What’s with that dog? Wren thought irritably, scuffing the ground with one unshod foot. The parched earth sent up clouds by her feet. Watching silently as the brown dirt slowly settled on her white jeans gave a small sigh and glared at the aforementioned dog, who was gazing at her adoringly. ‘Git!’ she said sharply, waving a hand at it. The dog, a large wolfhound, just gave a loud woof and wagged his tail happily. ‘Oh my god, why is that mutt following me?’ she asked herself, walking away from the offending animal. Of course, the large brown, black and gray dog just got up and followed eagerly, tail wagging and tongue hanging from his mouth as trailed Wren. Finally, Wren had had enough. She shot the canine one last death-filled glare and then strode forwards firmly, feeling her body morph and twist shape. Crimson red feathers grew along the nape of her neck, with a white bib just above them. Her arms shrunk and turned into brightly coloured wings, a plethora of blacks, yellows and blues. Torso shrunk into a bright yellow feathered chest and legs grew scaly-skinned and a dark blackish-gray. Spreading her wings wide Wren made a swift flapping motion with her wings, lifting her small body into the air. Her tail fanned out behind her, a bright violet-blue and green feathered affair. Try tailing me now mutt, she thought with a thrill of excitement making her avian-form shiver. She flew in the clear blue sky as an Eastern Rosella. Lifting one brightly coloured wing she banked left and wheeled back to camp, giving a few lazy flaps of her wings to gain altitude.

With a loud cry, Ashling took to the sky in a bat form. She was beautiful with grey, leathery, furred skin and to large ears. Her eyes were a deep purple and her bat body was large and thin. The bird flew up to meet the Eastern Rosella. If bats could smile, Ashling would have done so. Although her eyes seemed serious and deadly, the co-master was actually a very kind human thing. Her sharp eyes turned to gaze down at the dog, many miles below. She shook her small head, took a smirking lok at her higher-up and spiraled towards the earth, shifting, as she did so, into a thin cat like figure. Skin (fur) became fur and head became maw. Her body stretched and widened until she had a cat body. black spots appeared in her white fur and her ears protruded from her snowy-white head. The dog cocked its head in confusion as to why a bat had just become a predator. He whimpered as the leapord landed just a few feet from him. His mind was reeling from what he had just seen and he trooted a few more feet away, lay down, and covered his head with his pws, wanting the nightmare to end. Ashling shot back up into the hair, wings sprouting from her back and her body shifting once more...

[Feyth, I know I never mentioned it earlier, but I'd rather your character not change into Avians, since this is Wren's main ability.]

[Alright. But in the future could you just keep Ashling from turning into a bird unless you really have to? Just in this RP at any rate. c:] [EDIT: And I am RPing the dog. He's Wren's pet, but she doesn't know it yet. Eh, it's fine for now that you Rped him, since I never mentioned that. xD]

The bird cocked its head as the bat fluttered in front of her, and then dove down to become a leopard, only to turn into a bat again. What are you playing at? Wren thought irritably, diving down after the bat. Her feathers lengthened and turned a dark black as she streaked towards the ground, wings beating more slowly so she could balance herself as she shifted once more. Now Wren was substantially larger as harpy eagle, her wing span reaching a full 6 feet in length. A large hooked beak clacked open and closed as she gave a raucous call and swooped to hover next to the bat.

He was walking slowly, pausing every once and a while to examine some plant life and jot something down in his leather-backed journal. There was no particular destination in mind, he never really had one. Just walking somewhere, anywhere. If he got lost, he would just consider that another part of the adventure.
Turning, Royce closed his small journal and shoved it in an inner pocket of his coat, and continued his stroll down the gra.ssy trail. He walked with a pronounced limp in his left leg, and leaned heavily on his cane as he went. Whether this caused him irritation was not known, for his scarred face had an ex pression of bliss as he breathed the fresh air and examined plants and animals alike.
It was a good place, and if you had asked him a few weeks ago if he'd ever consider stomping around the Irish wilderness, he would have probably scoffed at you. But here he was. Truly a beautiful place, he wondered why he'd never been here before.
He slowed as he stared upward at the tree tops, admiring the birds flying up there. "Alta alatis patent." Royce remarked fondly, a soft smile on his face. He didn't pronounce the Latin entirely correct, since his accent was so very prominent.
But he knew what he was saying and that was all that mattered. Humming quietly under his breath, he stooped down to look at a yellow iris, and had to check himself to keep from plucking it and taking it with him.

