The two Siamese cats prowled through the apartment. The larger one, Smoky, pushed open a door, allowing the other one, Muffin, to slide through before he followed suit. The two looked up at the bed, where their owner was snoozing, before jumping up onto the bookcase to get an areal view of him. After an exchanged glance, the Siamese turned back to look at their owner, identical devious looks on their face. With a loud meow, both jumped right onto the furry.
DC sat up quickly, instantly awake when the two landed on him. When he glared down at them, they were sitting at the edge of his bed as if nothing had happened. He groaned and slid out of bed. If he had know these two would do that every morning, he would have turned tail and ran when his sister had given him that box with air-holes for his sixteenth birthday. She could call it whatever she wanted, it was cold-blooded revenge wrapped up in the form of two adorable cats.
He slid out of his bed and went over to his dresser, pulling open one of the drawers and selecting something to wear. He pulled on the red board shorts and tan t-shirt before sliding his feet into his speedo flip-flops. He made his way into the bathroom and brushed his teeth and hair. All the while, his cat's seemed to follow him.
As he made his way out the door, he grabbed his wallet and the lanyard with his keys on it. Half-way out the door he turned to look at the Siamese. "Well?" he said. "Don't look at me for food, I know you can get it yourself." He gave them an amused smile before leaving, closing and locking the door behind him.
The Siamese exchanged another glance before seeming to shrug. He went over to the kitchen and knocked over the cat food bag that was beside the refrigerator. A bit of food spilled out from the now open top and they began munching on it, quietly purring.
