Wolfstar bit back a snarl, trying not to let her words bite too deep. His siblings were none of the clan's business anyways. It wasn't as if it were life threatening.

Poppypaw said nothing, letting the tip of her tail settle in the water. She moved it in slow circles, as if stirring something. "What I feel," she said quietly. "Is nobody's concern but my own."

Lionfur burned under her pelt, and trying not to look too embarra ssed, forced a small laugh and sat down. She bit into the rabbit shyly, realizing that this was the first time Windrush had said something of this sort in front of other cats; had he not considered their relationship 'official' before?

"good point," Oakfeather rumbled. "But how will we obtain this information?"

"Or, you could just make him a warrior already. I'm sure that his new mentor, Wishcomet, would agree he's more than ready." She laughed. "I'm sure he's more than eager to move into the warrior's den with her."

Sabletail smiled, thinking idly about how odd he was acting; before he was quiet and mellow. Now he was perky and joyous. She said nothing, however; perhaps the thought that he was going to be a father had just settled in.

Moonsong shook her head, "not true." seh said, "the clan works and functions as one, if there is something wrong with one part, everything is off bablance." she said, "its like when you hurt your leg, and it makes doing everythign else harder."

Cougarfeather lashed her tail, "thats the hard part. We will have to figure out what we can at gatherings, and jsut watch our surroundings very carefully."

Adderstrike chuckled, "He will be ready soon I think. He learns very fast."

"Why didn't we know about the dogs faster? Why was Bir-he out alone? Where was everyone else? Why was no-one in camp, and yet nobody was there fast enough to save him? Where is he now? Why hasn't he come to visit anyone? Why can't I get some peace-and-stinking-quiet?" Poppypaw stood up, then, shaking her head. "Maybe if I get some answers, I'll clean up my act. But not until then."

Oakfeather chuckled. "I vote for doing some spy work," he suggested playfully.

"That he does," Limefeather mumbled. "He picks up on his surroundings and role models very quickly.." 

"We didnt know about the dogs because we were upwind, yes he was alone, we had no idea he was in trouble, so nobody was expecting him to be. The whole Clan was doing something. Hes in StarClan, and not all cats come back to visit unless they have reason." Moonsong said, violet eyes cold, "there are your answers."

Cougarfeather laughed, feeling some of the tension go away, "oh yeah, because you're so sneaky." she teased. A thought played in the back of her mind, He might not be, but Snakepaw and Adderstrike definately are.

"Role models?" adderstrike said, whiskers twitching, "I don't think he idolizes anyone here." he said with a small laugh.

Limefeather rose with a frown, shaking out her fur unhappily. "Alright," she said. "I've got to go talk to Wolfstar about something anyways."

Oakfeather snorted. "I wasn't suggested myself, silly. Maybe one of the apprentices, like Poppypaw or Snakepaw. And maybe a warrior."

Adderstrike  tilted his head, "and what would that be?"

"An apprentice?" Cougarfeather gasped, "no way, Its too dangerous, but maybe a warrior. I can think of one who would be great for the job actually." she said.

Limefeather grinned teasingly at him as she slipped out of the elder's den. "None of your business~"

"No cat should go alone," Oakfeather insisted stubbornly. "At least with an apprentice or another warrior there, another cat can run to get help if something goes wrong."

Limfeather. Oakfeather thought about his almost-sister for a moment. "Perfect," he said a little bit too cheerfully. "Now we just have to break the news to them."
