 "I heard the Warrior's den was growing crowded," Sablepaw said, flicking her ears. "I overheard Woflstar talking about making it bigger."

Wolfstar chuckled, trailing after her. "You go see Dreamsplash now," he said with a grin. "I'll be in my den." { -good time to find out about kits- :D }

Poppypaw lapsed back into silence, feeling choked and alone again. "We'd better hurry up," she said in a thick voice. 

{ Should Poppypaw be expecting kits of her own from her brief time with Birdfall? ;3 Or shall Sablepaw, after she becomes Sabletail? }

Feralwind nodded, "it is a little crowded, I dont think it can fit another warrior!" he said, "Windrush and Wishcomet didnt even get nests." he said.

Moonsong nodded, "okay." she purred, padding to Dreamsplash's den. The medicine cat was in the back of her den, grabbing some poppy seeds for the returning warriors in case they wanted them. She glanced at Moonsong and flicked her tail, "Ill be right there." she said. She set the Poppy Seeds down when she joined Moonsong. She sniffed the air, "hey Moonsong." she began, "are you expecting kits?" she asked. Moonsong blinked in suprise, "Am I?" she asked, then shook her head, "I mean, I am! are you sure?" Dreamsplash predded Moonsong side gently with her nose, "pretty sure." she said with a smile, "congratulations." Moonsong just sat down in a slight daze.

Finchtail shook her head, "no. I don't think I'm going back. My entire family is dead, and Adderstrike doesnt want me here very much. I think I should just go." she said, gently setting down her deceased brother.

Sablepaw laughed lightly. "He's sharing with Lionfur, I think." She felt a little jealousy prickle in her stomach, but she said nothing.

Wolfstar poked his head back out of his den nervously. He wanted to know if Moonsong was hurt so badly... He padded over to the medicine cat's den, peeking in nervously. "Sorry to intrude... I was just a little worried..."

Poppypaw dropped Birdfall's scruff gently, eyes wide. "No! No! You can't leave!" he voice was high-pitched with stress. "You're the only one left who understands me!" She started to quiver slightly. "Will you at least stay until he's buried?"

~

Snakepaw purred, rubbing his head against Wishcomet's shoulder. "I'm going to go take a nap. I'll catch you later." He did feel dead on his feet. He padded into the apprentice's den with a flick of his tail.

~

Lionfur blinked a few times. "I'm going out hunting," she told Windrush. "I'll catch you later... unless you want to come with."

Feralwind shrugged, "well you will need a nest, and so will Wishcomet." he pointed out.

"tell you what." Finchtail said, "every other night, at Moonhigh, if you want to talk, i will meet you at the edge of the forest. Okay?" she said.

__

Dreamsplash smiled, "I will leave you two alone for a minute." she said, padding out of the den to see if Sablepaw and Feralwind were back yet.

__

Moonsong purred, then looked over at Wolfstar, "so guess what." she said, she planned to make him guess untill he figured it out, "whats small and furry as a mouse?" she asked.((he should say something like, uh, a vole? XD))

__

Wishcomet dipped her head to Snakepaw as he left.

__

Windrush chuckled, "do you even have to ask?" he said, standing up and padding after her.

"That's only if I become a warrior," she pointed out. Sablepaw stretched herself out, careful not to move her tail. She frowned, looking slightly uncomfortable. She was noticing that she was starting to get a little bit on the pudgy side. 

She ignored it, though, and blinked at Dreamsplash. "I think she's looking for you, Feralwind."

Poppypaw nodded, smiling faintly through the thick feeling of loss. "I'll see you whenever I can get out of camp," she promised. She picked up Birdfall's scruff again, blinking at Finchtail once before disappearing through the entrance way.

~

Wolfstar frowned, slightly confused. "Um...a vole? A rabbit? A rat?" He smiled. "Tell me when I'm getting close."

~

He curled up in his nest, falling asleep almost immediately. Panic overwhelmed him when he woke up in the dark forest. Snakepaw's eyes got wide as Tigerstar stepped out of the bushes. He stuttered an excuse, but the angry tom cut him off. "Silence."

