Of all the things I've ever seen,

They raced the first light of the day

No barn or stable was their home.

No one could govern where they roamed.

They galloped on the fenceless tracts

With no ones burden on their backs.

And each swift horse was nature's child

I watched Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron the other day, and it inspired me to make this roleplay. (That rhymes xD) So, yeah, here it is ^^

 ~

Plot

There was, in the wild West, a plain, unknown to most of the humans at that time. Where the sun shines warmly over the bright, thick cover of gr*censored* that blankets the ground; where the cool streams and rivers flow wildly, tumbling down the mountain range that  borders it in the north; where the pure air is sweetened by the meadow's flowers; and where mustangs and other beasts roam freely, doing whatever they pleased, without the slightest worry of being restricted from living the way they wanted to live.....

 Until one day.

The gras.s and trees were cleared, and cropped by men, and grazed by their livestock. They set up camps beside the rivers, polluting them terribly. They hunted the wild and tamed the weak. The gras.slands were dwindling, and so were the mustangs. 

Few horses resisted the intruders, and those who did were either shot or made to obey one way or the other. Seldom did a horse manage to escape the clutches of the men, and those who did were recaptured.

Now their situation has worsened. What would you do - live captive, or die wild?

• No PP, GM, chatspeak, or spamming. Please try to avoid grammar and punctuation errors and stretching pages as much as possible. Do keep in mind that this roleplay is semi literate.
• I reserve the right to kick you out. So if I ever ask you to leave (you'd better not make me ;3) just leave quietly. 
• Unlimited charas, as long as you keep them all active, and abide the next rule.
•  One of your charra may not fall in love with, or be mate of, another one you have made and control. 
• If you can't keep posting, you'd rather not join. However, I may consider excuses ;)
• Romance and violence allowed, as long as you keep 'em PG-14.
• Advertising will not be tolerated. 
• Don't ask to join, just post your bio(s) and wait to get accepted.

 Herd Ranks

Lead Stallion

It is the lead stallion who makes decisions in the herd. He has the right to let other horses join the herd, as well as to kick them out. He leads the herd to different places, and it is his responsibility to ensure their safety. The position of lead stallion is hereditary. If the former leader has no foals, the position goes to his brother.

Lead Mare

 The lead mare takes the lead stallion's role in his absence, often as.sisting him in his duties at other times. The position of lead mare is hereditary. If the former leader has no foals, the position goes to her sister.

The members of the herd are to obey the dominant mustangs.

Age: 4 year old (Young Teen)

Personality:

Sweet and sour, this little filly is quite the emotional out put. Never holding back what is on her mind. She often talks other horses to their death, or they run for their lives. If you don’t mind listening to her, she is actually really adorable in her own enthusiastic way. You have to have a lot of energy to keep up with her because she loves to run, not fast but far and wide! Though she acts innocent it’s really a cover for what she hides inside. A heart that is struggling to stay pure but knows it’s a loosing battle to the gripping darkness.

Appearance: 

Alell is a chestnut filly with a flaxen mane and tail. Both hind legs have knee high stockings, while only her right fore leg has a sock. Alell has a star on her forehead. On her belly she has the white feathering hint of the sabino gene.

History: 

Alell was born on a warm, peaceful, and clear morning. Though she doesn’t remember this day well, she knows one thing. She heard her mother shriek, “Abomination!” Never knowing who her father was Alell only knew her mother, through stories that were told to her by grand-dam. Her name meaning winged one in their language; Alell knew that she took after her father because she loved to race with the wildly, free eagles, but this frightened her grand-dam. In the end, Alell left her old herd looking for solace, though it was more like ordered. Alell didn’t hold it against them for she didn’t want her own heart to be clouded with hate because of a past deed. Alell hadn’t the slightest clue where to begin her adventure. After her first encounter with a young colt, whose arrogance seemed larger than life, she learned to have a sharp tongue to protect herself from being ordered into a manipulated tool. Finding this herd seemed like her salvation. Alell has stayed just out of the herd protective boundaries in hopes of being accepted.

Personality:

Arilyn loves to run and jump. Whenever an obstacle comes her way, Arilyn faces it head on! That goes for both literally and figuratively speaking. This mare is hardy and exhilarating. No matter the cold or hot weather, she never complains, though she might nip a few foals into their place if they bother her enough. All together, Arilyn is adorably mature. She loves life and expects others to appreciate it as well.

Seems rather anti-social and cold unless you find a way to get him to trust you. No matter what happens he keeps his head high and keeps fighting. He lost his sister Skha when he was a colt and hsince then he has never trusted anyone except for his brother, Paka.
