Adderstrike pinned his ears back, "Have you not seen me and my brother? We disagree on a lot. And there s a lot I don't tell him." he said, keeping his gaze to the forst as he slunk out of camp.

Feralwind looked down at teh ground, "I think Dreamsplash is Skitzo. She has dual personalities. Notice how somedays she pads through camp as carefree as a kit, and other days she sticks to the shadows and avoids everyone." he said.

___

Windrush smiled, "Nothing." he said. He thought for a moment, "Its just, you little." he said, chuckling again.

___

Birdfall shrugged, "then your never going to get to do anything with him, you have to ask." he said, "or Wolfstar wont know you are feeling left behind."

___

Cougarfeatehr laughed, "well, it's different If I go willingly." she pointed out.

Snakepaw snorted. "You don't confide in anyone," he said bitterly. "Except your precious Finchtail."

Sablepaw nodded feebly, unseeing eyes wide. "A-and what about Snakepaw? He saved Wishcomet from that adder, didn't he?"

~

Lionfur snorted. "Don't make fun of me," she said stubbornly. "It's not my fault I'm seventy percent fluff." She added on, "And I'm muscular."

~

"I don't want him to know that," she mumbled.

~

Oakfeather rolled his eyes with a chuckle. "Yeah, uh-huh. Okay." 

And thats when Adderstrike snapped, "You don't know anything kit." He said, "not a damned thing. You gave in to Tigerstar, I know he was teaching oyu to fight for a while. So you want to talk about confiding?" He hissed.

Cougatfeather raised one eyebrow at him, "whats that suppsoed to mean?" she asked.

__

Feralwind thought for a moment, "well. I think that was a personal thing. Wishcomet was the only one nice to him out of all the apprentices." he said.

__

Windrush prodded her with his paw, "Uh huh. Muscular." he said, "its all fluff." he said.

__

Birdfall tiled his head, "why not?"

Snakepaw bristled, snarling back. "I do confide in other cats," he snapped. "I have Wishcomet. And she's worth a hell lot more than you are, to me. She can at least stick to one tom, and stay loyal." He added on with a sneer, "And I'm done with Tigerstar. I'm not his puppet, like Dreamsplash is."

"Nothing," Oakfeather teased, imitating her voice. 

~

"I tried to be nice to him," she said defensively. "But he's just so...so..." she frowned. "Prickly, like a porcupine. He doesn't like it when cats get close."

~

Lionfur rolled her eyes, prodding him back with one paw. "Shut up and go to sleep," she purred. "I'm tired."

~

"Because it's...weird." She frowned. "Not many cats are interested in what I'm feeling." 

((Spent the day at the lake >:D i went tubing and was literally about 4 feet above the water XD twas awesome!! but now my face is sunburnt DX))

Adderstrike cuffed Snakepaw hard across the face, "with his claws sheathed, "watch it or you might send youself to an early grave." he snarled.

Cougarfeatehr rolled her eyes, "you make a bad impression of me." she said.

___

Feralwind shrugged, "if it makes him happy, let him be." he said.

___

Windrush chuckled but closed his eyes, falling into a peaceful sleep.

___

"Well hes your mentor." Birdfall said, "he is supposed to care."

"Maybe you should start following your own advice," he snarled back at his mentor, ignoring the throbbing headache forming. Without thinking, he spun around and started to dash in the bushes, away from his mentor. To hell with him.

Lionfur purred, warmth causing her to finally drift into a light sleep unbothered by dreams.

~

"I don't think he is happy," Sablepaw said absentmindedly.

~

"I must be doing something right then," Oakfeather teased, jabbing her with one paw as they slipped into the camp.

~

Poppypaw only shrugged, flicking her ears. "So..." she mumbled, at a complete loss for words. 

Adderstrike glowered after him, tail lashing in frustration. Stupid kit! He was asking for it.

Feralwind sighed, "I don't think so either." he said, sdhaking his head.

___

"Hey now" cougarfeatehr protested, "be nice."

___

"So." birdfall repeated, "you should go find your mentor. Let him train you. not me." he said, "I have more important thing to do, like," he trailed off, trying to think of something, then grinned at her, "you know, stuff." he said.

