Sablepaw listened, still a little dazed and disorientated from her headache. "Poor Limefeather..." she mumbled. She stumbled around to go sit next to Feralwind.

Poppypaw stared at her mother, golden eyes huge like disks. She was completely speachless.

Snakepaw slid out of the apprentice's den after Wishpaw, eyes bleak. Dreamsplash had set him up. Got him all excited to find out who his mother was, just to dash his hopes when he found out she was no good.

Wolfstar curled his lip at Dreamsplash, but said nothing. He just sat on the highrock, looking destroyed and unhappy. His eyes were on his paws.

Lionpaw nudged her mentor. "Moonsong; I know you can feel his mood. Go cheer him up. I'll come too, if you want."

Limefeather didn't move. "Go away," she whispered. "Go away, Adderstrike. I hate you. I hate everyone. I hate Dreamsplash, and Wolfstar, and Chestnutclaw, and Poppypaw, and Snakepaw, and everyone else. Myself included." She considered clawing him. "Go away."

Oakfeather splashed her back, fur suddenly prickling. "Cougarfeather," he mumbled, growing serious. "Something is wrong at camp. I can feel it. Can you?"

Moonsong nodded, "I know. I can smell his frustration. But I don't think he wants to see me."

Cougarfeather nodded, "but it seems more like we missed whatever it is." she said.

Adderstrike curled his lip and bared his teeth angrily, "good. It just proves I was right. Never trust anyone, because no matter how much you care, they just hurt you in the end." he growled, turning and limping away.

Wispaw let her tail rest on Snakepaw's shoulder, "hey! cheer up! at least you get to meet your mother. My mother died when i was a little kit. And Limefeather's not that bad." she said, trying to cheer ihm up.

Feralwind sighed, "poor Poppypaw and Snakepaw. Now I bet some of the clan wont like them..." he trailed off.

__

Windpaw watched in momentary shock, then sighed, paddint over to a warm rock, laying down to warm his fur.

Lionpaw shook her head, frowning. "gooooo."

Oakfeather flicked his ears. "Still," he mumbled. "Perhaps we should just go back."

Limefeather still didn't move. She ignored him frostily.

Snakepaw shrugged off her tail coldly. He didn't say anything; he wanted to be along for a long, long time.

Sablepaw nodded. She said quietly, voice lined with guilt, "No offense, but I don't really trust Dreamsplash now. They way she would so ruthlessly expose Limefeather like that, just so she could be medicine cat..."

Poppypaw padded towards Windpaw, and sat down next to him. "I'm a terrible cat now, aren't I?" she asked him.

Windpaw laughed, "What makes you think that?" he asked.

Feralwind shrugged, "there are two sides to every story. Maybe Dreamsplash felt betrayed by limefeather, maybe she just wanted to tell Snakepaw and Poppypaw who their mother is. Only Dreamsplash knows. But yeah, I agree, that was a little harsh."

Cougarfeather shrugged, "if you want to," she splashed him one last time before leaping out of the river and snatching her fish and shaking out her fur.

Wishpaw sighed, laying down in her new nest with a sigh.

Adderstrike slipped into the Warrior's dne and closed his eyes. Talking to Limefeather the other day had made him realise something. He thought a silent thought to the tom who took away Finchtail. I'll Be the first to say, that not I'm okay. And for the first time, I've opened up my eyes. This was my worst love, you'll be the first to go. And when she leaves you for dead, you'll be the last to know.

"Alright!" Moonsong meowed, rolling her eyes. She leapt up onto highrock with the agility as a cat with sight. "Wolfstar, are you alright?" she murmered, laying down beside him.

Dreamsplash lay down in the back of her new den, falling asleep almost instantly. In her dreams, a burly brown-tabby tom padded up to her. His amber eyes glistened maliciously, "Dreamsplash my great great grandaughter. is it done?" he asked.

"yes Tigerstar." she small she cat purred, blue eyes glowing, "it is done."

Oakfeather snatched up his three voles, and started to pad back to camp next to her. His pelt prickled. He could feel his sister's distress coming off her in mas sive waves.

Sablepaw only nodded, bobbing her head even though she wasn't listening to him. Her mind was gone elsewhere.

Poppypaw looked at him. "My mom's a medicine cat?" She added on bitterly, "Well, sorry, EX-Medicine cat."

( OMG. o3o Snakepaw shares dreams with him too. Wouldn't it be awkward if they saw each other? )

Wolfstar blinked at Moonsong, glad that SOME cat had come to comfort him. "I don't know, Moonsong." He sighed. "I just never though...Limefeather..." He muttered, "I always thought that she looked a lot like Snakepaw, but I always pas sed over it..." He looked at her.

"Do you think I'm wrong to strip her of her duties? StarClan does still speak to her frequently, but..." He blinked his misty blue eyes at her.

Lionpaw shook off her fears, and padded over to Windpaw and Poppypaw. "Hey everyone," she mewed, bobbing her head. "What's going on?"

Limefeather finally got herself to her feet, and pushed herself through the crowd to slink into the empty Elder's den. She curled up again, and didn't move.

Moonsogn shrugged, "well, she did break the wrrior code. I don't disagree with your actions, but I dont know what I would have done." she sighed, "I uess we will have to see how this all play out." she said, with a small smile.

Windpaw sighed, "poppypaw. it doesnt matter who your parents are. You are not your parentls." he said, looking up to see Lionpaw, and nodded his head in greeting, "we are jsut talking." he said.

