The bell chimed with unbelievable force, the noise cheered into the ears of the students of Monroe Dane High School. As the students pestered to their lockers one last time for several months, Quinn whimsically quivered to hers. Turning the combination, she made sure that she would catch all her friends before they left to go home. She instructed them to meet around the flagpole right after school.
"No one is here yet..." She muttered to herself, peering around, Quinn hoped to catch the sight of her targets. The blue sky dazed in signs of the Summer months withdrawing from the Spring shell, the sun danced and gleamed within the bolting heat. The parking lot just a few hundred feet of Quinn was packed and slowly condensing. Pressing her tiny hands to her chest, Quinn hoped and wished that her friends didn't leave her. If they did, what kind of companions were they?

James nonchalantly cooed out of his cl*censored*, he had been gloating all forth block about how great his Summer was going to be compared to others. Smiling wide and rather obnoxiously, James didn't bother heading to his locker, he carried everything in his backpack. Venturing outside, the heat immediately became known, squinting his eyes and taking in the scenery he took notice of Quinn.
"Oh, hey. Hey, QUINN!"
He analyzed her ex
pression when she turned, it was amazingly ecstatic. James grinned,
"My awesomeness brightened your day, no?"
