Wolfstar sat ontop of highrock, watching with sorrowful eyes as the last of the StoneClan warriors left, dragging the dead behind them. He moved his gaze to Adderstrike's body, which was laying in the middle of camp, Limefeather laying unmovingly beside it. Snakepaw was also sitting near. 

They'd lost a great warrior today, and the friendship that he had created with Sunstar would no longer stand. He looked around for Moonsong, longing to hear her beautiful voice again.

Limefeather had her face buried in Adderstrike's fur, not moving, hardly breathing. Why did StarClan insist on taking everything she had away from her? Why Adderstrike? She let her mind run wild, refusing to close her eyes for even a moment. She wouldn't fall asleep on him. 

I'll love you no matter what...

Something in her stomach stirred, making her feel nausious.

Oakfeather laid on his side, eyes closed as he tried to control his breathing. Bites marks on his neck and shoulders were leaking blood, the scratches on his stomach even more so. He was tired, and he let his heart reach out to those who needed it; Limefeather, and Feralwind.

Snakepaw sat next to his first mentor, eyes steadily focused on him. There was an empty pit in his chest he knew he'd never be able to fill. Despite having mixed feelings about Adderstrike, he had looked up to him; envied his ability to move soundlessly, his strength, speed and size. But now he didn't envy him at all as he stared at the lifeless corpse of the once-great silver tom. He just wanted him back.

Poppypaw was in the apprentices den, golden eyes trained on the entrance, as if she expected someone to come waltzing in at any moment. Perhaps she did expect Birdfall to show up and congratulate her on her fighting skill, but deep down she knew that would never happen. She'd never see him again; in this world or the next.

Sabletail could feel the scratches on her stomach, which worried her, but she knew they weren't very deep. She sniffed out Feralwind, padding up to him with a gentle ex
pression on her face. "I'm so sorry about your brother, Feralwind," she mewed, eyes sad. "He was a great cat."

Lionfur sat next to Windrush, glad that he was still with her. But she felt for Limefeather and Feralwind; they'd lost a loved one, and that left a wound that could never be healed. "You know I love you, right?" she said nervously, as if scared to recieve the answer. Her blue eyes watched her mate carefully.

Sabletail couldn't help but feel hurt. She pulled back, ears pinned to her head. "Fine then," she replied curtly. "I'll leave you alone." Standing up, she stalked away from him angrily. All she had tried to do was comfort him. Sitting down inside the nursery, she snorted. Fine then. Let him be bitter. I don't need him anyways. She started to put together a nest to busy herself, mind wandering off.

"Of course," Lionfur breathed, heart fluttering in her chest like a trapped bird. She found it hard to believe that Adderstrike was dead; it almost didn't add up in her head. He was too fast, too sneaky, too unpredictable for the rest of the Clan to keep tabs on him. How on earth did another warrior do this to him?

"Probably," Oakfeather mused, flicking his ears at Dreamsplash. "Though I suppose it wouldn't be a good idea to try." He sighed, letting his body relax, listening carefully. He wanted to hear Cougarfeather's voice again, but knew she was probably doing other things.

Wolfstar nodded in regards to his mate, eyes suddenly cold when Cougarfeather appeared. "What would you like me to do, Cougarfeather? Any sort of attack at this point would be suicide. We've got too many injured cats, and with some she-cats expecting kits we're lucky we even survived this time." He shook his head. "No. As far as Silverstep is concerned," he paused. "I want nothing to do with it." 

He stood up, then, vanishing inside his den. Wolfstar wanted to be alone.

Snakepaw leaned against Wishcomet, yearning for her support. "Let's go hunting," he said, voice thick. "I don't want to sit around and watch this."

"Then I'll go on my own," Snakepaw said, tone hinting at annoyance. "I usually do anyways." He stood up and brushed past her and his mother, who didn't look up, florescent green eyes dark and angry. He wanted nothing more than to sit by his favourite river, alone, and think about everything. Maybe even have a little chat with Tigerstar.

"Might?" Oakfeather exclaimed, voice tinged with sarcasm. He bit down on his tongue to keep from hissing out loud and opened one eye to look at her. "I was trying to be everywhere at once. Near Wolfstar, near Limefeather, near Cougarfeather... What a bad idea that was." He laughed, half-heartedly, and said, "So what's the verdict? Am I gonna live?"

"Wouldn't we all?" Lionfur said gently. "This is just... so horrible. I'm glad everyone else is okay though." Pressing her face into his fur, she added quietly, "I'm glad you're okay."