Cougarfeather looked around the camp and set down her fish, "what in StarClan's name is going on here?" she asked in bewilderment. Blood was spattered on the ground and she could smell Limefeather's distress.

Feralwind looked over at Sablepaw, "are you even listening?" he teased.

Oakfeather pressed his nose to Cougarfeathers flank for a moment. "I need to see my sister," he meowed gently, hoping she'd understand. "I'll catch up to you later." As he padded towards the Elder's den, he dropped his fresh kill in the pile.

He curled up to his sister, silent as she sobbed. He only pressed his fur to her's comfortingly, and let her cry.

Poppypaw looked at him, clearly distressed. "But everyone's going to look at me differently now."

Wolfstar pressed his nose into her fur for less than a moment. "Thanks, Moonsong. It's good to be comforted sometimes, and not have to be the one comforting someone else."

Lionpaw only nodded, sitting down quietly. She shook out her fur gently, fur rubbing against her collar gently. It was clear that Poppypaw liked Windpaw, but his emotions for her weren't so clear. 

Alright, she'd lied to Moosong; she had a slight thing for Windpaw, but she wasn't going to admit that ayntime soon. "You're not any different to me, Poppypaw. If that helps."

Moonsong purred, "anytime Wolfstar. Any time you want to talk, I'm all ears." she said with a shrug.

Windpaw nodded, "I don't think anybody thinks differently of you. Just yourself." he said simply. His flexed his claws. The wind ruffled his thick, golden striped fur.

Cougarfeather padded over to Feralwind and sat down, "what's going on?" she whispered.

Feralwind filled her in on what had happened, and watched Cougarfeatehr's eyes widen more and more as he went on.

Poppypaw only stared at her paws and bobbed her head mechanically. Her mind drifted away as she flicked her ears.

Lionpaw kneaded the ground with her paws uncomfortably. "So..." she mewed, staring at the ground, trying to avoid their eyes.

Sablepaw turned her head towards Feralwind and Cougarfeather. "Huh? Oh, ugh, yeah," she mumbled, looking distant and confused. "Um.."

Wolfstar nodded, yawning to reveal sharp teeth. "Thank you, Moonsong. There's one more thing I'd like to ask you about though..." He looked down at his paws. "I'm worried about Snakepaw."

Snakepaw, seeing everyone was distracted, slipped into the shadows at the edge of the camp. He then made his way to the entrance, and left without anyone seeing him. He padded on in silence.

Moonsong twitched her eears, "what do you plan to do with him? I doubt he's too pleased to find out that his mother is, er, was a Medicine Cat..." she said softly.

Feralwind glanced at Sablepaw and purred in amusement, "well someones totally focused today." he teased lightly.

___

Windpaw yawned, "i should go talk to Oakfeather about maybe training a little. Talk to you guys later." me meowed, accidentally brushing against Lionpaw.

Sablepaw only twitched her ears in response.

A chill forced it's way up Lionpaw's spine. She glanced after him. "Bye," 

As soon as Windpaw was out of hearing range, Poppypaw hissed, "He's mine, kittypet." She looked at her with narrowed gold eyes. "So keep your paws off."

Lionpaw hissed back, standing up, "I like a challenge; though this sounds a little to easy, Poppypaw." She stalked away, tail thrashing.

((Bed time??? Oh snap.............DRAMA!!!!))

Wolfstar shook his head. "I'm worried because he's so distant; have you ever seen a kit with no energy, that was unwilling to play? He absolutely despises every cat in the clan." He twitched his whiskers. "And I'm afraid finding this out will only twist him up even more." He looked at her with dark eyes.

"And I can't help but wonder if his dreams lie in the Dark Forest."

( I was dead tired, for one, and it was like, 10:30 where I live. xD On a school night. )

Moonsong shuddered, "I hope not. All we need is another cat to betray us. What Dreamsplash did was bad enough!" she said quietly.

Windpaw looked around for Oakfeather, but gave up after only a few moments. He didnt really want to talk to his mentor, he just didnt like the tension between Lionpaw and Poppypaw. It was wierd, like nither minded the other untill they were both with him. She-cats were always so confusing.

( LOL. Poor Windpaw. :c )

 Wolfstar nodded. "Moonsong, I can trust you right?" His eyes wavered. "I want you to start watching over Dreamsplash. Closely. I'll keep a close eye on Snakepaw." He stretched and yawned a little.

Oakfeather had finally calmed his sister down, and was sharing tongues with her in silence. A raspy purr escaped his chest as he stood up. "I've gotta go." He added, "But I'll be back soon." With a hasty goodbye, he padded into the sunlight.

Moonsong nodded, "of course. But I'm not so sure Dreamsplash will ler me get away with that...." she trailed off.

Windpaw padded over to Oakfeather, "how is Limefeather?" he asked.

Wolfstar's tail lashed against the ground with a thump. "Nonsense. Dreamsplash will have to deal." His eyes flashed, then grew soft again. "But, anyways, thank you, Moonsong."

Oakfeather nodded at Windpaw. "She's..." he trailed off, looking for words. "A little better."

Moonsong purred, "No problem." she meowed quietly.

Windpaw nodded, "I wouldn't expect her to be over it yet. Who will teach her to be a warrior? You could, but I would have to become a warrior first...." he trailed off.
