A large cream and white colored feline relaxed on one of the many benches through out the large park.

Her yellow-green eyes closed to a squint due to the bright sunlight that poured down on her as she lied motionless.

"What a pretty kitty!" A few three or four year old girls yelled at their mothers as they p*censored*ed by the light colored Maine-Coon.

At the noise, Gypsie opened her eyes to see if the kids were coming her way.
Thankfully the children were being pulled along by their mother, not bothering her at all.

"I suppose I've been her long enough~" She muttered to herself as she streched and jumped down off the bench.

"Let's see... What to do t-" She started to ask herself before she noticed a small kitten near by.

"You lost there hun?" She asked as she trotted up to the small kitten.

Her long fur waved in the slight breeze as she walked towards the small male.
Her green-yellow eyes seeming more yellow colored as the sun reflected off of them.

Rylee's tail shot into the air as he arched his back and hissed in surprise. He noticed it was another cat and relaxed "yes" he replied.

Well, there goes lunch Tyto thought and swooped out of the tree, skiming the female cats back before landing back in the tree and glaring at her.

Gypsie hissed and swiped a "warning claw" at the owl who had skimmed the fur on her back. "Go find a rat to eat. I'm sure it's taste better than this scrawny, little kitten."

She then looked back down at the kitten, a pleasent smile on her face as she looked him over one or two times. "Do you have some where to go? Better yet, do you need food or water?" She asked as she walked a small circle around the kitten, stopping to look at each of his legs, the hurt one in particular.

The sun shined brightly, illuminating the cloudless blue sky.

Pets strode along the sides of their owners... Cat lounged on window ledges... Same old same of fir the lazy house pets.

"Humans... They're all the same... They pretened to love you until a new pet or baby comes along. Or the suddenly gain an alergy to you. Same story different human and you're back out on the streets." A large canine scoffed to herself as she trotted down a street, making her way through the park to the bakery on the other side.

Her ice-blue eyes shining as they reflected the sunlight. She noticed a few humans and their dog having a picknick (Jack), a large malimute and his handler practicing for a show (Steel), a cat with a kitten (Gypsie and the kitten she was talking to), a kitten running away from a child (Midnight)... Her gaze then drifted to the zoo within the park. There was a large fox colored animal pacing back and forth in her cage.

"Interesting..." She muttered as she lied down on a large, flat rock, allowing the sun to warm up her pelt.

Tyto clicked his beak "can't eat what's not there" he said "you and your kind are eating just about everything". He ruffled his feathers "and I won't scavange".

"No food, water or home" Rylee mewed.

Varjak watched the ragdoll kit.

Gypsie hissed again at the owl above her. "You don't know what I eat, how often I eat or where I eat, infact you don't knoqw me at all. So do not compare me to other cats. And really you lazy ol' thing, you CAN go search for a rat, not prey on something that really has no fighting chance." She finished before looking down at the kitten.

"Come with me, I can take you to a place where there is plenty of food, water and shelter." She said gently to the small feline as she stepped away from him, completing her inspection.

Tyto flexed his tallons "he has more chance than a rat, and i've flown this city to the farmland, not a rodent for miles" he flew to another tree.

Rylee nodded.

Gypsie scoffed and shook her head. "Not where I'm from, there's an abundance of them~" She laughed before picking the kitten up by his scruff and trotting out of the park.

She jumped onto a small wall across the street, walking along it for a few more minutes before jumping to another wall and over a barb-wire fence.

The property she landed on was fairly large... The gr*censored* had been dead for years, the house was decaying and the windows were smashed out long ago. The front door had been borded up, along with the first floor windows.

"Welcome to the humble abode..." Gypsie said as she set the kitten down and sat down next to him.

"Underneath that big rotting thing is a full system of underground tunnels, rats are every where down there, if you like frogs or insects, around back there is a pond, frogs and bugs love it there... And then there's the birds that dwel in the trees... So We won't run out of food or water any time soon." She explained as she pointed to each spot as best she could with her long, bushy tail.

Rylee bent the tip of his tail, unsure what to do. He looked around before turning back to the cat "thank you".

Smudge gave up with the bin and began to walk back to the park thirsty... she thought.

"Go long boy!" A young adult male yelled as he threw a large green frisbee.

The flying disc caught a slight draft, causing it to go higher and farther than normal.
A large black and tan male ran after it, not even paying attention to his family which were packing up and leaving.

"I'm so sorry..."He said after running right into a female dog, She was black and white with the distinctive build of a Labrador.

Shaine noticed the little girl and the kitten.

She shook her head and started barking and jumping back and forth infront of the little girl, trying to scare her into dropping the fuzzy bundle.

Shaine continued to bark, snapping at the girl's leg every time she jumped forward.

Every movement Shaine purposfully missed the girl, being careful not to bite her for real she continued to try and free the kitten.

Shaine growled and snapped at the mother, catching a part of her hhand as she tried to shew the canine away. She shook her head and ran after the girl.

Shaine latched her teeth onto the hem of the girl's dress, causing her to trip and land on her side, allowing the kitten to run.

Shaine grabbed the kitten gently by it's scruff and took off running as fast as she could.

She jumped a few small trash cans, using them as leverage to allow her to jump a high, brick fence.

Once away from every one and hidden in a dark alleyway, she set the kitten down.

"You ok?" She asked with a pant, trying to catch her breath.

Smudge waged her tail slightly "its fine" she woofed.  

Jack smiled at the female as he stood up straighter.

"I'm Jack... Who might you be? I've never seen you around before..." He replied as he studied the "new" female.

He continued to smile at her and wag his tail exitedly as he awaited her response.
