"Oh, yes, I am," Jade said. "Ready, Chiko? Chiko responded with a "Chikorit!", which the humans took to mean was "YES". The four of you walked towards the battlefield, Jade slightly grimacing in the lead. "So have you come to lose to me and Tyrogue?" taunted Mack. Jade slightly extended her eyes before retorting, "The only one whose going to lose is you!" She walked up to her spot, Chiko following her up to the battlefield. "Alright, Chiko, let's start the battle with Vine Whip!" "Tyrogue, High Jump Kick!" shouted Mack. "Chiko, dodge!" yelled Jade when she heard that. Chiko realized what Mack's Tyrogue was going to do a second before Jade did, and dodged the spot where the Tyrogue was about to land. Years from that day, Jade would still say that she had no idea how it happened. It seemed that Tyrogue had taken a lot of recoil damage when he did, and Chiko was able to finish him off with two smacks of his vine whips.

Zakeru followed Jade and her Chikorita over to the holographic battlefield. His Charmander followed close behind, still nibbling on the pellets of Pokefood, and stopped at his side when he came to the sideline. He watched with a rather blank face at Mack's taunting, but inside he growled at the male.
As he watched the two Pokemon, he realized Mack made a mistake by having his Tyrogue use High Jump Kick. His lips curled into a smirk as Chiko then dodged at Jade's request, making the Fighting-type collide with the ground, leaving it open to get whipped with Chiko's vines.
With the battle over, Zakeru cheered slightly. Kasai cooed, but she sounded happy that the Grass-type won. It seemed she wasn't a big fan of Mack or his Tyrogue.

Afterwards, Jade wasn't as talkative, probably because she still could not believe she had actually battled against the school's infamous bully and won. But, anyways, the fact that she was considerably less chatty came as a relief to those who knew her. However, the shock of the past few minutes didn't stop her from asking you, "So what are we going to do tomorrow?"
((The next few posts should consist of getting ready for tomorrow's journey, and dealing with Jade's insisting that she and Chiko should come with. Happy New Year!))

Zakeru watched as Mack regained his fainted Tyrogue before storming off in a huff. His lips twisted into a smirk, then he turned towards Jade, only to see her in blissful silence. Which was very odd for her, yet a godsend for Zakeru.
She could really talk a person's ear off if they'd let her.
He moved closer to the silent female with his Charmander following close behind him. However, the silence didn't last very long.
At her question, he shrugged. "Plan where I want to go, get comfortable with Kasai's moveset so I know what I'm doing and develop a couple rhythms, and gather whatever else I need for the journey," he responded, stiffening his shoulder slightly when the fire-tailed lizard crawled up his back to his shoulders.

((Man, so sorry about the short nonposting session from me. But I think I've figured out something--most of my hardcore posts will be on weekends)) "Wait, by yourself?" Jade spat out her drink in disbelief. "Do you know how risky that is? Don't you know about safety in numbers? It's really dangerous out there, ya know. I mean, what if you run into something really bad, and it's only you and your team? It's much better to have someone else to watch your back, you know..." She continued to run off on a tangent about why she should come with you. While Jade jabbered, Chiko seemed relieved. It was pretty obvious why, for this time around she wasn't randomly popping herbs into his mouth. However, he did have to deal with the talking like everyone else within five feet of her. That included, you, your family, Jade's family, and your partners. It was an obvious hazard to being her friend. ((FYI, Jade is not going to let up. Expect her to come with you either way.))

To be completely honest, Zakeru started to zone out as she started to talk on and on about the benefits of having a partner. He could swear that his ex
pression soon gained a blank look. While he could still hear her, he was now looking past her. Literally, right over her shoulder. He swore he had just tuned out her voice so it was just a muffled buzz when he felt little teeth attach themselves to his calf.
He blinked at the sudden pain and glanced down to see Kasai with her mouth open wide around the muscle of his lower leg. The female Charmander removed her mouth and looked up at him with a somewhat innocent ex
pression. Zakeru scowled at the small Pokemon, but the innocent ex
pression became more... angellic.
He growled a curse under his breath.
Then, he turned to Jade and put one hand over her mouth to stop her tangent since it was very clear that she was going to come with him regardless.
"I leave tomorrow at noon."

"Okay then!" Jade says happily. Her stomach growls. "Oh, that reminds me, I never did get some food. I'll see you tomorrow then. Bye!" she says as she runs off to the buffet line. (Let's hope she doesn't get into any more trouble!) Jade's mom sighs and approaches you. "Jade does seem to be hyperactive sometimes," she notes. "I'm going to wish you good luck on your journey. You may just need it." She then heads off to her daughter.
((I'd suggest for the next post to consist of getting ready for the next day's journey. You have 20000 pokebucks(that's 20 american dollars), 3 potions, 2 antidotes, 2 paralyze heals, 2 awakenings, 1 burn heal, 1 ice heal, 1 rare candy, and five regular pokeballs. I'd suggest talking to family, packing up your bags to get ready, and maybe looking up stuff about the nearest gym leader before heading to bed.))

