Sanae sat in side the cage, her back against the door where the scientists came from. All around her, pitiful DNA-crossbreeds lay, some of them pacing around. Maya and Miles were two of these people, Miles walking around the edges of the cage and growling in a frustrated manner. Maya paced back and forth, her spotted black tail twitching unhappily. Only Natsume seemed relaxed, as if he knew something they didn't.

"Calm down, Miles." He said cheerfully. Miles glared at Natsume and resumed his pacing, his fists clenching and un-clenching.

Kirsty was sitting in the middle of the cage watching as her brother James paced around her and Jamie stayed next to her. She knew why he was pacing around her while Jamie stood next to her and it was so they could protect her. "James, Jamie sit down please James is making me dizzy and Jamie is making me feel small." She said to them making Jamie, The more relaxed one, laugh before sitting down and hugging her. "I'm sorry squirt." He laughed making Kirsty hit him for calling her a squirt.

James sighed but smiled seeing them relaxed he didn't want Kirsty worrying, when she was the baby of the three. He was happy that Jamie was helping take her mind away from where they are while he protected them. He didn't know if it was the lion in him or just the fact he was the oldest but all he had on his mind was to protect them, his family.

Lieth put his head in his hands again as he finally stopped pacing. He knew that enclosed spaces made him nervous, hell he lived in enclosed spaces for practically all of his life... but something was wrong... he allowed his storm coloured gaze to sweep over those assorted next to him. The more he thought about this the stranger it got.

Why was no one talking? They each seemed as confused and stressed as he was currently feeling… apart from a select few. He looked at the few people who were sitting still in the cage – they obviously either had impeccable self-control or the scientists had grafted them especially well. He sighed silently to himself as he ran a clawed hand through inky locks…He wondered if the bars could be taken apart… He lifted himself of the ground in a fluid motion as he drew closer to the bars. They didn’t look like much…....................................................................................................  

Emma glared at the people who were shifting around the cage. It made it so difficult to get an accurate location of the humans beyond the four walled bars if they mucked up the reading she was trying to get from the faint vibrations in the floor. Something was up – they were almost never placed in the same place, it had the potential of being dangerous for the scientists. She unconsciously hissed out her displeasure as she pondered their intentions. The motion reminded her once more of the way they carried her in and she lightly shivered. Being gagged and chocked every-time they came too close to her really sucked. She reached up lightly to place a cold hand on the bruising she felt around her neck. They were scared of her venom – the idiots… what did they expect when trying to create a highly venomous snake human hybrid.

She tiredly swallowed the build-up of fluid in her mouth, sometimes being venomous was the coolest thing ever… at other times it just plain sucked. She winced tiredly as she curled up as best as she sat on the metal floor.Soo cold… her teeth slightly chattered as she tried to keep her body temperature up. Yep, being a snake sometimes sucked. So many warm bodies around her… She snapped out of the thought. Curling up next to one of the warm bodies would have just been asking for a fight. She didn’t need that at the moment.

Areina lay on her back and stared at the roof of the cage. She had a pleasant smile upon her face as she stared at the cold metal above her. "Damon..." She questioned,"Do you  think we will ever get out of here?" She sat up and curled her legs around so that shecould se her thighs. "Can't say. He replied from underneath his cap peak.

He unfolded his arms and lifted it up so that he could see his sibling. His soft smile insantly faded and he looked away flushed. "Thats not what I wanna see Ari." He told her, choking on his words.

Areina looked puzzled and dropped her skirt. "I was just trying to count the spots." She told him inoccently. "Yea, but take into mind that others are around you." He rubbed his hand across his face and turned back to face her with a smile. "Besides, the scientists already counted, 463." He told her, grabbing her shoulder and dragging her closer to himself.

Areina turned around and looked at the girl in the cage squashed up against their own. "Hey Sanae, do you think we will ever get out of here?" 

Scout sat quietly in a corner of the cage. His wings, which were tucked close to his body, twitched every so often with obvious agitation. He hated being caged up, but even worse was this cage didn't allow him to at least stretch out his wings. Granted, it was bigger, but the crowd made the possibility of hitting and knocking someone over very high. He didn't want to start a fight with anyone. At least in his old cage he could slide his wings through the bars to stretch them.

A little ways away, he noticed a rather small girl curled up on the floor shivering. He tilted his head curiously. Was she cold-blooded? He couldn't really tell from this far away. He did however, spot the bruises on her neck. What had happened there?

With a small sigh he stood up and walked over to her. He'd hate to see her suffer like this. He carefully folded his wings into his body, allowing him to pull off his blue hoodie. His other hoodie and shirt rose up a bit on his stomach, revealing a toned but muscular body for one so skinny. Scout pushed them back down as he dropped the blue clothing in front of the girl.

"Take this," he said, his voice sounding like he didn't care. He often acted aloof and indifferent from others, but half the stuff he did suggested otherwise. "It'll help you keep warm, but it's short sleeved so you'll have to keep your arms tucked inside."
