through the tree branches. He padded up to Wishcomet, purring gently. "I never got to say congratulations yesterday," he said quietly.

Since the snake accident, he'd grown quiet a bit, and was now over half her size. Still puny compared to the rest of the apprentices left, but he was bigger and his muscles were visible under his coat.

Poppypaw yawned, stretching carefully so she wouldn't have to wake Sablepaw. She glanced down at the blind apprentice, who was twitching and mewling in her sleep feebly. With a sigh, she padded out of the den, and started to approach Birdfall. She'd heard he and his sister's conversation, but wasn't going to say anything.... "Hey."

Moonsong padded into Wolfstar's den with a smile, "Good Morning." she said again, "I think you should go tell the new warriors that they don't have to sit vigil anymore. Windrush is getting antsy." she said with a laugh.

"Too bad." Adderstrike hissed back, "I'm hiding here anyway." he said with a yawn, laying down and closing his eyes. He needed some time alone, and hoped that Limefeather would not bother him, and that was hsi logic for coming here. He could stay here, and she hopefully wouldnt bother him much.

"Morning." COugarfeatehr purred back, pluckting the featehr off of the finch.((wow CoufarFAILther!!! XD))

___

Wishcomet smiled, the sun was up, but she looked over at Wolfstar's den, waiting to be told that her silent vigil was finally over. It had been a long night, and Wishcomet was exhausted. I think I will sleep for a moon! she thought. She glanced back at Snakepaw.

___

Birdfall sighed, "Hi poppypaw." he said, shaking his head. He forced a smile, "and how did you sleep?" he asked.

___

Dreamsplash padded into camp, mouth full of the sweet flavor of catmint, she dipped her head to Windrush, Wishcomet, and Lionfur as she walked by.

___

Windpaw dipped his head back to Dreamsplash.

"Have a nice sleep?" Oakfeather asked casually as he started to gnaw on one of the mice thoughtfully. He stared out of the foxden, eyes scanning the bushes.

Limefeather got onto her feet, fur ruffled. "I'll be leaving then," she said coldly. "I can't sleep with you in here. You might stab me in the back or something." Stalking out of the den with a stiff flick of her tail, Limefeather disappeared into the faint sunlight.

Feeling rather pleased with herself, she looked for Finchtail. When she found her, she mumbled, "He's in the elder's den," and padded out of camp without another glance backwards.

Wolfstar laughed easily, getting onto his feet. "Good idea," he mumbled cheerfully as he started to pad out of his den. "You should tag along," he meowed. "We can go on patrol or something after this."

~

Lionfur nodded to Dreamsplash as well, fur brushing against Windrush's. It made her feel tingly from head to toe.

~

Snakepaw smiled back at her brightly, only dipping his head in the slightest way to Dreamsplash. "We should go hunting some time," he said to her under his breath as he stood up. "But for now, I have to go find Adderstrike," there was a glint in his eye. "We've got to work on my training some more."

~

Poppypaw smiled easily at him. "Fine," she said dismissively. She paused, and then added on with a smirk. "I mean, until you and Finchtail woke me up with your bickering."

~

Sablepaw sat bolt upright, chest heaving as she struggled to breath right. Her dream was still vivid in her mind; or, rather, the scent and sounds of it were.

Tigerstar had spoken to her, and when she'd refused to learn his ways... She cringed into her nest, blood trickling slowly from a cut on her muzzle. She was so confused.

Standing, Sablepaw went to go find Feralwind. 

Cougarfeatehr shrugged as she padded out of the foxden, "could have been better." she teased, double meaning to her words.

Adderstrike had been listening to Limefeatehr and hissed quietly, "Thanks a lot!" he called after her as he padded out of the Elder's den. He sat down and groomed his fur as Finchtail sauntered up to him, rubbing against his cheek. Aderstrike continued to groom his ruffled fur as if she wasnt there.

____

Moonsong smiled, "sure." she said, getting up and following him out toward the new warriors. She could 'feel' their anticipation in a way that another cat would see it. Her sleek coat glimered in the sunlight as she padded out of Wolfstar's den. Her sightless blue eyes were focused on where Lionfur was and seh was proud of the other she-cat.

Windrush nudged Lionfur and nodded his head to Wolfstar. He looked back at Lionfur with a smile.

____

Wishcomet just nodded her head to Snakepaw, then turned her attention to Wolfstar.

____

Birdfall rolled hsi eyes, "I'd say sorry, but I'm not." he teased, "its about time you woke up anyway you lazy furball."

____

Feralwind padded out of the warriors den groggily. He blinked a few times to get used to the sunshine. It hurt his eyes. He stretched hsi tense muscles with a mighty yawn.

 Sablepaw squealed, ramming into Feralwind's side. "Feralwind!" she mewed, sightless eyes wide. "I had a very bad dream!" The blood seemed to have stopped flowing from her muzzle.

Poppypaw smirked. "Lazy furball, huh?" She rolled her eyes. "Look who's talking, mousebrain." She shouldered him playfully. 