Zakeru watched with a chuckle after Jade's mother followed after her daughter. Jade certainly was a lively one. Very much so. She would provide some amusement on the journey. With one last look at Jade, just to make sure that she wouldn't cause anymore trouble, he walked back to his family. Within five minutes of headed back, the family of five walked back towards their house.
Once they stepped foot into the two-story house, the twins took off to parts known (their shared room), and Zakeru went to his room with Kasai following after, looking around with wonder. As Zakeru stepped into his room, he picked up the female Charmander and set her on his bed, which took up the majority of the center.
She cooed questionally, but looked around his dark room with interest. The walls where painted black with burnt orange and gray accents and the furniture shared the same pattern. With a faint smile, Zakeru noticed some things lined up on his desk and moved to investigate them.
There was a wallet (which upon further investigation held 20,000  ) that looked like it could be attached to the chains on his jeans, 3 Potions, 2 Antidotes, Paralyze Heals, and Awakenings, 1 Burn Heal, Ice Heal, and Rare Candy, and 5 Pokeballs. There were also six small clips (made of metal) that could attach to a pokeball and the chains he wore and an old paper map of the region.
Then, he moved about to place the items where they belonged. He attached the longer of the two chains to the wallet before sliding it into his back pocket and attached the clips to the shorter one, spacing them out along the length of it. With a nod, he placed the medicine inside the regular section of his bag. When that was done, he opened up the old paper tle="" target="_blank">map.
As he looked at it, he'd figured he go south on Route 34, through the forest, before stopping in Azalea Town to stock-up before swinging north on Route 33 before going on Route 32 to go to Violet City to get the Zephyr Badge.

In the morning, Jade and Chiko stood outside your house waiting. She was tapping her foot, popping peppermint leaves into her mouth. "Hey!" she shouted. "Are you up yet? We've got a long day today, and it's already 6:05 in the morning!" Yep. You heard me right. 6:05 A.M. Obviously Jade was an early riser. Luckily for you and Kasai, your mom had heard the noise and promptly told Jade to head back to her house and come back around nine A.M. Now you can continue to rest up for a significant day. ((I would most prefer it if the next post were you eating breakfast, saying goodbye, finishing packing and the waiting for Jade to come. You can also pack ONE item of your own choosing. And sorry about controlling your mother in this post. In apologies, you can make up the dialogue between Jade and your mom during that instance.))

Eridanus rubbed her eyes as she headed towards the front door, hearing Jade's incessant shouting. It was five after six in the morning, Zakeru was still asleep (she had checked, Kasai was curled up in a small orange ball on his chest), so she made sure that Jade knew to come back when her eldest son was more awake.
She opened the front door, looking at the wide-awake girl. "Go home, Jade. Zakeru is still asleep. And if I wake him up now, he will be a ball of irritability later." What she said gave Jade pause.
"Then when should I come back?" the younger female asked as she popped a peppermint leaf in her mouth before chewing on it.
"Come back around nine. Zakeru and Kasai should be up around then," Eridanus responded, after thinking for a little bit. She'd leg her son sleep for a little while longer before getting him up.
Jade nodded, then left. Eridanus closed the front door with a sigh of relief. She turned to face Faolan, who also heard the noise.
"Jade?" he questioned, bi-coloured eyes shimmering with curiousity. Eridanus nodded. "Then let's get Zakeru up in an hour and a half." Again, the female nodded. Then, the two went about getting themselves ready for the day.
"Niiiii-chaaaaaan!"
Two little voices singing in unison, followed by two small bodies jumping on his bed woke both Zakeru and Kasai. However, there were two different reactions. Kasai hissed and moved off the bed. She curled up on the chair for his desk and fell back asleep. Zakeru groaned, then rolled over, effectively trapping his brothers beneath him.
Trisdane and Zackari giggled and writhed underneath him as they attempted to free themselves. But Zakeru remained firm.
It wasn't until his mother came in and told him to get up that Zakeru rolled back over with a protesting groan whilst his brothers quickly ran from his room, screaming happily all the while. After a few more minutes, Zakeru pushed himself out of his bed and into the attached bathroom were he showered away the sleep under the spray of warm water.
After drying and dressing, Zakeru came back to his room to find Kasai sitting up, rubbing her eyes sleepily. She looked at him and cooed before looking at her pokeball on his desk. He nodded, went over to the wooden structure and picked up the red and white ball. Then he pressed the center button and it expanded.
"Kasai, return," he stated. The Charmander returned in a beam of red light. When the ball shrank, he attached it to one of the clips on the smaller chain.
After checking to make sure the map he had was where it was supposed to be, he looked over at a new notebook. In its spirals was a black sharpie pen. Zakeru picked it up, holding in his hands for a minute, before placing it inside his bag. Then he slipped the back on [[ See the link a couple posts back ]] and left his room after taking one last look around it.
He had everything he needed.
Coming into the kitchen, he sat down at his spot to see his mother place a couple plates of food in front of him. He smiled his thanks, and dug in. Although, it wasn't long before that full feeling started settling in.
It was around nine in the morning when he finished eating.

