And. Tch. Yeah, that vampies gonna hold some grudge. xD Butanyway. The way I've rped vampires before is that they have to exchange blood to turn someone into a vampire, but if you want to do it differently, just say so and I'll edit. :3]]

The once unharmed vampire now had crushed ribs, and was rasping even as he stood up. The other vampire faired no better; he couldn't even get up off the ground with his leg in the state it was in. The only one that was in any fit state to fight at all was the one who was holding Annabeth.

''Sorry, pup, but I really am hungry.'' The vampire grinned malevolently, revealing two razor sharp fangs, before pulling the terrified girl towards himself and brushing her hair out of the way. Baring his fangs, he bit down and pierced her soft skin, crimson liquid trickling down in stark contrast with her pale neck. Even through being bitten, she remained silent and unmoving, and blatantly refused to open her eyes at all. She didn't know what was going on, or why these people who didn't bleed were talking to a wolf like it was a person, why one of them was now... biting her... She didn't understand any of it.

Annabeth opened her eyes, though she barely knew what happened; the man biting her had been knocked away, and there was the huge wolf in front of her in his place. Her heart stopped as it nudged her; even though it had just knocked away the thing biting her, it was still a huge wolf, and she'd seen with her own eyes what it could do. The fact that she should probably run wired through to her brain, but she couldn't seem to bring her feet to move. All she could do was bring a hand up to her neck and feel the crimson liquid- warm against her skin- trickle through her fingers.

The vampire was much more mobile. He wiped the blood off his mouth using his sleeve, but when he grinned, his teeth still had red on the ends of his fangs. ''Come on now, pup, I was just havin' a taste...'' He complained, grinning even broader as the less injured of the other two vampires walked up to join him. The last one remained on the floor, giving barely audible high-pitched squawks every now and again.

The vampires glanced up as the moon became revealed, and for the briefest of moments, a look of fear flashed across their features. It was quickly replaced with a look of hatred for the beast standing between them and their next meal, however. ''If you know what's good for you, pup, you'll leave now.'' The apparant leader snarled, and his comrade suddenly kicked his heels off the ground and lunged at the wolf once more, snapping and clawing at the animal.

The leading vampire took what he saw as an opportunity to leap past the wolf and other vampire, towards the young woman stood behind them. Annabeth herself was quite literally trembling; she'd never seen anything as terrifying as the huge wolf before. At least, not in real life.

The lead vampire clutched his neck, before scrambling to his feet and taking one last glance at the werewolf. Convinced the odds were stacked against him, the vampire made a run for it, as fast as his legs would carry him, which was pretty damn fast.

The last vampire had clawed out wildly as he had fallen, shredding through the girl's jacket like it was nothing and leaving deep scratches on her arm. He then stood up and turned to 'bravely' face the monster, but when he realised that his leader was gone, quickly looked for a chance to escape. Running up the wall until he was on the roof, he leaped from rooftop to rooftop, until he was out of range of anything the wolf might do. The most badly injured of the vampires had crawled away long ago.

Annabeth herself had fallen to the floor when she'd been shoved, but she still had her hand clasped to her neck. She finally found the ability to move, and pushed herself shakily to her feet, leaning against the wall with her free hand. She had her head down, but looked up to stare directly at the wolf.

Annabeth watched in fascination as the wolf whined before taking a step towards her. She might've run at that point, had it not sat down and given a heavy, almost human-like sigh. She knew she should've run anyway; It had torn the flesh from the bones of the men who had just left without a moment's hesitation. How could she be sure it wouldn't just turn around and do the same to her? Still, her curiosity got the better of her, and even as she heard sirens blaring in the distance, she took a staggered step towards the beast, and held out her hand as if she were going to stroke it. Amusing, really, the idea of stroking such a huge beast, as if it were no bigger than a household dog.

Annabeth watched as a police car pulled up near the entrance of the alley, and she could see red and blue lights flashing around the corner. It looked like she was going to have a little explaining to do. A policeman walked up to her, and she could see his eyes widen in surprise. Being called out for a noise disturbance didn't usually mean a lot of blood, it seemed.

She remained silent even as he started questioning her, paying no attention to any of his questions, or those of the other police that walked up to her. She was thinking about the huge wolf. She had touched it, and it hadn't tried to kill her... No, it'd just run away.
''Miss? Miss, you really need to answer this. You're going to have to make a statement.'' She came back to life to the sound of an impatient policeman trying to get her to speak. She looked up with a look of confusion and puzzlement on her face, but didn't say anything other than a confused ''What?''.

''Hey, you there, come 'ere!'' A policeman who had been waiting by the
entrance to the alley pointed at Liam, and motioned with his hand for the man to walk over to him. He thought he saw blood on the man's pants, but wasn't one hundred percent, and wanted a better look, just to make sure.

''I asked did you see your attackers, miss.'' The policeman repeated, gritting his teeth at the lack of a response.
''I'm not sure... maybe... No... I don't remember.'' She replied softly, before mumbling something nearly inaudable about a giant wolf saving her. The policeman sighed and shook his head, turning to his partner.
''I don't think we're going to get anywhere tonight. D'you reckon we should just take her to her home and go back in the morning?'' His partner shrugged his shoulders in reply.
''I don't see how. We can't get enough words that make sense out of her to even find out where she lives.''

''Yes, you can. D'you mind telling me what that is on your pants? Or why you're out so late at night?'' The officer narrowed his eyes at Liam, before flipping out a notepad and a pencil. ''And I'm going to need your name, address, and home phone number as well.''

''Well, we'll have to do something. Have there been any reports on missing persons lately, or is it too soon, d'you think?'' The officer ran a hand through his hair, deciding to try again. ''Miss, if you want to go home tonight, we're going to need your address.'' He tried to sound patient, but it was obvious he wasn't.
''Check her pockets, Donald, she might have a mobile phone or something.'' The other officer looked at the girl a moment before choosing the best course of action.
''Alright, miss, I'm going to remove your jacket now, try not to be alarmed.'' He slipped the already un-buttoned jacket off her shoulders, revealing the scratches down her arm that were still wet.

''Paint, eh? Where d'you work? And actually, I do mind. It's classified information.'' The policeman wrote down Liam's name into the notepad, before looking back up at him. ''And I'm afraid I do still need the rest of your information.''

Donald looked slightly startled for a moment at the sight of the scratches, but didn't comment. He stuck his hands into the pockets of her coat, and eventually had a triumphant look on his face as he pulled out a mobile.
''Miss, I'm going to need to go through your contacts, alright?'' The officer said, as he was already searching through them. He didn't expect a reply, and nor did he get one.