~

Snakepaw rasped his tongue over her ear gently, then padded towards the elder's den, where he had seen Finchtail enter. If she was there, so was Adderstrike. He gave Finchtail a hard, cold look and then turned to his mentor pleasantly.

"Are we going to train today?"

His training had been sped up, but he'd mostly been shoved off on other warriors, because Adderstrike was so busy with his mate. Er, ex-mate. Or whatever she was.

Lionfur puffed out her chest, eyes shimmering happily as she listened to Wolfstar speak. Her eyes were on Moonsong, her previous mentor, but she was also watching Windrush a little bit.

~

Oakfeather snorted, finishing off his mice, and trailed after her. "What's that supposed to mean?" he asked stubbornly.

~

Limefeather sat in front of a small stream, eyes on the water. She let her thoughts take over as she sat motionless.

~

Wolfstar rumbled, "You're all warriors now, and your vigil is over. Perhaps you should sleep; you'll be tired, I reckon." He chuckled. "I know I was. Well, anyways, you can speak now. Congratulations." 

Feralwind blinked a few more times, "well good morning to you too." he said. He glanced at her with one eyebrow raised, "what happened to your muzzle?" he asked.

Birdfall shrugged, "yeah, but I was awake first." he said, "and the early bird catches the worm." he teased.

((XD just thought of a comeback to that, and it works for cats, yes but the nighthawk catches the mouse ;D))

___

Adderstrike smiled, glad to have an excuse to get out of camp, "sure. We will do some battle training." he said, "see you later finchtail." he said, padding out of the warriors den at a hasty pace.

___

Moonsong winked at Lionfur, then turned to Wolfstar, "so. patrol?" she said, brushing against him gently.

___

"Nothing." Cougarfeather teased, "noting at all." ((XD i can not think of anything to post as her XD))

___

Dreamsplash padded back out of camp in search of cobwebs. She knew that there was a hollowed out tree full of them near the stream. She awlked at a liesurly pace toward the tree, enjoying her surroundings. She didnt see Limefeather until she practicaly walked into her former mentor. She jumped slightly when she did finaly see her, "Oh. Hi Limefeather." She said quietly.

Windrush laughed, "Finally! I thought I was going to burst! This silent thing isnt for me." he said with a wink.

Wishcomet laughed, "well Windrush, it was a real treat to be able to sit next to you without hearing your voice for a while." she teased, then looked at Wolfstar, "he even talks in his sleep!" she said with a small laugh.

Windrush flicked her ear with his tail, "shut up! so do you!" he said. He blinked a few times and yawned. Wolfstar was right. He was really tired.

Lionfur stretched out, golden fur gleaming in the sunlight. She yawned delicately. "Finally," she purred, starting to head towards the warrior's den. "The warrior's den."

Wolfstar laughed, rubbing his head on Moonsong's shoulder. "Sure," He stood up, shook out his thick silver pelt and yawned.

~

"Hello." Limefeather said quietly, tail tip twitching. She payed no attention to Dreamsplash as she sudden struck at the water with one paw. Her claws snagged the fish's slippery body, and she flung it onto s*censored* where she killed it with a quick bite.

~

Oakfeather grumbled something under his breath.

~

"Regretting something?" Snakepaw sneered, glancing sideways at his mentor.

~

"Yes," Poppypaw smirked. "But the owl catches the mouse." She chuckled.

"I told you," she said in a whisper. "I had a bad dream." 

"Touche." Birdfall said with a laugh.

Feralwind tilted his head, "what was it about?" he asked, glancing around to see if anyone was listening. But everyone was busy, although he was sure Moonsong could hear them. He glanced at her and as if she knew he knew she was listening, she flicked her ear and flicked ehr tail, he knew she was listening now, but knew she would keep it a secret.

Adderstrike glared at hsi apprentice, "since when do you care about what I do?" he asked, voice icy and sharp.

_____

Cougarfeatehr glanced back at Oakfeatehr and flicked the tip of her red-brown tail, "hey now.  No need to get grumpy." she said.

_____

Moonsong twitched her ear to Feralwind as she could feel his eyes looking at her, "yes she was listening, but she would keep it quiet. She thought for a moment, "would you like to eat some breakfast first?" she asked Wolfstar.

Windrush laughed, "Amen to that!" he said to Lionfur. He padded into the den and looked around for an empty next.((G2g......maybe))

Poppypaw laughed, feeling light and fluttery. It was a pleasant feeling.

Sablepaw squirmed. "I was in a forest," she said quietly. "But it smelled awful, like crowfood. And everything was wet under my paws. And then I smelled a cat, and he said his name was Tigerstar." she quivered. "And he asked me to join him and train harder and better than Wolfstar's clan and that Snakepaw and Dreamsplash had already agreed." She tried to stop shaking. "And when I said no, all of a sudden he was ontop of me and my nose started to sting and then-" she paused. "I woke up."

