SyneliaLia wiped her face in her hands as she collapsed on the nearest bench. It was so freaking hot and she decided to wear long pants? Mother always said that she made bad decisions for herself. She didn't hide taking a good long look at the lady sitting next to her. Staring at some necklace which looked of great value. "Wanna sell it?" Synelia asked bluntly, gesturing to the necklace in her hand. "I can give you a good price - I'm a well-known tradeswoman." Draping her arms over the back of the bench, she grinned at her self-compliment. "I have more than a couple ruby and pearl," she gave her pouch a good pat, "Waddaya say? Could probably buy yourself some.... nicer clothes." Always an eye out for business. She could probably scam this girl and sell that necklace for way more than she thinks it is worth.

Well that was kinda rude"Nicer clothes?" I snicker "Well, that's rather insulting.. Maybe you should use your gems to buy yourself some... Shorts. Anyways, nah, sorry, not for sale it was a gift from my grandmother who recently passed away.." I glance at her pants again feeling empathetic due to the heat, and twiddle with the necklace nervously, but tightly. I couldn't afford this stranger to grab the chain and run. I feel an odd and supernatural connection to... What ever this is.

SyneliaShe guffawed at the lady's attempt at a comeback. "I like you, girl. Makes me not care that you just turned down the best offer of your life." Letting out a long breath she wiped her brow before continuing, "Sucks about your grandmother though. I'm sorry for your loss." While she once again eyed up the necklace she noticed the other girl tighten her grip. Figured it wouldn't do harm to introduce herself, maybe to catch some other kind of deal. "I'm Synelia, traveler tradesman extraordinaire, I deal in almost everything from lavish jewelry to dead pigeons. And believe me, those things are delicious!" Laughing loudly, she smacked her thigh. That joke never gets old.

"I'm Synelia, traveler tradesman extraordinaire, I deal in almost everything from lavish jewelry to dead pigeons. And believe me, those things are delicious!" She laughed loud, smacking her thigh. The strange lady, supposedly known as "Synelia" seems very full of herself. "Pigeons? Heh, sounds strange, I've never tried one." I murmer. The sun is now hotter than ever, and the trees aren't doing much shelter. I notice a brown haired boy on the other side of the street come out of PieceOfCake, a nice cake store I go to sometimes- he's a... centaur. And a cute one. Huh, haven't seen a centaur in ages. The last one I saw was Ash back in Aquilonia. Boy do I miss him. He was the bestest friend anyone could ask for. The boy across the road holds a hot beverage cup. Gosh, what is with people today. Long pants, hot drinks, I would die for an iced tea. Almost forgetting about the girl next to me, I notice her staring at my necklace, as if ready to snatch it, so I stuff it into my dress pocket. How old is she? I swear she looks 14.

Synelia "I swear girl I like you less and less the more I talk to you." Synelia made a face of disgust and pulled out a flask of the traditional drink in Ophir, chugging about half of what was left. "You're eyein' up that dude like he's a pastry. Go talk to him and leave me alone to rest, would'ya? If you don't wanna trade or talk nicely then you're in my area and need to back off." Its too hot to deal with people today. She's melting, and hasn't made a deal in a week. Seriously. Who wouldn't want to trade with her? "Actually, I need an ice cream. I kinda dislike you right now but you should come with me. I have no friends." She said the last part in a monotone blunt joke kind of way, but she had some garnet to spare and really didn't have friends. Her sleep schedule and her need for traveling means she hangs out with anyone she can just to barely meet her social needs. She started walking and expected the girl to follow.

Icecream... I could really do with some icecream right now.. Mmmm chocolate chip.. Ugh. But, I don't even know this stranger? And I need to ask mum all these questions- I fiddle with the chain in my pocket- and, I need to feed Zoey and like, grab my money which is allllllll the way up in my bedroom... 'Synelia' starts walking off and I just sit there, not sure what to do.

SyneliaWhere are the footsteps. Of the damned girl. "What." She turned and stared at the girl still sitting on the bench. "I am PAYING. for FOOD. You're turning that down?" Synelia removed her hair clip from her shirt pocket and clipped her fringe up so that she could stare at this girl more intensely. "Simple yes or no here. I'm cool with either."

