"Good, does it hurt too bad?" She asked caringly but really, Amber wanted to know what the two of them were thinking. So as she gently sat Axel's leg into her lap she tapped into both of their thoughts and began to listen.

Axel sighed and looked around. Amber is so freakin cute! Maybe I should ask her out. Axel then looked at Danger and smiled, knowing Danger and him were thinking almost the same thing.

Hearing that made Amber smile. She really liked him to, being with him had made Kirk's death bearable. She didn't care that up until yesterday he was a stranger. Hoping he would understand what happened, she just looked at him and spoke one word. "Yes."

Axel looked at her and grinned. "Really?" He asked. His grin had turned into a soft smile as he looked at her. Danger smiled and nudged Axel before nodding his head at Axel's question.

She nodded and echoed him. "Really." Smiling she decided she would tell him why. "I know we just met and everything, but you've really helped me get through losing one of my close friends. You're clever, funny, and cute as can be. What girl would say no to that?"

Axel smiled and chuckled. "Trust me. Plenty of girls have said no to me" He said, kissing her cheek. "You are the most sweetest, kind, caring, and cutest girl ever" Axel said, smiling softly.

She giggled and lay down beside him. "I hope your leg gets to feeling better, just let me know when you're ready to walkand we'll find a cottage or something out here where we can get some supplies. Plus, I'm out of food. We'll need that as well."

The mention of Kirk made her tear up but she smiled and nodded. "I know he would be. He was such a good guy." A single tear rolled down her cheek onto Axel's arm that was around her. |

Amber nodded and rose to her feet then held out her hands to help him up. "We need to find food, something to put on your wound, and a place to sleep. It may take some time and distance. You sure you're ready for that?" She asked Axel, concern clouding her voice.

"I can handle anything now that I have you" Axel smiled. He took her hand and slowly stood up. Danger stood up and walked over to the two.Danger got down and looked at Amber. Axel got onto Danger's back and helped Amber on.

"You two stay here. I'll go talk to the residents." Hopping off of Danger's back, Amber made her way to the front doorstep of the cottage to request permission to eat and lodge there. |