As you finished eating, there was a rapping on the front door. Jade and Chiko. "Hey!" she shouted. "Are you ready yet?!" Chiko backed her up with "Chik, Chikori, Chiko!" If you had looked through your window, you would have seen Jade in her usual green tank top, aqua shorts, sneakers, and herb pouch belt. However, you would notice small additions, such as six poke-balls on her belt. She also had a sage green bag, straps resting on her right shoulder. To top it all off, she now wore a necklace--one with dried sage and peppermint, complete with a jade-stone. Chiko also wore a necklace--one with a Miracle Seed on it. "Zak!!" Jade yelled again. "Come on! We've got a big, big day!" (Happy Super bowl, I guess? Sorry 'bout being lazy.)

Zakeru blinked when he heard Jade's voice outside his house. He had been washing his breakfast dishes and nearly dropped the one he was drying. Thankfully, he caught it and placed it back in the cabinet. With a sigh, he double checked that he had everything and headed towards the front door.
Although, before he even opened it, his brothers had firmly planted themselves on his feet, making it hard to move, whilst balling their eyes out. From the blubbering, a mix of "I don't want you to leave" and "Take us with you" could be heard from both of them.
Zakeru sighed, though it sounded like a groan as he hobbled out of the Mythrandr household to meet Jade.

"Good Morning, Zak!" greeted Jade, with a large smile on her face. Besides her, Chiko grinned. "Is Kasai in her Pokeball?" She asked. As always, she continued without waiting for your original answer. "By the way, you didn't tell me what direction you wanted to go in yesterday. I mean it's not that surprising you didn't, cuz' it was a really big on." She then continued on about receiving Chiko, and didn't ever get back on target.

Zakeru nodded his greeting to Jade, before he shook off his little brothers, who were still whining about him leaving. With a faint sigh, he knelt down and embraced his brothers in a big hug, whispering that he'd contact them whenever he could along with soothing them in the language taught by his bio-father.
Once his brothers were satisfied, they scrambled back inside only to press their faces against the window.
Zakeru turned back to Jade, who was yapping about Chiko.
"South," he spoke, answering her first question. "Towards Azalea Town, then swing north towards Violet City to get the first gym badge." He knew he interrupted her ramblings, but she had asked, and he had answered. Now it was time to move.

"Oh, so through Ilex forest?" Jade said. "Cool! It'll be fun seeing the place of so many childhood romps again! And I've heard that there occasionally a Ralts swarm on Route 34, too! Oo, this is so exciting!" "Orit, Chikor!" Chiko agreed enthusiastically, despite not having seen either of those places yet. "I'm just so pumped right now!" Jade practically shouted. "Let's head!" she then grabbed your arm and started racing towards Route 34, Chiko beside her, and you being dragged along.

Zakeru let Jade lead him, mouth twitching with amusement at the excitable tone the two expressed. However, at the speed of which Jade had been pulling him, it didn't take long for the pair of them - plus Chiko - to reach the city limits. In a move that had been practice dozons upon dozens of times on his brothers, Zakeru slipped his arm free of Jade's grasp and stopped just past the city line. Tilted his head to one side, he glanced over his shoulder. Burnt orange eyes took in the skyline of the city that was his home.
Modotte kimasu, he thought. I'll be back.
Then, he faced the direction Jade had gone in and followed after.

When you caught up to Jade and Chiko, they were taking in the wonders of route 34. All of it was a sight to behold, ranging from the pristine waters, to the green grass where Pokemon lurked, to the Day-Care Center standing still as the the Pokemon who where temporarily residing there got fed breakfast. And most incredible of all, there was Ilex Forest, resting peacefully in the background.
Jade was silent with awe. A nice break for you and Chiko. But that never lasts. "Wow, I never really got to look at how big this route quite was! I mean, all of the times I came here it was just on the way to a romp in Ilex, but now... Wow." Chiko nodded his head in agreement, not saying anything. Then Jade "sqeeed" in excitement. "Sqeeee!! So cool! Time to add a Ralts to the team, huh Chiko?" She and Chiko then started running to the grass. Now it's time for YOU to choose your course of action. Shall you go follow Jade? Or maybe take another path?
((FYI, the grass holds all of the Pokemon found here in HeartGold/SoulSilver, and occasionally a few from Crystal(like Jigglypuff and Snubbull.). Also, the daycare may be giving new trainers eggs... ;) ))

Zakeru watched as Jade sped towards the grass in search of Ralts. He tilted his head to one side as he thought about what he wanted to do. Burnt orange eyes shifted from his friend to the daycare that stood down the route a ways, then back to Jade. If he could find a male Ralts, then he could eventually get a Gallade.
He rubbed his chin a bit as his other hand curled around the Pokeball that held Kasai. If he couldn't find a male Ralts, then the experience could help the female charmander and then he could check in at the daycare to see if there were any unwanted eggs.
With a faint nod, he decided to join Jade in search for a Ralts.