"Wait- I need to go ask my mum first, you know how old I am, right? Oh, never mind you would understand". I jog towards my door, fling it open and run the rest of the way up to the attic. I find myself half excited. I hope we go to the beach! As I enter my room I rip out a page off of the first notebook I could find. A pen. God dammit! Where are my pens!? I open shelves hurriedly, also coming across Zoey's bird food. She chirps joyfully. She's usually been quite quiet these past few days. I open the bird cage. "Here-" Wait, Zoey hasn't been out since we moved here, maybe I should... I eye the black ring resting on top of my drawers, and snatch it. It has a spiral in the center, and the ring has a smooth texture. 'Here. Zoey? Wanna come with?' I use this ring to keep her in a close range, I bought it in Aquilonia in a down town market, and if I wear it, Zoey can only stay a certain distance away from me. It works on small living things, and Zoey wears a similar matching band on her leg. I remember when we tried to put that thing on her; It was pretty hard. She scratched my finger and almost flew out of the house. 'Here.' I pat my shoulder, as she flies over to me. Smiling, I turn and continue my rabid search for a pen.. AHA! I rush over to my windowsill, grabbing my favorite pen, and glancing out to still see 'Synelia' there. Good. I scribble a quick note down to mum saying 'At Shayley's, be back soon xx', throw on a cap, leave the note on the kitchen bench, and rush out the door. What was that- 5 minutes?

SyneliaUgh. She made herself comfortable on the bench and stared the girl's house. She still didn't know her name. She gave her an opportunity to say it but she was too stubborn to even mumble it. Typical of Kush citizens. They are nice, and do things properly and safely - but they are so freaking stubborn sometimes. The girl came out after about 5 minutes and Synelia didn't move as she came to stand by the bench. "Do you have a name?"

"Yeah," I say slightly out of breath. "It's Cici." "Sooooooo, are we going to the beach? And do you live here? Also do you have a pet?" I don't know why I was asking all these questions. I guess I felt bad and vulnerable because of what happened with Shayley. I suppose I found this lady interesting, and it would be cool to hang with her. Ugh what the hell she's the most interesting person I've met in ages, and I'm intrigued. What flavor of ice cream to pick though? Chocolate chip, or vanilla, or orange, or, yesssss salted caramel. Let's hope they have some.

Synelia "Uhhhh sure. I was thinking of the one in town but now that you mention the beach it is arguably closer." Synelia made a face at her last question. "Weird small talk. She's not up for sale." She paused and then backtracked. "Yes, I have a pet. I keep her on a ring tracker but we're pretty close so honestly it's not even necessary anyway." She flashed the silver band around her finger, with a spiral in the middle. "She's sleeping right now in my pocket. She gets used to me being so loud." Shrugging, Lia looked around before starting to head toward the beach. "What about you?"

"Wait, wait... Hold up. You're saying that, there's a beach in town?! And omg twins!" I raise my hand to show my ring side by side hers. Even though they're different colours, they show a very strong likeness. "Where'd you get your anyways?" I quicken my walking to try match her pace. The sun seemed to have cooled down a bit, hidden behind a bit of cloud, or even the soft breeze had made a big impact on the temperature. However, I was still looking forward to that ice cream.

Synelia "What? No. Daft girl. An Ice cream shop." She flinched when the girl put her hand beside hers to show her ring. "What kind of bird? Mine is a sparrow." She chose to ignore Cici's weird choice of words toward the ring and focused on what path they would have to take ahead of them. It seemed pretty straight-forward - she could almost see the top of the building from here. The sun was gone but she was still sweating like she had run a marathon. Silently thanking the lords for wearing a shirt that hid her sweat stains, she mopped her face with her sleeve and walked a little quicker.

"Mine's a singing canary" Aand there it was again, the undeniable heat. She was still waiting on an answer, though. Did the girl hear her? Or was she intentionally ignoring that question. "So, uh, hey, where'd you get that ring of yours anyways" I croak. Water. Ice cream. Anything. Her throat was feeling dryer than her split ends on the third day of not washing her hair.. The beach must be close, shouldn't it? I look up at the sky just as two birds shoot past, catching my gaze.

Synelia She followed her gaze up to the birds. "It was a gift from my parents in Ophir. A traveling gift so that Dot doesn't get lost. I doubt she will though." Synelia looked Cici up and down. "You have a faint aura around you. Do you possess any form of magic? Or do you just have like, magical friends or family members or something." She debated whether to bring up her origins but decided that it could wait. Dwarfs are always regarded as stealing creatures and have some bad reputation around fair trades, and she was a tradesman. Sometimes being known as a dwarf ruins her business. Lia doubted she could get anything of worth outta this girl though.