The harpy eagle made a deprecatory noise and flew off, wheeling above the tree tops for a few moments before flying south, her wings beating powerfully as she fought against a sudden wind that had sprung up against her. But she knew what she had to do and she cut through the wind easily, angling her wings just so to catch and use the wind rather than letting it carry her whichever way it wished. Her black and white plummage soaked up the heat of the flaming sun that beat onto the Emerald Isles, and she croaked with irritation as she dove downwards. Nearing a thin well-worn path she creeped closer to the earth as she inspected the man down below her, watching him with fierce yellow eyes. Croaking with curiosity she roosted on a small tree nearby him and shifted to a blue-black raven, not even bothering to hide her ability. It was evident that the man was enjoying the heat, but to Wren he seemed very interested in the flora and fauna around him. Wishing to catch his attention she set her black wings alight with crackling electricity, giving off a sigh of bliss as the pent up energy stored within her was let go.

[[accent warning lol.]] Royce looked up sharply at the noise, his smile disappearing into a frown. Why exactly he was frowning, even he didn't know. Probably because he was upset by the interruption. As this strange little lightening bird was quite happy. "Allo, vhat is this? Little Volgin voron?" He arched a brow, frown twisting into a smile again. "Perhaps Quetzalcoatl," he stumbled a bit over this one, but managed to get it to sound mostly right. "Is a long vay from home." Royce pushed himself to a standing position, wincing faintly and scowling at his leg. "Voron, not very smart, showing stranger such a zing." He was coming off a lot more cooler than he was on the inside. After all, seeing a bird sprouting electricity wasn't an every day occurrence— that is if you were not playing certain games with the little elemental creatures. And Royce wasn't someone who played those games. But it wasn't all that surprising that he sounded quite so monotone, as he wasn't very fond of being excitable. "Vhat if I vas scared hunter? Shoot you pravo out zhe tree, da?" He made a shooting motion with his free hand, making a "pow" noise and nodding sagely. He wondered if he was having an episode and this was some horrifying hallucination. He'd never had one before, but he'd always wonder, what with all the stressing he does.

[Ohmai, this made me lol so hard my sides hurt. I love 'zhe' accent by the way. ^o^] Wren smiled inwardly and hoped closer to the strange man, intrigued by his odd accent. 'Not a Quetzalcoatl,' she croaked with her british accent, giving him a wink with one beady black eye. She gave small chattering cry and cocked her head thoughtfully. This man seemed cool and calm and collected, barely blinking an eye at her behaviour and appearance. 'Not scared? Silly man,' she cooed with her harsh avian voice, an unfortunate drawback to her ability. Of course, he may have abilities too. And I love his accent. It's...goodness, adorable. Just like the way Americans and Candians say cookies and band-aids.

A talking raven. He was off the deep end alright. Still, he wasn't going to be too surprised, in the chance this was actually happening. "Da, last I checked such deity vasn't living close to zhe British Isles." Did that bird just wink at him? Hard to tell. But it was certainly a well placed bl ink. "Vhat reason I have be scared? You are little petitsa. Firevorks, very... good. Might be scary for other person. But I zhink feazhers do not go vell vith fire. Very strange, zhis event. What zhey call "co-een-cee-dence", I zhink." It had been awhile since he had a reason to show off his "abilities" and he fished his lighter out of his pocket. He'd had a few too many incidents with this curse of a gift, which had resulted in mental and more prominent physical scarring, and only really used it when necessary. He flicked the lighter on using his thumbnail, with practiced ease. The little flicker of flame danced and ran down his fingers, the fire rolling over his knuckles like some of those fancy coin tricks some of those crafty magicians did. That was as far as he allowed the fire to go. He would not have any incidents today, not because of a talking bird.

Wren played cool, just giving the man a bl ink. 'Dear. Fire not go well? I am covered with lightning. Same thing.' she said gleefully, adding a small cackle at the end of her sentece for a little extra 'oomph'. As an afterthought, the raven added a small sentence that would probably confuse the poor man to no end. 'So...do you say tomato or toma-h-to? And what about plaster or band-aid?' She flicked her tail up and danced closer to the end of the branch. Realizing that it would no longer hold this weight as the tip dipped dangerously, she shifted into a small hummingbird, the tiny pieces of lightning dancing around her wings become more miniscule. 'You're russian...you are?'

The 17-year-old, found herself a bit lonely and shot off in the direction of where the master had gone. When she found Wren, it was not at all how she had expected Wren to be. First off, she was blatatnly showingher powers to this boy who didn't look confused at all. Something was wrong... or was it right? Ashling landed upside down in the tree, turning herself to face the boy. She examined him from her position and that's when she saw the luighter. she wondered what was going on. Could he be one of them, the co-master wondered. I trust you, Wren. Ashling thought to herself and then let water swirl around her bat body...