~

"Since you were messing around with my mother," Snakepaw replied coolly, with a dark look in his direction. "But I shouldn't care now, because you're all gaga over Finchtail again."

~

 Oakfeather sighed. "Sorry," he said feebly. "I just have a feeling somebody noticed when we slipped out of camp."

~

Wolfstar shook his head. "Not hungry at the moment, but if you want something I'll wait."

~

Lionfur curled up in what looked like the only available nest. "you can share with me," she said teasingly. Though, she thought, that's not a bad idea anyways... 

Feralwind shuddered, "havent you ever heard the stories of the old forest?" he asked, voice barely above a whisper.

___

Moonsong blinked in suprise at Sablepaw's words, then relaxed, "no. She said, I was just wondering if you were hungry." she purred, "lets go." She said, padding out of camp.

__

"ouch." Adderstrike said. Then he sighed, "but I guess I deserve that." he shook his head.

__

"Nice catch." Dreamsplash said absentmindedly, heading toward the tree that was full of cobwebs.

__

Cougarfeather shrugged, "so? I'm pretty sure we didnt break any rules, last time I checked." she said with one raised eyebrow.

__

Windrush laughed, "I just might have to take you up on that." he said, looking around and seeing no other open nests.

__

Wishcomet lay down underneath a shady tree, she would rather sleep outside. She closed her eyes and almost immeadeately fall asleep.

__

Birdfall glanced over at Wolfstar, "shouldnt you go on patrol with your mentor?" he suggested.

Poppypaw shook her head. "No; he doesn't usually bring me." she sighed and frowned, "He's almost always with Moonsong lately."

Wolfstar padded out of camp after Moonsong, purring gently to himself as he caught up to her. Their pelts brushed, lighting his senses on fire.

~

Lionfur smiled. "Well, come on then," she said, stifling a yawn. "There's plenty of room." She curled up in a tight ball, so he'd only have the option of curling up around her fluffy golden body.

~

Oakfeather smirked a little. "Yes," he said. "But I'm pretty sure catnapping the deputy is pretty punishable."

~

Limefeather only nodded, mumbled "the cobwebs are thickest at the back", and then headed back towards camp with the fish in her jaws. It was pretty big.

~

"No," Sablepaw said, looking guilty. "I never knew my parents, and the elders didn't like to tell me stories. They said I was tainted." She grimaced. "What's the old forest?"

~

Snakepaw looked at him cautiously. "I thought you liked Finchtail?" he asked curiously. "You're starting to act like she's bothering you."

Birdfall shrugged, "have you asked to do anyrhing?" he asked.

___

Moonsong leaned lightly one Wolfstar as she walked, fur seeming to be ful of electricity. She closed her eyes, it wasnt like she needed them to see anyway.

___

Windrush laughed and lay down beside her, more, around her. He noticed that although he was slightly younger than her, he was still a bigger cat. And she was mostly just fluff. The thought made him laugh quietly.

___

"I know." Dreamsplash retorted in an irritated tone of voice. She started collecting herbs, muttering to herself, "geeze. she acts like I'm totaly incompetent just because i couldnt help Snakepaw. Its not my fault most cats have the sense to avoid Adders and we havent had a case of a bitten cat since before I was born."

___

"The old forest is a place far away from here. And Tigerstar is the most evil cat in our history. Apart from Scourge, the cat who killed him. Tigerstar was origionaly Tigerclaw, of ThunderClan. He was deputy, but thirsty for more power. he tried several times to kill the ThunderClan leader, Bluestar, and eventually succeded. He set a pack of dogs on the entire clan. And, he tried to kill all half-bloods. Then, he thought to bring a Fifth Clan into the forest, BloodClan. Tigerstar was leader of ShadowCLan and had his nine lives, and the leader of BloodClan, a tiny cat by the name of Scourge,  took them all at once." Feralwind shuddered, "and then the great Firestar brought down BloodClan by bringing RiverClan, ThunderClan, and WindClan together." he said, "Of course, there is a lot more to the story, but thats it all summed up. And now, Tigerstar haunts the Dark Forest and enters the dream of cats and tries to make them like he was. Evil." he said.

Adderstrike bared hsi teeth, "I don't think its any of your business now is it?" he asked.

"It kind of is," Snakepaw said quietly, turning his eyes away from his mentor. "I heard Oakfeather say once that being mentor and apprentice is like being brothers, or even like a father and kit." He frowned. "For brothers, you don't confide a lot in me," he added on in a brisk, icy tone, "You're starting to treat me like I'm my mother."

Sablepaw shuddered. "Does that mean-" she paused. "Snakepaw? Dreamsplash?" She pressed herself against Feralwind, letting his scent and soft fur calm her down.

~

"Something funny?" Lionfur said sleepily, purring lightly to herself as she felt his body press against hers. It was a nice feeling; it sent shivers down her spine.

~

Wolfstar purred, twining his tail with hers absentmindedly.

~

"No," Poppypaw said. "I don't want to because I'm worried about asking when he's in a bad mood or inturrupting an important conversation."