Limefeather strode confidently past Adderstrike, tail tip twitching stiffly as she pas sed. She made sure not to be within striking distance of him as she walked away with her fish in her mouth.

"But that's boring," Oakfeather said, smirking. A few cats peeked at them with curious eyes. "Seems they noticed we were gone," he said on the side.

~

Poppypaw stood up, stung. "Fine," she said sourly. "I'll go do that, seeing as you have better things to do." She whirled around adn started to stalk away, ears pinned to her head unhappily.

~

Sablepaw frowned, breathing in the scents around her. "I feel bad for him, actually," she said sadly. "No friends...Medicine cat mother...his slight size...abusive sibling..." She sighed, blinking her blind eyes at the camp entrance. "Do you think he'd be happier as a rogue?"

~

Snakepaw let his paws carry him to his favourite river, where he gazed unhappily at his reflection. A small, muscular black tom stared back with hungry green eyes, golden tail tip flicking slightly. Although he was sitting erect and alert, his eyes were dull and emotionless.

Turning away from the water, and himself, he stared at his paws. 

Adderstriek glanced at Limefeather, eyes still hostile. His fur still stood on end.

Cougareatehr shrugged, "I don't care." she said, "I'm allowed my freedom you know." she pointed out.

___

Feralwind thought for a moment, "I don't know. I think he has something to prove. That he will make a good warrior, that he is good enough to be one of us, but if he wanted to be a rouge, he would have left already don't you think?"

___

Dreamsplash carried her cobwebs back to camp, pausing momentarily then backtracking when she saw SNakepaw. She padded over to him and sat down beside him, "are you fishing too? your mother just caught a large fish a few moments ago." she said, putting down her cobbwebs and wrapping her tail around her paws.

"No," Sablepaw said thoughtfully. "He's probably waiting until he's bigger, stronger, and more experienced to go live on his own. Perhaps after he's a warrior." She frowned.

"No," Snakepaw said coolly. "I'm just here because I feel like it." He shifted his weight so he was leaning away from her, band glinting on his leg. "I don't like fishing much."

~

Oakfeather "mumbled, "As long as I don't get you in any trouble with Wolfstar..." He blinked, ears flicking for a moment. "Hm. Seems he covered the dawn patrol for you."

Feralwind chuckled, "clever. Waiting until you can take care of youself." he said, "but what if he does? its none of our business."

"well why not?" Freamsplash asked. She glanced at the band around his leg. It had been their when he was bitten by the Adder, but she had never asked him about it, she never had a reason to, it didnt seem to be affecting his health at all.

___

Cougarfeatehr shrugged, "he probably wanted to go on the patrol, so he would have gathered warriors for it anyway." she pointed out. She glanced around camp. the clan seemed to be getting along just fine on their own.

___

"I'm not looking for him." Adderstrike hissed after her. He slunk into the undergrowth, his grey pelt melting iinto the shadows.

Sablepaw shrugged. "Just wondering. Poppypaw's a good friend of mine, and he's her brother after all." She perked up. "So what do you want to do today?"

Snakepaw's eyes moved back to his reflection in the water. His muscles rippled under his pelt as he sheathed and unsheathed his claws, digging them into the moist soil. "I don't think that's much of your concern," he said calmly, not looking at her. But he knew why he didn't like water. Because he'd almost drowned once, and Adderstrike of all cats had to save him. He would give his mentor the pleasure of glory again soon, though...

Oakfeather yawned and stretched, shaking out his thick brown tabby fur. His amber eyes gleamed. "I need a nap," he said pleasantly. "Didn't get much sleep last night." He sauntered off towards the Warrior's den, poking his head inside.

Seeing lionfur and Windrush curled up asleep together, and his nest right next to it, he pulled his head out and looked for a sunny place to rest. "I'll leave them alone," he said to himself.

Limefeather padded into camp, setting her fish ontop of the fresh kill pile. With a pleasant flick of her tail, she disappeared back into the Elder's den.

~

Poppypaw padded up to her mentor and Moonsong, staying silent. She didn't want to intrude, but felt awkward just trailing behind them. 

WOlfstar nodded in greeting to Poppypaw, then continued chatting with Moonsong as they started to near one of the borders they shared with a neighbouring clan.