~

Lionfur smiled. They took one of the more secret exits out, to get a little privacy. They didn't run into Poppypaw. "Let's spend the night out of camp," she said a little suddenly. "Get away from everything." 

Feralwind nudged Sablepaw, "after today, you deserve to be a warrior. he said, then padded over to Dreamsplash.

"I heard you wanted some poppy seeds." the siamerse-looking shecat meowed, setting down a dock leaf with a few of the tiny seeds in it."

Feralwind nodded, "thanks." he said, nomming eating the seeds then padding to his nest in the warriors den, falling asleep quickly.

Dreamsplash padded over to Sablepaw, "and how do you feel, would you like som poppyseeds?" she asked.

Finchtail smiled at Poppypaw, "best of luck to you little one." she whispered, before turning and vanishing into the forest.

__

Adderstrike 'appeared' beside Poppypaw, using his ninja skillz and asked, "wasnt Finchtail with you?" he asked.

__

Moonsong rolled her eyes, "you getting farther." she said.

__

Dreamsplash twitched her ears. she glanced around with a worried glance, suddenly sensin Tigerstar's anger. She stammered and excuse to Sablepaw, that was jsut a jumble of words. the only part that made sense was, "i've got to go." she vansihed outside of camp, runningthrough the forest untill she found some Poppy Flowers. She quickly ate some of the seeds and felt the effect almost immeadeately((Poppy seeds make a cat drowsy right? XD)) and fell asleep. She appreered in the Dark Forest. She stepped in front of Snakepaw and hissed at Tigerstar, "back off." she hissed, fur standin on end, "you will leave this apprentice alone or face my wrath."

Tigerstar snickered, "and what is the little Medicine Cat going to do?" he asked, taking a step closer and towering over her. Draemsplash hissed again and slashed her razor shapr claws across his muzzle. to a Star Clan cat, you wouldnt feel a thing, but this was the Dark Forest, a place on lonlyness and pain and Tigerstar leapt back with a yowl of both pain and suprise. Dreamsplash crouched low in front of Snakepaw, ready to spring again if needed.

Windrush brushed against Lionpaw as he walked beside her, "sounds perfect to me." he said with a smile.

Poppypaw looked at him, eyes brimming with emotion. "She didn't want to come back with me," she said quietly. "She said she's leaving the Clan."

Snakepaw got hold of himself, coiling his body into a crouch. He snarled, drawing himself next to Dreamsplash. His eyes were on Tigerstar, but he mumbled a quiet thank you to the Medicine Cat. "We're tired of this," he hissed, fluffing out his fur. "And I'm tired of making up excuses for Wishcomet, telling her why I'm so tired. Why I'm acting so weird." He unsheathed his claws. "Find some other cats to pick on."

Lionfur rubbed against him, too, purring gently. "Know anywhere we can spend the night without being interrupted?" She said, eyes bright. "Say, an abandoned fox den?"

~

Wolfstar frowned. "Birds? Fish? Cats?"

~

Sablepaw opened her mouth, about to ask for some, until she disappeared. "Oh. Okay then..." she mumbled, creeping into the apprentice's den. She curled up in her nest, falling asleep. 

Adderstrike was sturck with mixed emotions. He may not have wanted Finchtail as a mate, but having her gone still stung a little. He sighed and nodded his head, padding away to his corner of camp to sulk.

__

Tigerstar hissed and hsi amber eyes flashed. But he vanished, all except his voice, "you will regret your decision." his voice echoed, "in one way or another." Dreamsplash glanced at Snakepaw, "wake up now, its still not safe." she hissed, disappearign as she woke up, surrounded by poppy flowers. she stood up and shook her fur, slinking back into camp quietly.

Windrush smiled, "in fact, I know just the place. me and Oakfeather found it moons ago on my first hunting trip, its an old abandononed fox den." he said with a wink.

__

Moonsong laughed, "the last one was closest." she said.

Snakepaw was startled, but a little soothed. He ignored Dreamsplash's request; he knew his body needed the rest. He padded through the dark forest until he came to the edge of it. Beyond, the ground disappeared and stars spanned out in every direction. He put a paw out cautiously, pressing it on the area where the ground would have been.

