Sinvad tensed at the hand that came to rest upon his shoulder, flinching out of her grasp, though he wasn't trying to be particularly abbrasive. He was just as scared and anxious as the others were, his eyes bright, lit with worry for his lost master and their futures. "Gone?!" He spat the word from his lips as if it tasted of venom upon his tongue.

"No, they can't be gone! You don't understand! My master was good to me! He'd never just leave me in this...This...Whatever this is!" He growled, gesturing to the vaguely lit darkness that surrounded them. The talons of his feet scraped along the cold floor, dragging little scrapes and scratches into its surface as he once again took in their murky, dusty surroundings.

"Are we all alone? Where are are the people?" Having been hatched and raised in captivity, Sinvad was used to being surrounded by humans and keeping their company. He'd never been free in the wild long enough to understand what it meant to have no direction or order. Without his master nearby to instruct him, he felt small, as if the walls were closing in on him.

"Haven't seen anyone, kid. No one but yourself." Shikamaru's voice came out raspy and gruff since his wail. He continued to run his hands over his face and up his antlers.

"At least I still have these..." He murmured, tugging softly at the silky ribbons dangling from his antlers. Then, as Sinvad questioned the whereabouts of the humans, he stood and approached the Gondra.

"They've forgotten about us, kid. Left us here to die. Heh, you must be one of those city creatu...born and raised with the touch of a human hand. You can't know any better." He snorted in disgust with each mention of humans. Then, as gingerly as he could, he turned and staggered to the nearest machine and rested a hand lightly upon it. "I was born in the wild, and raised by a group of Roditores who knew better than to stay with a human. I had never known humanity until those filthy primates encroached upon my forest home, building a city nearby. They tampered with our silence, our peace...before I became one of them, I vowed never to become the pet of one. I will always loathe what I have become."

His shadow, almost invisible in the pre-existing darkness, twitched and slithered up the side of the machine. Then, without warning, it grew spikes that jutted out in every direction, engulfing the machine in darkness. The computer gave out a loud beeping noise, saying that something was wrong, before it was crushed in by the shadow's power.

'Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu - the art of Shadow Strangling.' Shikamaru thought with a sadistic grin. 'I still have my power.'

( *raises hand* I'm busy a lot. And then our laptop won't be getting internet connection 'till Thursday, so me and my twin have to share this computer. *growls* I don't like to share with her anymore. She depends on me for way too much. Hell, I even do all our homework. *growlsnarl* >__> )

"I wasn't born in captivity, but I was captured and pampered. I enjoyed it, I admit, but they always expect you to be the most perfect little creatu out there." Brykelle sighed. "Being the pet of a wealthy family, they expect nothing less than for me to be quiet and oblivious to other people, just like a showcase." She shook her head sadly, her ears pinning against her head.

"And that's exactly what I was. A showcase to everyone but Cecile, and now they've gotten rid of me." she said quietly, looking down at the ground.

Croma's tail lashed as she thought of what they could have done to Siame. She stepped forward, her voice shaky.
"Has anyone seen my partner, Siame? If they've...changed..him, he should be like me."
She looked her her left hand, which was still a paw, and wondered how she had managed to keep one paw, instead of two hands. She balled her paw into a fist, happy that it was still just as easy to use, with no thin human bones. She let it drop at her side, and waited for a response.

((fail, I know, but I have little to work with.))

The gondra's already green face paled at such words from the Kioka, violet eyes watching him move to the nearby machines, but the sudden display of power startles him, making his eyes widen considerably and drawing a small gasp from his lips. He takes a wary step back away from Shika, his thin frown deepening to complete the male's distraught ex
pression. Abandoned, human, and now surrounded by freaks with equally disturbing powers. Was that natural for a creatu? He'd never met a Kioka before, so he really couldn't say, but it didn't seem natural. Not in the least.

Shivering, he rubbed his arms, once again lowering his gaze to his murky reflection. Then again, who was he calling a freak? "Maybe we should get out of here," he said quietly, lifting his eyes to glance back at the others. "Or at least look around. See if we can find others...L-Like your friend," He looked at Croma. "Siame, you said, right?"

Mihre moaned, and got up, covered in gooey liquid. She slapped her hand against the counter and heaved herself up, glaring at her disgustingly thin fingers.

Mihre turned to the others, her golden-yellow eyes flashing mischieviously. She gave them a grin and turned to Croma, slowly lowering her tail as she pricked her ears.

She said to Croma, "I'm sure Siame is fine." she said reas.suringly with a slight hint of deviousness.

((Are there humans where they are right now?))

Mihre nodded to Croma. "Of course." she purred.

Her tail curled up as she cringed from thinking about carnage spilling everywhere from battle. She shuddered slightly and shook her head, tossing her ears back and forth.

Her claws seemed to lengthen, but it hurt! Mihre stared at her slightly retractable "claws". How could it hurt?

Her thoughts drifted away from Siame as they floated around the thoughts of her past.

((Here, just...Not often. My mom got mad earlier.))

Croma nodded.
"If there is anyone else in this cursed place, then we better find them quickly, else they'll be doomed to a fate worse than ours."
She glance at the glas.s tubes that had contained them for countless days, weeks, or even months or years. She was unsure of how they had survived for more than an hour, and didn't want to know. She started toward the staircase, pausing to wait for the others.

( Woah, woah, woah. Wouldn't they be, like, nude? o-o If they had been transformed from creatu to humans, they wouldn't be dressed, would they? O_o
Well, I suppose they wouldn't notice. e.e )

Brykelle crossed her arms, and her tail swished lightly. "It's cold." she said quietly. "And quiet. I wish someone would help us..." She looked up at the ceiling, which seemed to be leaking something. Probably water, but she wasn't so sure.

She turned to Mihre. "What do you say we go find your friend? Siame, right?"