Feralwind shrugged, "I don't knw. But you should talk to Cougarfeatehr about your warrior ceremony, you arent that much younger than Windrush and Wishcomet, and although they got their training sped up, I'm sure you could become a warrior soon." he said.

Dreamsplash chuckled, "I supposed your right." she said, "well, I will see you back in camp." she said, standing up and grabbing her cobwebs. She padded away with a flick of her tail.

Moonsong gazed sightlessly back at Poppypaw, "why don't you come up here by us?" she suggested, "I would like to know how your training is going." she said, flicking Wolfstar's ear wtih her tail, "if this oaf is even training you at all."

____

Cougarfeather padded to the Elder's den, "Limefeather?" she called, padding into the den. She sat down b the former Medicine Cat, "just wondering what your up to." she said with a laugh, "there isnt much to do today, the freshkill pile is stocked, there is a border patrol out already, and until Wolfstar gets back, I won't know where we stand with the other clans." she said with a shrug.

"No you won't," Snakepaw said under his breath, flicking his ears again. He could faintly hear two or three cats in the distance, but decided he didn't really care.

Sablepaw purred. "That sounds great. I wonder what my warrior name would be..."

~

Poppypaw slid between them, black fur fluffed out in discomfort. "It's going good," she said, more to herself than to anyone. "I've been training with Birdfall, a few other warriors, and Limefeather took me fishing once..."

Wolfstar nodded, looking guilty as he tried not to fidget. Instead he just kept walking forwards.

~

Limefeather smiled. She liked Cougarfeather, more now than ever, seeing as she and her brother seemed to be close. "I'm not doing anything now," she said with a hearty purr. "I just got back from fishing." She left out the part where she saw Adderstrike, of course.

~

Feralwind thought for a moment, but came up blank, "What do you think it should be?" he asked.

Moonsong gave Wolfstar a dirty look, "maybe Wolfstar should pay more attention to his apprentice, don't you think?" she said.

___

Cougarfeatehr widened her eyes for a moment, "that huge fish was yours?" she asked in disbelief. She wondered for a moment who had tought her how to fish, but then figured it was probably an instinct. All cats had the natural ability to hunt and fish, and now, since Limefeather wasnt busy with ehr Medicine Cat duties, she would have been able to figure it all out. But maybe someone had tought her. It woudl have been Oakfeather or Adderstrike. She thought.((her mind wanders a lot XD))

"Something unique!" Sablepaw squeaked.

Poppypaw shrugged. "He's been busy," she said quietly.

Wolfstar snorted. "Yeah, Moonsong. He's been BUSY."

~

Limefeather nodded, eyes getting cold. "Adderstrike," she said his name like she was spitting out poison, "taught me how to fish, of course." She flicked her ears, dragging her eyes to her paws as the fur on her neck laid flat again. She hated even thinking about him. 

((I love it how we do time skips, and slowly lose warriors as time goes on XD))

Feralwind laughed, "of course. No two cats get the same name." he said.

Moonsong rolled her eyes, "well, no more excuses." she said, "hes supposed to train you, not let other warriors do it. I think its important for warriors and their apprentice's to train together and become as close as family." she said.

___

Cougarfeather nodded her head, "I figured." she blinked, eyes sympathetic, "why od you hate him though? Finchtail was his mate before she disappeared. And besides, I think she really gets on his nerves. He's been avoiding her for the past few days." she said.

( lololol. I know right? ;D )

"Good," Limefeather hissed. "I hope she is bothering him." She answered her other question. "He told me, the night I told him about my kits, that Finchtail ran off with some stupid tom from another clan. Then he decided to get all...." she hissed. "close and personal and romantic with me." She flicked her ears. "He just dumped me once that stupid fleabag came running back because her other mate didn't want her anymore."

"And he knew that. And he knew that she had put him through SO MUCH PAIN. And he still, STILL, chose her over me." She flicked her ears. "And that is why I hate him."

Wolfstar snorted. "Family," a pause. "Uh huh."

Poppypaw continued walking. "I don't need anymore family though," she said innocently. "I've already got my mum and my brother." This, of course, was a dirty lie. She didn't like either of those cats. But the prospect of getting close to her leader was... overwhelming. Exciting, but scary.

Sablepaw quivered. "Do you think I'll become a warrior before Snakepaw? His training got sped up!"
