The Soul Kindred is the term used to describe those rare humans who have been chosen by a Soul Partner.

 

A Soul Partner is an animal which chooses to bond their soul to that of a human being, allowing communication between them and giving that human magical abilities.

 

Nobody knows why this happens, but once someone becomes one of the Soul Kindred they areoften shunned from normal society.

 

Simply for being a little bit different...

 

The Soul Kindred often gather where they can in societies all their own, but some have yet to find a place where they truly belong.

 

Romance, mystery and action are bound to ensue! Are you ready for it?

 

Standard RP rules apply here (respect others, be as literate as possible, etc). Up to two characters per person, each with one Soul Partner. Your Soul Partner can be any animal, except for a mythical creature such as a pegasus or dragon, but I am willing to allow prehistoric creatures. Name: Hope Winter

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Looks: A very attractive girl with a slender build and height of 5'9''. She has long black hair and bright, beautiful blue eyes. Her skin is somewhat paler than average. Typically seen wearing a short blue skirt with strap-sleeve white t-shirt and blue-and-black sandals. Tucks a gold-and-pink lily behind one ear (usually the left) and wears a pale blue-lilac whistle around her neck.

Personality: Hope isn't exactly the most social girl in the world, and doesn't like to be the one to start conversation, referring to have others address her instead of her talking to them first. If you get to know Hope, though, you'll find a very good friend/ally on your side. Hope is kind and considerate, but lacks the confidence to truly express herself and her personality around others. Of course, if someone needs her help then she can overcome her confidence issues and assist them. Once Hope has made a decision about anything it is virtually impossible to change her mind. The same rule applies to grudges; once she holds a grudge against someone she will hold onto it for years. Although Hope is pretty, she has quite low self-esteem. Also, if a guy wants to impress her, then a word of warning; Hope cannot stand the really annoying guys who pester and annoy her, holding 'saner' guys in much higher regard. One last thing about Hope is that she suffers from an incredibly severe case of Pyrophobia (aka the fear of fire); even a flame as small as that of a match is enough to freak her out somewhat, and larger quantities of fire send her into a blind panic.

Abilities: Hope can hold her breath underwater for up to an hour at a time before she needs to breathe again. She may also use echolocation (on water and on land) and communicate telepathically with others. When submerged in water, Hope may choose to partially transform herself into a Pacific White-Sided Dolphin; in this instance, her legs become replaced with a Pacific White-Sided Dolphin's tail and the dolphin's dorsal fin sprouts from her back just between the shoulder-blades.

Crush: OPEN (and looking, so go ahead and ask if ya want! :3)

Other: Hope has rather peculiar dietary preferences; her favourite food is fish, cooked or uncooked. Her absolute favourite things to eat are sushi (any kind) or tinned sardines, which she will eat straight from the tin and not care what others think of her eating habits.

Personality: Daisuke's first name is Japanese, translating roughly to 'great helper'. As such, Daisuke has a very helpful nature. He loves to help out anyone with absolutely anything. Daisuke is naturally optimistic and cheerful in nature, always looking on the bright side of things. Despite the fact that he has great physical strength and a savage Soul Partner, he is actually more of a pacifist. He dislikes fighting and will more often than not try to break up a fight he happens upon, though he will fight when necessary. He is the sort of person who it is very easy to be friends with.

Abilities: Daisuke has superior, recognisably superhuman strength, and can run at up to 50 mph. His sense of smell is notably keener than that of any normal human being, as is his eyesight.

Other: He travels with Hope, but there is no romantic relationship between them. Also, one last thing about Daisuke...he's bi, with a preference for men.