It was solid. Invisible, but solid nonetheless. Pleased, Snakepaw left the dark forest behind and started to dash across the stars. Without warning, a large tabby stopped him. His fur shone with starlight. "Hello, Son."

Poppypaw dragged Birdfall into the center of camp, then put him down gently. She began to smooth out his fur, and arranged him so he looked like he was sleeping. Her heart, or what was left of it, throbbed painfully as she curled up next to him.

~

"That sounds good," Lionfur said. "Show me the way."

~

Wolfstar frowned, thinking for a moment. "Clan cats? Rogues? Elders? Kits?" There was silence. "Kits...." 

Dreamsplash padded up to Poppypaw and sat down. She pressed her nose into Birdfall's fur, "its a shame you had to leave so soon." she whispered to him, somehow, she knew he was listening. SHe glanced at Poppypaw, "she needs you. I will always remember you as well. we werent very good friends, but for some reason, I feel like, when you died, a part of me did too. But Limefeather says thats normal." she laughed dryly, "or I could be crazy. I'm just sorry I got there too late to save you." she finihsed. Part of her wondered if Poppypaw could hear her, but she pushed the thought from her mind. She didnt care.((im loving Dreamsplash right now >:D its time for her to redeem herself in the eyes of her clan!!))

Windrush smiled and began to pad toward teh old den that he and Oakfeather had found when he was just a kit. He was shocked he remembered the way. Once he was there, he noticed at smelled faintly of Oakfeather and Cougarfeatehr and he rolled his eyes, shaking his head.

Wolfstar was silent for a good while. "Oh. Thats..." he searched for words. "Great!" His eyes got brighter. He was excited. Kits. His kits. He rasped his tongue over her ear. Their kits. "Oh this is wonderful! When do you move into the nursery? It's been empty for so long."

Lionfur purred, following him in, and rubbed against him affectionately. "Looks like someone beat us to it," she teased, purring.

* WHOOP. Skipping her now ;D *

Poppypaw could hear her, but said nothing. She mumbled things quietly to Birdfall under her breath, feeling like it was hard to breath. This made it official. He was gone.

~

Oakfeather woke up, blinking a few times lazily, then poked Cougarfeather gently with one paw. "We should get you checked out by Dreamsplash," he said quietly. "I just had an idea. But I want to affirm it." He nosed her softly. "Come on!"

Moonsong chuckled, "not for a few weeks yet I think." she purred, standing up and padding out of the Medicine cat's den, "I'm just exited to have kits of my own." she said.

Dreamsplash got up and padded toward her den slowly, touching Poppypaw gently on the shoulder with her tail in a commforting manner before she left.

__

Cougarfeather got up and yawned, stretching out her stiff muscles. they were sore now that the fighitng was over, "what the rush?" she asked sleepily. Her belly rumbled, "can't I eat something first?" she asked.

{ I'm too lazy to continue with Lionfur and Windrush. xD We know what happens. We'll leave it at that. XD }

Poppypaw didn't move, and only pressed her nose into his cold fur. It smelled like death, which made her feel sicker.

Oakfeather groaned, rolling onto his back in a manner that must have reminded her of an impatient kit. "Fine. But hurry up!" He got onto his feet, shaking out his thick tabby fur. 

~

Wolfstar followed, grinning widely. "I'm excited too!" he said, tail waving in the air like a flag. "This is wonderful news!"

~

Limefeather pressed her nose into Birdfall's fur, muttering her condolences, and then disappeared back into the elder's den with only a small glance at Adderstrike.

~

Sablepaw twitched in her sleep. <-- :O EXCITING

~

Snakepaw was confused. "Dad?" he said, eyes wide. "I don't get it. You're..." He blinked a few times, smiling slowly at Chestnutclaw's amused ex
pression. "Oh. This is a dream." His father nodded.

He was a tall, golden tom with black stripes. He had Poppypaw's golden eyes. He blurted out, "Your eyes look like Poppypaw's!"

