Story & Plot & Setting
Hierarchy. It controls everything. The rich are wealthy, beautiful, powerful, well-known, while the poor are homely and deserving of nothing. In most cases, though, society has a way to cover this, and from a simple glance this sort of hierarchy cannot be seen. The opposite is true of the land of Corazone.
The land is vast and wide, but in the center of the country there is a massive city where all walks of life meet. This is where the hearts mingle. In the society, people are born into castes, or classes, that determine how they live their lives, and no caste mingles with that of another. For, indeed, who would want to be seen with someone who was considered a lesser member of society. Society members are all born with certain sorts of symbols that are relative to the caste, and also have to wear a colored heart on them at all time that marks their caste. Unfortunately, the discrimination and malice between castes is nearly cut-throat, and it would be considered a hideous crime for one caste member to mingle with another.
Although Caste members are not placed because of their appearances, certain traits have been 'bred' into the levels. Such as, the highest level is very beautiful and elegant,with their light hair and fair skin, while the lower are considered more plain. Oh..and of course there are the powers. Powers?
Yes. Magic abilities rush through the veins of certain caste members. Of course, only the most wealthy and well known can be allowed and trusted to have such powers. God forbid a lowly heart should be blessed with such abilities, right? It is this reason that no higher members of society breed with the lower. Any beings proven to have done so are shunned and sometimes banned, for they destroy the hierarchy and order.
However, some members of society are screaming for a change. There have been many cases of vandalism, violence, and...worse. Much worse.
:: Plot can be added to as ideas flesh out. With any ideas, feel free to mail :: Setting is medieval meets futuristic. Such as, swords and horses and castles and all of those fun things, but at the same time there are lazorz and rocket launchers and advanced bio weapons. This allows for tattoos, piercings, people who love riding motorcycles, but also the classic knight sort of figure. Have fun with it, it's very lenient. Season is spring.

Hierarchy
White The White hearts are considered royalty. They are the richest, the lawmakers, the lords of the land. Envied and beautiful beyond reason, their powers are fantastic and mind boggling. However, with so much grace and power, they are known to be incredibly stuck up and full of themselves, sometimes even likening themselves to the divine, to being a truly better breed of human. There are very few of them, and they jealously guard their glorious line of beauty and power. They will openly speak to Golds, but below that is highly unlikely. Whites are born with very light features, and have symbols similar to the shape of hearts on them, or have silvery white eyes.
Gold
Golds are step below Whites. Although not as wealthy or famous as Whites, they are still incredibly powerful. They are the nobles, so to speak. Many Golds are just as stuck up as Whites, although not all of them are this way...just most. Their houses are not the glittering castle-like structures, but they are massive and gorgeous mansions. Golds are beautiful, and their physical appearances tend to be bright and blonde, unlike the whites and silvers that are common in the Whites. Golds are born with sun-like shaped markings, or have gold eyes.
Purple
Purples are the upper class. They're still very attractive, although a bit more humble than the Golds. They will openly speak to members of the Red and Yellow castes. They often live in large mansions, and live very fulfilling and luxurious lives. Their magical abilities are still fairly good, and they are able to do quite a few wonderful things. Lots of land and money fill their lives, and although they love their riches, they will still take time to appreciate the little things. Many of them are wealthy merchants and landlords. Purple hearts are born with cross markings somewhere on their bodies, or have purple eyes.
Red
Reds are like the middle - upper middle class. They have nice homes, and are well enough off to enjoy some of life's luxuries, but they are far from 'rich.' They aren't drop-dead gorgeous, but they're not bad to look at either.They are stubbornly jealous of Purples, though, and there is a large feud between them, mostly because Reds rent out land from Purples. Their abilities are moderately good...nothing fantastic or mind blowing, fairly simple, but they can often execute those small things very well. The reds are born with swirly pattern symbols, or with red eyes.
Yellow Yellows are basically nobodys. They're poor, and have small, very humble homes. However, they do have honest jobs, but their busy lives are filled with work and toil, just to try and get by. They have little magic, but it is a poor excuse for magic. Many don't even have any sort of magical abilities. Many Yellows are tired and bitter, while other try to put on a strong face, and enjoy the little things in life. Their physical appearances vary, but they aren't really anything special to look at. Darker features and with shorter, less muscular bodies than what is desirable by the streamline idea of beautiful. Yellows are born with diamond-shaped markings, or dull yellow eyes.
Black
Blacks are the lowest of the low, the scum of the city, the bane of all that live. They're poor, living in shacks, or even homeless. Blacks are considered homely and worthless. No other Castes communicate with Blacks. Blacks are notorious for being void of any sort of magical abilities, and scraping by just to live. They're born with three dots or very dark, almost black or brown eyes.
