Finally the doors opened for the third floor, not giving Sylvari a chance to respond. Her black eyes narrowed in a glare before she led him off the elevator to a door at the end of the hall. Pulling out the key and unlocking the door didn't take very long as she stepped into the apartment, leaving the door open for Travis.
The entire apartment was rather small. Holding a kitchen, a living room, two small bedrooms and a bathroom between them. But it was what Sylvari preferred even though she had a lot of money coming in from her own business. A quick glanced at the oven clock told her there was still time to do some hacking. She just had to get Travis situated in the guest bedroom.
Opening the door closest to the living room, she said, "You can sleep here tonight."

The doors opened and a silent, yet still there, relieved sigh escaped my lips. Why was she so interested? I chewed on my lip as I shook the odd conversation from my mind. Crossing my arms over my (solid ;o) chest, I ignored her glare and followed her out of the elevator.
I followed her deeper inside the apartment; surprised at how normal she lived for being a demon. I guess the way demons were described just years ago when I didn't believe in vampires and all the other... 'creatures', I imagined them to live in a much different environment. Like Hell. Not in a roomy apartment, with even a guest room. Did she ever get guests? Maybe she did, but they never came out-
I shook the thoughts from my mind as I nodded my head in response. "Thanks." I passed by her, giving her a small smile, before turning back to the room and going deeper in. She was right of course; the vampires won't be able to find me now. But the pestering worried thoughts were still screaming around in my mind. What about tomorrow? Where will I go to hide from them? Worry etched in my features before I turned back to Sy with a smile.
"Thank you, Sylvari."

"Thank you, Sylvari."
The ice demoness felt a blush heat across her upper cheeks as her black eyes became glued to the floor. Mumbling a faint "Your welcome," she turned and entered her own room. Once the door was firmly closed behind her, she let out a faint sigh and ran her fingers through her hair. The gel she used to spike it up made her fingers sticky slightly, causing her to frown. The ice that was in her hair had already evaporated. Plus, she'd be more inclined to take a shower if Mr. Travis Hot-stuff wasn't on the other side of the bathroom.
Now she didn't really feel like hacking. Frozensoul was off for the night and maybe the next couple if she let Travis stay in her apartment.
With another sigh, she pushed herself away from the door and slipped off her jacket, letting it rest on the back of the chair sitting next to her desk. A laptop lay closed on the mahogany surface. Her eyes rested on it briefly before she snatched up her bathrobe. After a quick strip, she covered herself with the robe and slipped out of her room to enter the bathroom.
She locked the door behind her.
After a few moments of getting the water started and pulling out a towel, Sylvari pulled off the bathrobe and stepped under the falling water. The lukewarm water felt a bit too warm against her cold skin, but she ignored the feeling as she started to wash herself. Thirty minutes later, she was done. The water was shut off and she had a towel wrapped around her body as she squeezed the excess water out of her electric blue hair.
Drying off went quick and soon her bathrobe was back on, tied tightly at her waist as she placed her clothes from today and the wet towel in a wicker hamper. Then, she exited the bathroom and re-entered her own room. Once the door was firmly closed behind her, she quickly changed into dark blue silk pajamas and clean pair of panties.
With a faint yawn, she glanced at the closest clock and growled. It was late. She should really get to bed. So, she did. Sylvari all but collapsed on her mattress, pulling the covers out from under her to pull them over her. She was asleep before her head hit the pillow.

The bedroom door closing was my cue to stop my act. I ran both hands through my black hair, pulling at my hair in frustration. What was I going to do? I couldn't stay hiding away in some demon's apartment for the next year until they give up finding me!
The remembrance of her being a demon didn't settle well with me either. I was new to this - a little too new. But I was very aware that we were enemies. Green orbs stared at the bedroom door; waiting for her to come in at any moment to do what she did to Dave - or worse.
I chuckled to myself after five minutes of staring at the door in worry. Look at me! I could be three times her size, and I was terrified. I ran a - this time calm- hand through my hair as I sat down on the bed.
I didn't get much sleep that night.

Sylvari woke up to her alarm clock complaining at her. Narrowing black eyes slightly, she hit the off button and pushed herself up on one elbow so she could wipe the sleep from her eyes. A quick glance at the digital numbers told her it was a while yet before she had to go to the shop. While her bed seemed to urge her back into sleep, she rolled off the mattress. Her stomach was growling at her and her bladder was starting to ache. With a quite groan, she slipped out of her bedroom and into the bathroom.
Once her bladder was indeed empty, she made her way into the tiny kitchen to start making some coffee. Once the machine was all full, she let it brew as she sat at the small table. Leaning across the wooden surface, she rested her arms on it with her chin on a patch of scales. Black eyes fully focused on the black machine making the caffeine that would help her through the day.