He laughed, "Poppypaw. Sweet young she-cat." He frowned, looking a little sad. "I saw that Birdfall has joined her ranks. Send my condolences to her, would you?" Snakepaw nodded. "I have somebody to introduce you to," he added on. "You never knew him... he died when you were little."

A small golden kit with black stripes stumbled between the two. He had Limefeather's signature green eyes, which were shared with Snakepaw. "Is this...?"

"your brother," he said quietly. "He died before your mother could get him back to camp. Only you and your sister survived."

There was silence before Snakepaw and his unknown brother started to tumble and play together, Chestnutclaw standing aside, looking pleased.

"Alright, Alright!" Cougarfeather said eating a mouse in two quick gulps before turning to Oakfeather, "fast enought for you?" she asked.

Dreamsplash padded into her den, tail dragging on the ground with a fresh wave of guilt. She had p*censored*ed Wolfstar and Moonsong on the way in, and had been happy for the pretty white she-cat, but still blamed herself for Birdfalls death. She padded to the back of her den where there was a small pool of water that seemed to glow in the dark den at night. her own Moonpool. But for now, the water was dark, and she couldnt even see her own reflection. She tauched her tailtip to the water and watched the soft ripples cascade against the waters smooth surface.

__

Moonsong blinked then tilted her head, "mind if we keep it on the low for now? I jsut don't want everyone to know until I move into the nusery. I get treated differently enought as it is." she said.

Wolfstar looked a little put out, but excited nonetheless. "Okay, okay," he said, smiling. "But you can't blame me if I accidentally let it slip!" He thought of somebody he wanted to tell... somebody he was close to....

But he came up dry. He had no close friends anymore. That's when he thought of Oakfeather, his long-lost friend. He would tell him. Perhaps that would mend the gap between them.

"Yes!" Oakfeather said, pacing. "Come on! Come on! Let's goooooo!" He started to trot across the camp, heading for Dreamsplash's den. His ears were flicking rapidly.

~

Snakepaw called a hasty goodbye to his father and brother, and started to pad back into the dark forest, when Sablepaw popped up. She seemed ruffled and unhappy. "What are you doing in my dreams?" he asked her, confused.

Sablepaw shrugged, starting to walk in step with him. "Do I look fat?" she said, frowning to herself.

Snakepaw blinked. She did look like she'd gained a bit of weight, but nothing too serious. "No. You smell weird though." He frowned. "But that might be because you're sightless, though, 'cause Moonsong smells the same way as you." 

Moonsong sat down, "you better not." she said, staring at him with her sightless blue eyes.

Cougarfeatehr trailed after him, she had to start to jog to keep up.

Sablepaw sat upright, scenting the air for a moment. She wasn't in the scary forest with Snakepaw anymore. She was sitting in the apprentice's den. Her heart hammered in her chest. She got up, and wandered into the clearing again. Snakepaw was still sleeping.

Probably gone back to speak to his family, she thought sadly. I wish I'd seen my mum and dad..

"Dreamsplash!" oakfeather called loudly, pushing his way into her den. "come here!"

Wolfstar frowned at her. "Not even Oakfeathrt?" he added on with a frown, "I know you're going to tell your sister!" 

((brilliance. Ummm. Cloudfeatehr should look like the she-cat versoin of Wolfstar. and Mudsplash could be the female version of Oakfeather XD))

Dreamsplash jumped, slipping and falling into her pool of water. She climbed out, et from the shoulder down. She started to shake out her fur and padded toward Oakfeather, "thanks a lot." she mutteredflicking some of the water from her thick tail into his muzzle, "was yelling really necessary?" she asked, "you nearly scared me so much my fur fell off!" she said, stiing down and licking the water off of her paws, "so can I help you?" she glanced at Cougarfeather, who sat next to Oakfeather looking just as baffled as Dreamsplash was. ((shes so easy to get in depth with XD))

Moonsong shook her head, "I'm not going to tell Cougarfaether, cross my heart." she said.

Wolfstar gave her a dirty look. "Fine. I won't tell Oakfeather either."

"Tell me what's different about Cougarfeather," Oakfeather said, ignoring her previous comments. "Take a deep whiff in, Dreamsplash." His eyes were bright. "And then say what you're thinking out loud!"
