She breathed a sih of relief, glad to see that Krystal had chosen sensibly. She followed Krystal out into the open air along with Niko and Maria. They were well on there way to Hawaii when Maria sudenly cried out, Snatcher!, causing Avalia's heart to stop for asecond and she folded her wings before she heard the soft laughter of Maria from behind. It was a joke and she decided not to berade the young child because, after all, she was only 9 and didn't really understand the situation. Before too long, she noticed they were flying over ocean and she spotted the cove, diving down...

OOC//:Yeah. First isn't working for me either. xD BIC//: I sighed and angled myself after Avalia. I did a quick 360 to make sure we were safe then landed on the beach, finding a hammock strung between to palm trees. It had been left by the last people on the beach. I sighed and curled up in one end of the hammock, watching my flock on the beach. I hoped I looked calm. I wasn't. I had the impending sense of doom. I felt like something horrible was watching us. I quickly swallowed the feeling as Scar landed on the edge of the hammock and settled in beside me, watching the flock with the same hawk eyes as I was. --- Salem quickly shed his clothes down to the swim trunks he'd stolen on the way over and leapt into the crystal waters with joy.

Avalia sighed and took out the picnic basket she had brought with her. It wasn't noon yet, but in about 30 seconds it would be. She thought to herself, looking down at the pocket watch she had, the last posetion of her father's. She changed into her swimsuit and dove into the water, her wings shifting into a nice sized pair of fins and her legs joining together to form one long fish tail. The gills on her neck seemed more prominent as she poked her head above water. She leaped into the air and dove down to look for interesting sights underwater...

OOC//:You think it's too early to begin the romantic stuff? Sorry for asking, lol, I'm just kinda sorta more used to romance roleplays and the fanfic I'm writing right now about Maximum Ride has so much romance in it. Lol. Oh. And this'll be my last post for a bit. Going out with the parents today for some reason. I'll post as soon as I can! It'll hopefully not be to long. Sorry! BIC//: I stroked Scar's sleek feathers absently, letting the lull of the waves crashing against the shore relax me a bit. I smiled, watching Avalia's wings shift. It was a reminder of our odd genes. Not just Avalia, but everyones. I shifted my wings a bit, loosening them and settling even more into the hammock. It felt almost to good to last.

"Hey, Niko, a little help here?" Avalia grunted, pulling herself out of the water onto the sand. Niko glanced over at his friend and grabbed a towel to help her dry off. He heated his hands a bit and dried her off from head to tail and finally, after a few of that, she was back to her odl self... ((No, not too early.))

I sighed and finally gave into the temptation, striping down to my bathing suit quickly and launching into the air quickly, flying low over the water before diving into the warm water. My wings tucked in and shed the water like a penguins. Scowling in the lukewarm water, I quickly cooled it to nearly frigid but not quite that unconfortable. Reaching out, I grabbed a brightly colored fish and shot back up out of the water with my trophy and a bright grin, I threw the fish up to Scar who was flying in graceful arcs overhead. OOC//:Lol. I'm not too sure how to start it. XD I fail so much, sorry.

Niko sared up at the glistening beauty of Krystal with the sun behind her. He smiled and stared as she caught the fish and threw it. As it fell in graceful arcs, he shot into the air so fast that the unfurling of his wings made him woozy. Taht didn't stop him though, he grabbed the fish right before it was caught by scar and held up is trophy in triumph...

I giggled at Niko and flew closer, grabbing for the fish at the same time Scar landed on his arm. She watched him with one golden eye then cawed loudly, demanding her fish back. The whole time, the fish had been flailing miserably around and now just sat there, gasping for breath, its little eyes watching everything around it. --- Salem had since taken up Kryst's spot on the hammock and lounged, swinging freely. This was the life. Although, he felt it wouldn't last much longer. He hoped he was wrong.

Niko let her have the fish and his heart fluttered when he felt her hand pass over his. Her let his wings in and dropped on all fours to the sand below. Poor fish Avalia thought, silently commenting on the fact that he hadn't even bothered to kill it before throwing it and such. Suddenly, Avalia sat straight up, the hairs on the back of her neck raised. Snatchers. she thought and ran into the alcove. She motioned for everybody to follow as she saw shapes rising from the waters...

I stared below me, watching the dark things emerge from the crystal waves. And just like that, our fun had been ruined. I growled under my breath and waited for the rest of the flock to get to the alcove before I entered, staying at the entrance. I kept my eye trained on the Snatchers. This was one of the times I wished I had two good eyes. With a sigh, I walked back to join my flock, standing next to Niko. --- Salem flew up and hid in the top of the sturdy palm tree's fronds, watching the Snatchers carefully.

Avalia watched as the leader arose from the water and looked around, his ram's head tilting from side to side. He swiveled around to face the half-fish man behind him and folded his scaled arms. "You said they were here."He said, suddenly reaching out and pulling up the man by his tunic. The fish man blubbered.
"They were, I swear. I saw exporiment 013, the mermaid mutant."
"Well....I hope for your sake that you are telling the truth.... Otherwise..." The ra gave a slitting motion across the fish's neck and turned to keep searching, his red eyes on the beach...

I narrowed my eyes as the snatchers emerged, hoping with all my might that the blackness of the alcove cloaked us from sight. Glancing around at my flock, I noticed my brother was missing. I held back a growl and hoped he wouldn't get caught. --- Salem tilted his head to the side, catching the words exchanged between the ram and fish man. A smirk crossed his face. Even if they did find the flock, they were badly outnumbered and outskilled. He, himself, had a problem. Strong winds were blowing in off the waves and the palm tree he was in was beginning to sway heavily with his added weight.

I gasped when I noticed what he was doing. "Niko! Don't do that!" Nearly shrieking, I proceeded to try and tug his arm and head apart, hoping he hadn't already damaged the arm. OOC//:I fail. At life. >.< Sorry

Some blood trickled from his arm due to his sharp cat teeth and tears stung his eyes, but not from the pain. "If I keep it, they's find me. Better to have no arm that I can heal straight away, then have an arm with a tracking bracelet" Niko sobbed quietly...

I shook my head. What a time to break down. Wrapping my arms around him, I tried to comfort him. "No it isn't. We'll find a way to get rid of the bracelet. And keep your arm in the process. But that will have to wait until after we aren't trapped here." Peering out at the snatchers, I felt I had to make a choice. Keep hiding or go out and fight. I was relieved when Salem, with a war cry, made the choice for me.
Salem leapt into the air and dived right for the ram, aiming a strong kick in before shooting back up into the air with a smirk on his face. He looked back at the alcove as all hell broke loose below him, waiting for the rest of the flock to join the fight. His smirk quickly turned into a frown at the swears and curses from the snatchers below.
