"I am not happy about that. Why does he have to come?" Maka complained, gripping Soul tighter with frustration. "Though I have to say, she has to be the only female alive, other than myself, that he isn't fawning over. What's up with that? He is so confusing." She growled, running faster to catch up with the others.

Jade looked at Maka who was obviously annoyed about something. "So Spirit, what's up between you and Maka? She seems a little more annoyed with you than normal, and that is saying something." She asked, wincing slightly as the scythe shocked her hand.

Soul rolled his eyes. " Probably to keep us safe, or somethin'. I don't mind him. What do you have against your dad?" he mumbled, not really thinking. He was half-concentratd and half-concerned about what was he goin to eat later.

Spirit sighed. " Nothing really. And, I don't have a clue. I have a question for you....What's the story behind your weapon? She seems the exact opposite of you."
