This is a private role play between me and Wolfie. I don't really care about lurk or post but don't spam. Yeah. |D
Anyways, here's the plot:
" Murrhurrhurr... I was thinking that there are these people with wings called 'Valkyries'.
And they're in the steampunk era.
So, the Valkyries are being hunted to near extinction, because they're different, and humans aren't good at coexisting with other people. It's true, man. D<
So, there's this girl that gets shot and falls out of the sky. She can't fly for a while because her wing is screwed up from the bullet, and she is discovered by this man, who helps her out. He doesn't even know she's a Valkyrie at first.
So, the man and the girl end up getting all romantic and when others figure out that the girl's a Valkyrie, they're not sure whether they want to kill the man for helping her, or kill the Valkyrie, just for having wings. "

Anyways, no bios. Bios suck like eggs.
I'm just gonna give you a deion of what she looks like. Cause I can't find a picture...
Eden is a tallish girl, standing at 5'7". Her legs are long, and her skin is a creamy tan color, though it's not too dark. Her nose is straight, and her cheekbones are high and sharp. It's obvious that she's got some Native American Indian blood running through her. Her hair is straight, and dangles around her mid-back. It is ebony, with no blue undertones. Her wings sprout from her back, making a wingspan of about thirteen feet long, and the feathers that cover the appendages are as dark as her hair. She's slim, with an athletic figure, and has curves in the right places.

So, I have this awesome idea for how she runs into Nicholas.
Let's say that Nicholas has an air ship, and Eden gets shot, making her spiral downward and thud onto his ship. Somehow, the impact doesn't kill her, because Valkyries are unusually strong and can take hits well. Nicholas is in the hull of the ship, and when he comes out to find her, she's had enough time to hide her wings and stuff.

Sounds like a plan! Air ship, as in a ship in the water right? o.o I'll have to go on google. Either that or forgive the fail posts as we start for I won't know how to describe much of anything. ;D

And an air ship, yes, as in a ship in the water that can also fly in the air. XD

Anyways, you can have the ship be on the water for the first part of the roleplay. He'll still hear her smack on the ship from falling down out of the sky.

The wind was something that had a sort of unconditional love for Valkyries. It would pick them up and let the winged people glide on it when they wanted to fly, and it would calm them, too. It would take care of them, and caress them. It would put them to sleep while they perched in the trees.
The sky was blue, and, no matter how hard humans wished, they would never touch it, because even the Valkyries couldn't touch it. It wasn't really there. If the sky was able to be touched, Eden would have flown smack into it plenty of times.
Now, travelling alone wasn't exactly the smartest things for Valkyries to do, but Eden didn't like company when she flew. They took her mind off of the wind- the one thing she could always count on. Eden had been let down many times in her life. She'd been harassed, tracked, hunted, but she'd outsmarted the others every time.
That was, until she heard a sharp bang, and felt a sharper pain in her left wing when she downstroked. The pain knocked her backwards, and she realized that she'd been shot. She could feel her feathers already being soaked with blood. It had only grazed her, and it had chipped the bone. Luckily for her, her wings would repair themselves over time, though the bullet was still lodged somewhere in her bone.
She tried to flap, but it hurt too much, and she began to fall. She knew that if she were to land on her legs, she would immediately break them. She had been swimming over the ocean, and, luckily for her, she knew how to swim, which was unusual for Valkyries.
She was convinced that she was just about to land into the water back first when she looked over her shoulder, only to see the wood and metal of an air ship. She hit the ship with a loud thud, and gasped for air, as all of the precious oxygen had been jarred from her lungs upon impact.
Was anything broken? Sure, she hurt all over, but she didn't feel any hurt bones, other than her wing. She blinked several times, and coughed. She couldn't go into the water. Not now. Someone, or something would get her. Sharks were known to patrol this area, and pirates wouldn't resist taking advantage of an injured female Valkyrie- especially one as pretty as Eden.
She reached for her jacket, which she had tied around her hips, and slipped it over her head, folding her wings against her back with a wince. The jacket fluttered out around her, and her clothes consisted of a corset, which wasn't too tight, given that she had to fly with it on, and a pair of short shorts with thigh-high leather boots and black stockings that covered the sliver of skin between the edge of her shorts and the top of her boots.
Eden audibly growled to herself as she stood, stumbling around.
The wind had let her down.

And, can I just make Nick old enough to be able to drive the ship or whatever? Or were these things made for transportation, so a lot of people will be on them?

The ocean was quiet today. No storm was passing, just the sun beating on my face with a beautiful sky ahead. There was a steady breeze that made the water rock the ship a bit but nothing to big. It was a relaxing day. I loved these days, where I didn't even have to steer the ship. I could just relax - close by the 'wheel' just in case anything did happen - but for the most part, I just let the water rock the ship, rocking me right to sleep.
I had been laying on the floor of the ship, by the 'wheel', when a hard thud woke me from my light sleep. I blinked groggy brown eyes, the sun glaring down at them. I squinted, pushing my blonde hair away from my face as I stood up with only one question on my mind.
What was that?
I turned around to see a girl, stumbling around. What had happened? Common sense told me she was the one that woke me. Coming over, but keeping my distance, I gave her a friendly smile.
"Well hello there."
I said, my English accent dripping with every word. I took my hat from my head, holding the rim with both hands as I kept kind brown eyes focused on her. "How did a lassie like yourself aboard my ship?"
I guessed she had sneaked in my ship when I wasn't looking before I took off. Though this was a private ship, and I could press charges for her sneaking in, I was too easy going to care much that she snuck in. Hey, the more the merrier in my book.
[[I didn't know if he should have seen her fall, so I'll have him assume that she snuck in instead of fell from the sky. ]]

Eden's ears were ringing from her fall. All she could hear was the ringing. She tried to steady herself multiple times, but she couldn't. She grabbed onto the rail that bordered the edge of the ship. The ringing was starting to go away, but she still couldn't hear very well.
When the ringing completely subsided, she heard a voice from somewhere near her. She jumped, and whirled around, facing the man that had snuck up on her. He was tall- taller than her by some good inches- and quite handsome. If it weren't for the fact that she was a Valkyrie, and that he was a human- she could tell by the way he carried himself- she would actually attempt to flirt her way out of this.
When he spoke to her again, asking how a 'lassie' got on his ship, she resisted the urge to tilt her head to the side like a puppy. Her dark brown eyes looked him over from head to toe. She wasn't used to having people talk to her so openly. Of course, she had hidden her wings and all, so she was relatively safe.
Still, the thought of the man being a pirate scared her. But now that she looked, he didn't look like a pirate... Even so, if he wanted to hurt her, he could easily overpower her in her current state.
She found that she was staring for a while, so she shook her head to break herself from her daze, and said, "Um... I hid in a barrel at the port... Men were chasing me, very bad men..." She sniffled, trying to make herself cry. It didn't work, but she looked lost and sad. "I hid in a barrel, and I guess it got loaded onto your ship, sir. I'm very sorry..." It was a plausible lie, and one that was relatively believable. Only the best of lie-detectors could sniff it out, really.