"I, myself and my parents are humans. Same goes for most of my friends," I shuffle and stare at my feet for a few seconds. Why was talking about this so awkward? Oh, I'd never know. "I do have a couple magical friends, though we're not very close. Are you magical?? I've personally always dreamed of being a spell caster, sadly not. It's just too dangerous, especially for a human. My parents would forbid it. And, wait. Aura you say?" I clutch the necklace in my pocket tightly, then adjust my cap. "What type?? And lol, sorry for all these questions.... Where the hell is this beach?"

Cillian shoots up from the cold and still slightly dewy grass as his oldest brother calls from within their makeshift home. He is immediately bombarded by the heat he was trying to ward off. He sighs before running over to his eldest brother. "What is it this time?" He asks while wiping off his forehead. "I just need you to go into town to buy a slab of meat and a few vegetables. That's all you have to do, and you can get a cold drink when you're done if you want." Sean says while he pats Cillian's head. "Well okay then I'll see you later Sean." Cillian says with a quick wave. He starts to run to town seeing as it was only a few kilometers away from their home. Twenty or so minutes pass until he slows down as he walks into town. He pulls up his cloak's hood to cover his head. Cillian hears a quiet meow next to him causing him to look down to find his cat Barnaby. "How'd you get her so fast or did Lee tell you where Sean was going to send me, so you could meet me here?" Barnaby lets out a meow that sounded like a confirmation. He picks Barnaby up and carries him to a butchers stall in the market. "Ma'am how much do you want for that slab of meat there." Cillian says while trying not to drool at the tantalizing smell of the fresh cuts of meat. "That'll be ten emeralds boy." The woman says with a big grin. "That works, thank you ma'am!" He happily pulls out the emeralds and hands them to the woman. In return the woman wraps the slab up and hands it to Cillian. He grabs it gratefully then moves to the vegetable stand to buy some carrots and potatoes. Once he buys all of the necessities he walks over to the cafe only noticing the centaur a few steps before he ran into him. He glances around a bit before pulling down his hood for Barnaby to crawl into that of which he does immediately. He ponders talking to the centaur as he looks up at him.

DerriStaring at the small boy that he had run into, Derri cleared his throat. "I... Oh sorry." They had stopped in front of the door, and Derri moved aside to let a lady past and gestured for the boy to do so also. "Nice cat." He offered. He doesn't know what do in these kinds of situations. Does he walk off without saying anything? Does he attempt conversation? He can only remember one other time this had happened and both he and the other person were waiting at the bus stop so of course, he tried some conversation. This boy seemed like he was going somewhere. "Where are you headed off to?" He then realized and made a long hesitation before, "Uh.... The cafe right? Sorry for getting in your way."
Synelia "Huh... Okay." She listened then tensed up noticeably at Cici's question about her origins. "I know a couple things. I'm not a spell caster, but one of my parents was well versed in the "spying" side of spells. I picked up a couple tricks from her." She was grateful in the change of subject toward the mention of an aura. "Any being who knows at least one spell can feel an aura when close. Many brush this sense off, as some naturally can do it better than others, but I haven't developed mine as a skill so I can't detect the type of energies. You should visit a professional." She nonchalantly shrugged at her proposal, and couldn't be cared less about whether this girl was "magical" or not. "Beach is right next to us but the ice cream store is a little further down so I figured we took the sidewalk. And please don't use lol in a sentence ever again." Synelia huffed and stuck her hands in her pockets.

"Lol sorry. I mean," I burst out in laughter but feel as if she's unimpressed, as she huffs and shoves her hands in her pockets. "So uh, you know any professionals? Do they cost a lot?" I can finally see one cloud to my far right. Apparently the sky used to be a bright blue before the war or Zon, now its a murky purple. I then shift my gaze to the two spell casters across the street, they're only kids, and in rags. One of them is making their hat levitate for money, the other, (and probably the youngest) is rummaging through a brown box of some sort, im not 100% sure what he's doing. The smallest boy looks up at me, and I suddenly feel guilty for no reason. "So uh, you also metioned earier that you travel a lot.. Isn't that really hard for your age??" I glance over to her, trying to break th silence.