I woke up the next morning feeling like I hadn't slept a wink. I groaned, running a hand down my stubbled ( not a word but I love using it. xD ) cheek before putting my feet on the floor. I could hear foot steps outside the door in the kitchen so I guessed that Sy was up.
It took only a moment for the whole situation I was in to register. I was in, what I saw it as, the enemies home. What was I doing here? Was I that much of an idiot? It was like I walked right into a trap. But she hadn't done anything to me last night, so there wasn't much I could worry about except for what was going through her head. Surely she didn't help me because she wanted to.
I sat up and walked out of the bedroom to see Sy's back facing me, as she sat on the kitchen table. I hesitated before taking another step. "Morning Sylvari." I said, my low voice breaking the comfortable silence of the morning.

She had actually fallen asleep while waiting for the coffee machine to finish making the drink she so desperately needed in the morning. Her head lay in the crook of her elbow while her other elbow rested on the table and that hand rested against the base of her neck. Soft snores came from her as she breathed deep and slow. Though, at the sound of Travis's voice, her ears perked up a bit and she stirred in her sleep slightly. Her black eyes fluttered open a bit, but she didn't turn around, her eyes were glued to the ground she could see. "It's not morning unless I've had some coffee and I am coffee-less at the moment," she growled, a bit grumpy.

After I had told her good morning, I had realized that she had fallen asleep. I lifted an eyebrow, a smirk coming to my lips. She stirred and that told me I had woken her. I walked over to another chair by the table and sat down, the worries from before still etched in the back of my mind but not as loud anymore.
I leaned my chin on my palm, my elbow on the table, and smirked at her statement. I couldn't argue with her there, though I was always one for tea (since he's sexy like that.) and wasn't much of a coffee person.

She watched him sit to the right of her at the table. There was a smirk playing at his lips, making her stomach do all those little flips like butterflies were swarming there or something. Just then, the machine beeped loudly, signalling it was done. Jumping up, she moved over to the machine and quickly poured herself a mug of black coffee. Raising the clay cup to her lips, she drank a mouthful and moaned in pleasure as it warmed her.
Turning back towards Travis, she leaned against the counter. "Now, it is morning," she commented before taking another gulp of her coffee.

[[ JUST THIS LAST WEEK AND THEN YOU HAVE ME ALL TO YOURSELF FOR RPING KAY. c: ]]
I kept quiet as she stood up and made her coffee, taking the moment to take in my surroundings. As she sat down, I took her comment as a cue that she wouldn't be so grouchy. Leaning my arms on the table, I lifted an eyebrow. "Do you really think it's okay that I'm here right now?"
From what it seemed, this was her home; so obviously, vampires weren't wandering around the streets. This might be more dangerous then being in a room with the vampires that were chasing me.

Sylvari drank some more of the precious coffee as she thought over his question. Then, she nodded. "Of course its okay. Its my apartment. Besides, my cousins don't come around here often and my dad likes to stay in Malues with his brothers," she replied as another mouthful of coffee running down her throat; warming her pleasantly. She always lived along since she moved down to New Orleans from Alaska.
She sometimes missed the coldness the farthest north American state experienced.

I nodded my head, her statement not making me feel any better. She said that her cousins don't come around often; as in it wouldn't be okay if they were around? I wasn't welcome here and we knew it. I swallowed nervously and leaned back in the chair, running a hand through my black hair.
"Well I obviously can't stay here forever."
I mumbled to myself. Though I stayed casual outwardly, I was panicking. I shook my head to myself. I looked up at her with pleading eyes.
"What do I do?"

Sylvari tilted her head slightly when her black eyes noticed his pleading ones. After swallowing the last mouthful of coffee, she placed the mug in the sink. "You could become a nomad," she said, thinking out loud. "Moving from city to city will get your coven off your back."
"There is also an empty apartment that the sleaze wants to fill," she added, cleaning the mug out before setting it inside the dishwasher.

I shrugged at her first comment. At first, the idea was a good thought, but it soon faded as I realized that i was weak compared to them. I could run, but not for long. They were faster, stronger, more advanced. I was practically new to this whole world before me and she thought I'd be able to run?
I chuckled at her next comment. "The sleaze?"

Sylvari nodded her head vehemently. "The landlord. He's a true sleaze. Dude's got this mentality that he's got the right to get in any solitary woman's pants if she lives here. He did r@pe a woman, but the cops couldn't pin him." A growl escaped her throat as her upper lip started to curl into a snarl. "He almost got me, but daddy dearest put the sleaze in his place."

I sat up from the chair, chewing on my lip and feigning nonchalance, though inside, I was truly surprised. I couldn't imagine Sylvari letting anyone put a hand on her. For some, just that look in her eye could stop a heart's beat.
"And you offered me to move in with a man like that?"
I said though a small smirk was on the corner of my lips. I walked up to her and leaned a hip on the counter beside her, crossing my arms over my large ( sexy, muscular. All that sexy jazz ;) ) chest.
"Why did your dad let him stay after all that?"
